[Q] S Health Walking Mate Sync

I use my Galaxy Note 3 (v4.4.2) to count my steps with the built in S Health Walking Mate. In the top right it has a sync button to sync with Galaxy Gear. When I select it, I get a message that says Gear Manager needs to be updated. It then takes me to Samsung Apps app where there is no option to update Gear Manager, it only says Open. I have Gear Manager 2.0.14041404 which I think might be the latest version.
Any idea how to get S Health Walking Mate and Galaxy Gear 2 to sync with each other?
Thanks.

After playing around with this for several hours I do not believe they're working together properly now. I think we shall have to wait for an update to have it work correctly. I even tried downloading S Health 3 and that did not work properly either. For the moment I'm using Fitness for gear.
I completely agree that there appears to be no connection between the up to date s health and the new fitness for gear app we are forced to install from the gear manager app. I also have been searching for a solution because even the fitness for gear application doesn't sync with the watch correctly. Actually, the app is awful, slow, dependent on the cloud for no reason and innacurate (why does it report different step counts than my watch, its only data source...). I really hope Samsung fixes the app, or s health or both ASAP. I am very upset the watch and our phone don't work in unison the way Samsung advertises it to. I am also very upset Samsung has no real customer service to complain to.

Samsung Galaxy S7 App question

What is AASA Service? What does it do? Is it safe to disable it?
What is Samsung Push Service? What does it do? Is it safe to disable it?
Samsung Push Service is the notification service for samsung apps.
if you disable it you will still receive notifications for updates via google store for samsung apps
however if you use all/most of samsung apps...you should keep it
i only use samsung music and samsung themes...and it doesnt impact them in any way.
regarding AASA service...i read that its related to touch wizz but when i disable it nothing happens. no FC, no issues
so not sure what it does

Try to install Samsung Pay on my Gear S3 - phone: "Installation failed, try later

Try to install Samsung Pay on my Gear S3 - phone: "Installation failed, try later
I had Samsung Pay working on the Gear S3 with my Blackberry Priv (Android OS with Marshmallow).
I've now moved to a Blackberry KeyOne (also Android OS but Nougat). I have re-established the new phone with the watch. Notices, work, S-health works.
On the phone, when I open Samsung gear app, Settings, Apps, I see Samsung Pay is installed. If I tap on it, it says "lastest version installed." I cannot UNinstall it (it is grayed out).
But on the watch, each time I invoke Pay, I am prompted to install S Pay in your Samsung Gear app and tap okay. It says check the phone. Where it fails (but as noted it claims it is installed.)
I got quite spoiled using Samsung Pay with the watch and miss it.
Any help appreciated.
For me it looks like Samsung only support Samsung handsets...
Samsung Pay is full of Security/Knox stuff...
So it is IMHO tooo hard to fix it easily and make it with every known non Samsung handset compatible... as End user...
And at the moment it is hard to find users who can help you with Gear S3/SPay problems...
So you more at your own...
Best Regards

SPay for Gear forced update help!

Hi all.
I have a (rooted) S7 Edge paired with my Gear S3 Frontier. I had to factory reset my Frontier recently and it's broken Samsung Pay. SPay for Gear wants to update itself to the latest version, which won't run on my S7 since it detects a modification (either root or Knox0x1), even though I have root hidden via the latest Magisk.
So I can't add cards since the Gear app closes unless I allow the update, and the update won't work.
Any ideas on how to get around this? The S7 Edge ROM I am using is Touchwiz-based. Would changing to a non-TW ROM mask Knox0x1 from being seen by the Gear app?
Thanks.
I don't think knox is revertable. Its specifically Samsung's trick to detect devices that lose warranty...
Either way, check if basic requirements are met before launching Samsung pay.
1. Samsung Pay, Samsung Gear add-on are hidden in magisk options
2. Magisk manager is hidden (in options there's button to hide - it will reinstall magisk manager with new random package name to avoid detection.
If both requirements are met, but still doesn't work, then probably nothing can help.

No more sync with s health

Hi everyone,
hope someone can help and hope thi is the right place. I've got my Samsung galaxy s6 rooted but with S Health working or...apparently working. S Health opens but can't sync data with my Gear Fit2 Pro, stuck in loading data.
Anyone knows hot to fix? Unfortunatelly it's impossible to unroot my phone and having s health working, tried everything yet.
Thanks in advance.
Since 3 days I have also Samsung S6... SM-G920F...
I read Rooting kills Knox... so 0x1
You have still Knox 0x0?
Also I read Shealth is maybe also Knox Product... like Samsung Pay.
Maybe with newest update they increased Security... against you.
Best Regards
I solved with a simple shealth cache clearing and erasing data
