Moto G Stylus 2020 - USB C Power + data - Moto G Stylus (Moto G Pro) Questions & Answers

I picked up a used Moto G Stylus in hopes that i could use it to run octoprint4a for my 3d printer. The issue that I'm running into is the USB C port seems to only want to allow me to either charge the phone or to control the printer. I'd very much like for it to beable to do both. I havent been able to find alot of info on the subject other than mention that some folks have been able to tweak the kernel on other android devices so that it would take power and also work as a host/data transfer. has anyone had any success with this? I'm on android 11 Os.

[GUIDE] Enable OSP on LG Phones (On-Screen-Phone)

So I haven't really come across a guide on OSP, yet alone a video. So sense I love making videos, I made a video
Anyway it just goes over the steps you take to get OSP up and running and the different ways you can use to make a connection. In case you didn't know OSP allows users to completely control their LG Android Devices from any computer on the same router, portable hotspot, or connected via USB. This thing is awesome and I just had to share it because I came across it on accident and just fell in love.
You need the following:
LG OSP Software (http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP930)
LG Supported Device
Android ICS or Higher
Tested and working on my LG Nitro HD, it should work for a variety of other LG Phones too, just check the video out and it will fill you in on the rest!

[Completed] [Q] Not Sure Where to Post This

Ok, this is definitely a rather unusual question and may not even be able to be answered on this site (perhaps not even within show of the site - if so, my apologies).
The problem: I have a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop with urgent files. The screen is broke.
What resources I have: I have been using a HDMI cable to use my TV as a monitor, until I broke the cable. I have a second laptop (HP 15-1009wm J2V78UA#ABA) fully functional (does not have BT radio). I have T-Mobile HTC One M8 unlimited everything + hotspot. I also have a Cricket ZTE Sonata z740g (the digitizer is broke and I have to remotely control it over Wi-Fi with the M8).
How can I set up either phone or the HP as an extended display, at the very least (I can ctrl+a , alt+m, and use arrow keys to move the desktop files - where the urgent folder is - or even ctrl+a , ctrl+c [or x], ctrl+v. Anyway, I'm sure everyone here knows that. I want to know if anyone knows if this is possible to retrieve the files (with absolutely nothing pre-installed for remote management) without having to physically swap the drives - it's a pain in my arse, you know, proprietary issues. It can be done though, just trying to avoid it.
Self Answered!
Never mind... After a little ingenuity and some hot key action I backed up my entire HD (Windows partition and Kali partition) to my FTP.

Info and Question regarding OTG on our Moto G (Falcon;2013)

dear all falcon user , i've some curiosity regarding OTG.
-> I found only our moto G gives over 4 volt through OTG and that can fluently run any portable HDD without any extra power (any rom). its tested and i use a portable HDD. did you found any other set with this feature? i didnt found any.
-> is there any difference between OTG and USB Host? i also run a portable usb speaker. some OTG suported device does support only pen drive/flash drive+Mouse+KyBrd. does not detect any HDD/USB speaker (eg Moto E 2nd/ local Chinese brand). i just want to know the difference of their OTG system.
sorry for my long post. hope u'll share ur knowledge if got enough time to reply. thanks.

USB TV Stick through OTG

our cute falcon has ability to detect almost everything through otg and it can even run portable HDD directly without extra power. that means jt can deliver full usb power (>4.5).
I've a usb tv stick. I have a wish to run it on my falcon. when I attached it through otg, the tv stick light the power led but cant see there any option on phone. brand is gadmei. so, is there any way or apps to tune and run it on my device as ur knowledge, plz share with me.
thanks.

Turning old Moto G into Desktop PC?

I was wondering how feasible it would be to use this as a desktop computer. I have a CDMA variant that a family member used back when they worked in the states but here in Canada, no carrier supports this phone so I want to
give it some other use around the house.
I know MHL is not supported but would there be any way to connect like a keyboard and a mouse to it and an external display to it?
Also, is it worth getting a chromecast and turning into a dedicated streaming device maybe? If anyone has any other possible creative uses of an old android phone, I am open to it.
Thanks!
