Question What do people think of the Samsung official cases - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I have the clear with stand, leather and the PVC case. All three aren't great in my view.
The clear with stand has scratched far too easily, the leather scores too easily and the PVC is a lint magnet, which makes it unpleasant to use. Anyone else have different experiences?
I got the elago hybrid, and Spigen liquid air too. Both considerably less expensive. Zero issues.

I have the OEM leather case. Looks nice, but, I used it for about 5 minutes, it makes an already large phone a real handful.
I'm using an ultra thin carbon fiber case:
Super Slim Case for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 6.8", Real Aramid Fiber Protective Cover Skin/Wireless Charging Friendly https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PRV3Q3...t_i_7M7WCKXKNVSTHFRN2DJQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
While it doesn't provide as much drop protection as most cases, it provides good protection from everyday wear & tear/scratching.

Overpriced and quality-wise not so good I would say.

i just go on aliexpress and buy multiple cases at <$5. all the ones on amazon are just marked up cases that ali express sells anyway

I've fallen in love with the strap case.

I use the original leather case after i tried the original sillicon case. The sillicon was to sticky hard to get it in the pocket and out
I love the original leather case because it has single holes for every camera it looks much cleaner that way also the feel of the leather. I dont worry about scratchmarks they tend to go away after a few days because its leather you have to use it for a while to get it resistant with your hand oils and fats till it looks good you can also balm it with leather balm
I understand people who dont like the nature of leather but you have to know it will change its appearance with time and you have to care for it
When i know it will be a dirty day, gardening working on the car doing craftswork i just slip on the sillikon case
I have the leather case now 3 weeks and it looks greater then as it was new

Been using their silicone case since the Note 9. Have the one with strap for my Ultra and can't go to any other case. Quality is superb and the grip is very nice.

I bought the Samsung Rugged case when I got my Note9. I used it until I traded-in the Note9 for the S22 Ultra. I never had any problems with it and my Note9 looks brand new. Unfortunately, the new cases from Samsung are poor quality by comparison, so I went with a different brand.

I bought both Smart View Flip and Samsung's silicone cases for my S22 Ultra, like them both! Very good. I currently use the smart view flip case and thought I would get annoyed opening and closing the front cover but ultimately, I ended up liking it more than the open covers.
I just wish they used the nice silicon material like on their silicon case version which feels much nicer than the material used on the smart flip view case.

Thanks for the reviews...in regard to the Nillkin case/bumper...I only found sellers in China on eBay...you know of any US sellers or Amazon sellers? I checked both but didn't find anything...thanks!!
Yes your correct I purchased it from a China supplier via eBay. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but overall good value for money.
I have two of the 3 main cases reviewed in same colors. The Samsung protective case fits better than the Nillkin. The Nillkin required some excess removal around the USB and mics to fit without slightly pulling away from bezel near the home button and allowing light to peak through the USB port. The fit here is much better on the Samsung case.
The lack of side grip is actually worse and more like the Verus Thor case, the Samsung protective case gets more slippery when cold than the Nillkin case. The Nillkin despite its smooth sides doesn't lose as much grip when cold.
Also, the Nillkin case fits the headphone jack better IMO because it covers all the chamfered edges. Once I fitted the USB port, I could say that I prefer its fit around the USB port better for the same reason but there is some concern about the fit near the mics. The Samsung case fits the mics perfectly and tight and even accommodates the Verizon spacing here. My modification on the Nillkin is not precise so I think the Samsung case may actually sound better on a call.
The review mentions the Nillkin is easy on, easy off; exactly, but it appears the Samsung case is harder to remove than even the Verus Thor despite looking and feeling quite similar around the bezel lip. The Samsung case feels as if it needs to stretch to come off but less cooperative at doing so when cold.
Others have said the Nillkin is compatible with the OEM wireless charger cover. If so, the case may appeal to both the wireless chargers and frequent battery replacement users.
I may try the S curve case but would like to know if it covers the chamfered edges as nice as the Nillkin but also fits the mics as perfectly as the Samsung protective case+?
damn that sucks about the Samsung case.. amazon is full of 5 star reviews so I got it.. and now I'm reading it sucks. and i spent 20 bucks on that stupid thing. damnit. oh well it comes Monday so we'll see. I'm using the diztronic now and it's nice, but i agree with him that the s line case is great. I've got the same one, but it doesn't fit as well as it should around the bottom lip of rhe phone, and the cutouts don't match the Verizon one. also, there's no raised edge around the camera and i don't like that since I place my phone down on its back.

There must not be a perfect case out there at the moment. What disappoints me about the Samsung protective case+ is the cold grip and ease of removal. Your results may differ; hoping warmer weather improves the ease of removal. I do think the warmer weather grip is good. We've had a warm day and a cold day since the case arrived. The fit is as nice as the Verus Thor.
To be fair on the grip gripes, I have small hands and suffer from dry skin in colder environments. Both tend to make these cases cold, hard and slippery.
Thanks for the commentary on the S Line case.
The cases compromise one thing or another. For now, I can deal with the lack of grip of the Samsung case because it's minimal. Don't get bummed until you try it yourself.
I got the Samsung, and i have no problem with grip issues. probably bc i used the diztronic for like 3 weeks.. and the sides of that are slippery too. this to me is decent enough grip. I actually love this Samsung case. it's thin. feels better than the diztronic. really keeps the phone shape the same. I got the blue and it looks so cool

I thought I was going to buy the Tech 21 Tactical Impact in matte black today. T-mobile only had the mesh in purple; I tried the fit on my phone and hate the exposed chamfered edges near the headphone jack. Also lacks the raised camera lip. Disappointing. The salesman said the black matte case, which they didn't have ATM, would be identical in fit. Deal breaker for my pursuit of a better case. The Nillkin Armor bumper case and Samsung are the better cases, for me. The Verus Thor is third for me.
Next week I should recieve e.grips which I plan to stick on the Samsung case.
It's amazing that we can't find a great slim case with a good grip.

