Good evening to everyone
A few days ago, I changed the phone's battery. After that, phone isn't charging with every charger, plus wireless charging isn't working. But when the phone is switched off, everything regarding charging (wireless charging, use of any charger) works absolutely fine....
Also, the slider mechanism, triggers by itself, without me touching the screen. (it vibrates)
I dont think its a software problem, cause I did factory reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Today my Triumph seemed to be draining the battery faster than normal, though I was also making a lot more calls than normal. I have a cable plugged into my PC at work which I plugged into my phone but the driver install window didn't pop up like it normally does and my PC's network connection got very slow. I unplugged it and my PC connection was fine again. I left my phone unplugged for the most part after that though I did plug it in once or twice. I don't think it was ever truly recognized by my PC at work today (it has worked before) though I'm not certain.
When I was about to go home I noticed my phone was off. I knew it was low on battery so I assumed that it had turned off due to low battery. It couldn't have been off any more than 30-60 minutes. I didn't think it should have turned off already for low battery yet though.
I plugged it into my car charger and my phone refused to turn on. About 20 minutes later i unplugged my phone and the red charging light was still on. I had to pull the battery. I then turned on my phone and it was working, but low on battery.
About 45 minutes later I drove home with my phone plugged in, but I didn't check to see if the charging light was on. The phone was still on. When I got home I tried plugging in the phone and I noticed that it was not charging. It still isn't. I have tried the following:
Restarting phone
Plug in while it is turned off (charge light comes on but not charging animation, must pull battery for light to go off. phone will not start while plugged in or charge light is on)
Try plugging into computer rather than wall
Try car charger
Swap battery to stock battery (I use an Anker battery rather than the stock. I haven't used my stock battery for a few weeks to a month. It should have been fully charged but only had less than 50%) and try everything again with same results
Right now I have my Anker battery in which was nearly dead (below 10%) plugged into the wall with it off hoping it will charge. My phone is mostly stock other than I rooted it using the b_randon14's method, installed b_randon14's tweak mod, and flashed in the Sprint PRL using a method from howard forums with the 60681 version. I had links but had to remove them due to not previously posting on this forum.
I noticed the usb cable is not solid in the prot on my phone, but it never was and doesn't seem any different. For example I can move the cable back and forth a little bit while plugged in. It remains plugged in when I do this and while the phone is off it knows it is plugged in obviously. Any ideas?
Ok... I left it plugged in while off for an hour then it started working... very odd. Nevermind then I guess, lol.
Saw this thread, was going to suggest that. Your issue seems to be one that happens across all sorts of devices that have rechargeable batteries, even Android phones (and especially $&!t MP3 players that you'll find at K-Mart). I once made the mistake of buying a $30 MP3 player that refused to turn on once its battery dropped to a certain level. Twice. From K-Mart, of course.
Thank goodness for returns.
I am still having issues and it is really frustrating. Sometimes it will charge when on, some times it won't. The only thing I think MIGHT be common between when it does and doesn't work is how much battery is left. I think it might work more often when the battery is closer to a full charge. What I often do is plug in the phone, shut it off, it will charge but charging animation isn't there and I cannot turn it on until the charging animation shows up. I think it only shows up when the phone is fully charge or close to it (I've only ever seen it when it is fully charged).
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of concrete information on this as i haven't had much time to troubleshoot and verify any of my suspicions. I do know that USB Debugging has nothing to do with it and clearing my battery statistics didn't have any affect either. This issue is very frustrating and I believe are all software based, not hardware.
Any ideas or pointers?
Out of curiosity, have tried a different USB cable? I know that you talked about switching chargers, and I couldn't tell if this was just the base unit and you plugged the same cable in or, if it was a completely different charger and cable.
I have a wall charger with a usb cable at my office, a wall charger with a (different) usb cable at my house, and a car charger with its own non detachable usb cable. All have the same issue.
Alright, so here is a fun issue to deal with. My notepro has always been a little slow to charge, but most of them are. However, its gotten very bad.
I have had issues with screen flicker and a little heat issues and some other small things off an on. So, fed up with it, a few days ago I rooted the tablet. It worked fine. Then I tried to install a new kernel and rom that was getting good reviews. However, when i did this, I couldnt get past the boot screen. Several reinstalls of stock and customer kernels later, my tablet started flashing and eventually died. When it was plugged in, it would show the battery icon with a circle in the middle but then die. Several tries to fix only seemed to solidify the tablet's fate.
However, yesterday I gave it another shot. I assumes the tablet had heated up and made the solder loose, so after a while it was solid again. It started charging, and after reinstalling stock rooted rom and stock kernel repeatedly, it was working again. I then installed the rom and kernel I was trying to before (I had to have a custome kernel to be able to control voltage for the screen flickering issue).
Now it is actually working. All functions are working, and oddly enough I am not seeing any screen flickering.
Only one real problem remains. Battery charging. The battery is charging so slowly that when the tablet is turned on, it doesnt charge at all, it creates a stalemate between charging and draining. It also drains pretty quick. The power drops about 5% in about 5-10 minutes of full screen brightness use (I was testing it this way to try and see if it would flicker again.
Its been charging for about an hour now, and only gone up 5%.
I have tried a couple cords and different bricks, but to no avail.
There are some thoughts, I am wondering if the tablet is only drawing power as if charging from usb, so only around 0.5a instead of 2.4a or so . I am also wondering if there is still a hardware issue.
I do not think it is the rom or the kernel, as this issue was happening as well after I got the tablet working again on stock but before I tried isntalling the rom/kernel again.
Any suggestions? I would be very appreciative.
I had simular problem with very slow charging, reboots and bluescreen. I opend my note to check battery plugg for broken soldering, but I found no problem with it. But to check turely i unplugged battery from main bord and replugged it again. After that I had no problem at all, now its charging normal, no reboots.. stil working perfect after averyday use for about 8 mounts......
If you are using usb cord not usb3 cord it will charge very little when using tablet . Mine will charge when off and below 25% to full in 7 or 8 hrs overnight.

