Help with granting root access? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have seemingly done everything that's needed to have a functioning nethunter kernel on top of lineage os 18.1 - My oneplus one starts up with kali nethunter -
On the Nethunter Startup notification, it states ROOT: No root access is granted. Also when I click on the nethunter app, it says no root access...
I used the SuperSu.zip and flashed using twrp and it said everything went fine....i think I am missing something between using SuperSu or flashing magisk.
Can someone enlighten me?

Step 1- installed twrp 3.1.1-0 by fastboot mode
Step 2-installed Magisk Manager and download magisk v 12.0 zip file from magisk manager.
Step 3-Reboot to twrp recovery and select (Swipe To Allow Modifictions),then i flashed Magisk v 12.zip file from install menu and after that reboot device.(recovery log)
Step 4-Run Magisk Manager and see this Status:

(tpjohnwu)Pic 1.
Superuser show on Magisk manager menu(Pic 2) and apps send request for permission to #superuser(Pic 3).
On the surface everything is OK but i have problem, for example i installed Link2SD app to use that for uninstall system apps and freez apps but does not work properly & show error msg(Pic 4).
I would be honored if you tell me what is my problem,thanks...
Hi, did you install busybox? I'm not familiar with Magisk nor Link2SD, but I can imagine there's an option to "ignore systemless root" so you'll be able to make changes to the system partition.
Do other root apps have problems as well?

I think you'll be better off if you install the latest LOS ROM (20170530) and flash SuperSU. I don't know about Magisk, but I've never experienced problems with SuperSU. Once rooted, install busybox from the playstore and install into "system/xbin/"
In SuperSU make sure you override LOS root settings since it's set to off by default. By the way, you can turn on LOS root settings manualy. That way you don't need Magisk or SuperSU at all. Settings can be unlocked by tapping the build number several times in settings-->Device status. A menu will be unlocked called Developers options. Within that menu you'll find the root settings.
Good luck

twrp manager? you don't need it at all, nor should you need to play with selinux.
Manually download twrp from the thread. Install it within twrp itself using install-install image-recovery.
If you really want to use an app to install twrp, I've had good success with Flashify and didn't need to play with selinux or anything, just downloaded twrp manually, and pointed flashify at it.

Thanx that worked out really good I now have TWRP Recovery on my phone. The Flashify app is a lot better than the TWRP Manager by far. Thank you for good advice.

Use adb to uninstall app on root phone

Hi
I root phone galaxy M12 according to the link below:
[ROOT] Modified Magisk for Galaxy A21S (R)
It seems that the A21S hasn't had any root since it was released (other than pre-rooted GSI ROMS) When flashing Magisk, the phone went into bootloop, and the only way to fix it was to flash stock rom via Odin. After some analysis, it seems that...

Can I use adb to remove apps I don't use on root phone?
I tried using debloater(terminal emulator ) , but I feel more secure using adb to uninstall.
The question here is why as I am on a root phone using magisk , I do not know if uninstalling using adb , I can modify system partitions ...
sorry my noobism , thank you
What has Magisk itself to do with modifying Android's ecosystem / uninstalling apps?
Magisk isn't required to root phone's Android means having unrestricted access to Android system.

Question Removing Magisk Module Through Custom Recovery on Android 12

Is there any ways to remove Magisk Modules through Custom Recovery on android 12?
Incase we installed a Module that can cause bootloop
As you guys know since android 12
No Custom Recovery was able to decrypt data encryption yet, so we're unable to access the folder that contains Magisk Modules

You could use DFE (If you want unencrypted data) or use magisk module for recovery. to remove unwanted magisk modules

Power phone off completely. Power on and when MIUI logo shows on screen hold volume down button until phone boots, this will disable all magisk modules you have installed. It's called magisk safe mode. You can now enter magisk app and enable modules one by one until you find the culprit.
Sidenote: I upgraded from xiaomi.eu 12.0.6 to 13.0.3 using fastboot. TWRP was unable to decrypt when I booted to recovery to install magisk after update. I rebooted back to MIUI and disabled pin and fingerprint. Rebooted back to TWRP and was able to access data and install magisk from the downloads folder. So try disabling screen lock and see if TWRP is working then.
Well orangefox has magisk manager built in, so modules can be removed with a swipe
you can navigate to data/adb/modules folder in twrp file manager without decryption needed and delete module folder.
worked for me on android 12.
I got stuck at Xiaomi logo after installing some module. The storage is encrypted on Android 12, decryption in recovery is not possible at the moment. So using OrangeFox or deleting /data/... is not possible.
The only solution that worked for me was accessing the safe mode and running this command from adb shell.
magisk --remove-modules

Question LineageOS 19.1 + root with magisk: how to do that?

What's the best way, to install root with magisik on an a52q device?
The manual at https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html seems to describe how to install root with the official Samsung OS, but not with LineageOS?
And how can I update LineageOS regularly with staying root persistent?
Thanks!

LineageOS, at least the PHH builds, already have root built in. Just install the Magisk app.

When I install the Magisk app, it says:
Installed: N/A
Zygisk: No
Ramdisk: Yes
When pressing the Install button, I'm asked for selecting and patching a file.
What I'm doing wrong? I use this manual: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/a52q/install
Flash Magisk in TWRP. No need to rename the extension, TWRP will flash apks.