Could be a bad charging port dock/flex cable. These are actually pretty easy to replace and can be found on Amazon. I had to replace one on mine. Try searching for a usb charging port dock flex cable for samsung galaxy note pro. That will cause the issues you are seeing. However the screen flickering sounds like a voltage issue caused by a cracked solder pin from the battery connection to the board. Which is very common on these and hard to see without an electronics magnafication glass. You could try taking the back off and pressing the battery connection firmly while plugging in your tablet and powering it one to see what happens. Either way sounds like a hardware issue.

Ok Guys, had the same problem with my 12.2 samsung tab pro, changed usb chargers, cables etc.
Found that the connector on the tablet itself (female) did not made good contack with the male usb.
So i simply , very careful, with a pair o pliers closed both tips on the usb conector, so the cable enters more tight. And voila, the usb amp meter i had showed a rate of charge from .33 amp , jumped to 1.73 witch is more than enough to charge and use tablet at the same time.
You need to do this at the end of the cable that plugs on the tablet, that is kind of double, maybe a e.0 usb or something like that. Make sure to close both tips. You want a tight connection
Hi, All,
I was charging my phone in my car using the original charger cable but the car charger was not OEM. At some point, the phone stopped charging and it was still on. By the time I reached my destination, the battery died out and the phone switched off and hasn't switched back on ever since. I think the charger slot has stopped working.
1. Could that be it? Will a simple charger-slot change fix my phone? Or could it be something serious (motherboard, battery, etc)? I personally think that it could be the charger slot since the battery died out and then the phone switched off and it wasn't abrupt—which would be the case if there was an issue with the motherboard.
2. If it is bad news, is there any way to access my data? I have some important documents and photos in the phone that I don't want to lose so any way to extract the data from the phone would be useful.
I tried holding vol up + power button, tried connecting the USB cable to PC and switch it on, tried leaving it on charge for 4 - 5 hours and tried switching on, but all in vain. However, if I connect it to the charger and leave it on, the camera part will get heated up. The LED light indicating that the phone is charging will not light up though.
Do let me know if you guys have seen a similar issue. TIA!

I rooted my tab and installed Android 6. After I took those steps, I noticed that it wouldn't charge unless it was powered off even though the charging icon indicated that it was charging when it was powered on. Then I stumbled on something that said that if you just barely connected the charging wire to the charger that that would help solve the problem. See http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-galaxy-tab-2-wont-charge-when-powered-2.html For some reason, this works and I don't know why. Does anyone have any ideas? (Again, when it was totally powered off, it charged fine.

Consider replacing your charging wire and brick. That happened to me way back and I'm glad i don't have to adjust the wire to get it working.
Lightracer,
Thanks for your response. However, my Tab 2 is my backup Tablet, and the charging cord is good enough for me. I am curious as to why barely inserting the wire into the charger causes the Tab 2 to charge correctly. Simply makes no sense, unless a good number of charging cords have the same defects. Also, what is weird to me is that my Tab 2 charges correctly when it is powered off.

Well the answer to this weird issue might seem to be from a software related one. since the same cable charges the tab while it's off. Right?
but in my experience from all the experiments I have done, this issue is solved only by changing the cable or the whole charger or consider replacing the battery(Root cause of your issue).
a battery near it's end would have all sort of weird behaviour.
it will deplete if using while charging, would go from 100 to 5 percent if you restart, then start going up again if left untouched without charging. so there you are!
hope this would make things clear to you now.