I've actually been rocking my Verus Iron Shield without the metal frame for about a week... I really like it that way. It's quite a bit less bulky and kind of seems like the Samsung Protective Cover, but it's quite a bit more protective and I think that the TPU that Verus used feels better. I actually printed up some "carbon fiber patterned" strips on adhesive vinyl decal paper to wrap around the bezel (of the case). I think it looks and feels super nice that way
More like top 25 dude can't count lmao
i get a lot of compliments from people when they see my copper gold caseology case.. especially since i work at bestbuy and you already know what their choices look like lol

Sounds snazzy. Any chance of some pics?
Spigen does not have any place on this list. Their cases have a horrible design around the heart rate monitor that makes it practically useless. Replace Spigen with UAG and you have a pretty good list.

1 000 000 000 times AGREE!
The only cases I would look at are the Verus cases...
Which case(s) is best is completely subjective as it's based on how much protection you want vs. how much bulk you're comfortable with & which features you want.
For me I must have maximum protection, a kickstand, covered rocker switches, USB & headphone dust covers & a belt clip holster. The Otterbox Defender has all those features & IMO is a very well designed & high quality piece. You just need to remove the plastic screen protector & use something else.
After using the Defender for several months my phone edges/corners are not scratched as reported on this forum by several other users.

Generic TPU cases are usually good.
Case
I think Urban Army Cases are very good. They are very solid!
A friend of mine use an AVIZAR waterproof case and a BEYOND CELL TRI SHIELD HYBRID (not on the same time )
He is happy with the two.
i think it depends on how you use your phone. i usually prefer the ultrathin tpu case but now i'm using Seidio Obex Waterproof Case and it worked as i expected before
IMHO the best case for s4 is go naked and not using any case
Otter box has a new line that I am very impressed with. The symmetry line is like the the commuter in that it is silicone and hard plastic. But it's one piece making it much less bulky. They come in plenty of different colors and has a great raised edge to protect the screen from face down dropping. Which I have done many times. And my second place choice is made by a tactical firearm accessories company, Magpul field case. Up until recently they only made cases for macntrash. It's a little harder than the typical tpa case but flexible enough for installation. And it also has a raised edge and comes in a variety of colors. Looks like one of their p-mags
I use this case for the past two years and i didnt had a single problem

I use case Carbon fiber, i feel more durable.

All the way, Urban Armor Gear with Tempered Glass. Using this combination from quite some time and in the mean time have dropped phone four to five times and no problem arose.
I had a Spigen Slim Armor View Case for a little over a year and I loved it, but the plastic around the volume buttons broke from removing it to change batteries too much.

This model wasn't available in the color I wanted through Amazon Prime so I ordered the Spigen Neo Hybrid Series.
I live it so far, it's smaller and slimmer than the Silm Armor, it was metal around the edges instead of rubber so the first time the case hits the grounds it's going to scratch, which I don't like. The buttons are a little easier to press with the Neo Hybrid but the opening for the charger cable is a little small, I have to shave down some of the micro USB cables to fit.

Some of the cases mentioned above provide a lot more protection but they are way too big for me.
I have a Cellular Line cover. I bought it almost 2 years ago and my phone is still in perfect conditions.

What case do you use on Nexus 6P?

Hey guys. I just decided to try Nexus 6P. Looking for some great cases to protect it! But also I don't wanna spoil the original look of it since the design's so unique and beautiful!Just got two clear cases for my former Nexus 6 from AMZ and looks wonderful, yet the clear case get darken yellowed after few weeks using, so just share your N6P case experience here and enjoy!
Long response incoming:
I initially bought a official microfibre Adopted case (in carbon) from Google along with my N6P (aluminium). I paid full price for it, but I thought it was worth the premium for an official case and the design was cool and unique. Massively underwhelmed when I received it, because it's nothing more than a generic TPU case with a thin "sticker" of microfibre on the back, which I sensed would be prone to staining and, over time, peeling. The fit was also really tight and button presses weren't that responsive. I decided in the end that the Nexus branding wasn't worth the premium, so I returned it.
I then ordered a charcoal Diztronic case. I've had good experiences with Diztronic in the past, having used their case on my Galaxy Nexus as a daily driver. It was cheaper than the Spigen Rugged Armor and I appreciated the minimalist aesthetic, not being a fan of the faux carbon fibre pattern on the Spigen. The fit and finish was great, and the buttons were clicky and responsive. My only minor niggle was the cutout for the camera sensor wasn't completely accurate, as it cut off part of the circle surrounding the sensor (100% an aesthetic oversight with no impact on function).
I then bought a Speck Candyshell Grip (in white) during the Black Friday sale, when it was 50% off. Definitely my favourite case of the three I've tested so far. It provides the most protection (being a dual-layer silicone and polycarbonate hybrid), looks striking, and, as the name implies, provides a ton of grip.
I've had a Speck Candyshell on my iPod touch and over 4 years later, it's still kept my iPod in perfect condition. The case itself is scratched up and turned a bit off-white, but I haven't exactly been gentle with it (having taken it traveling and camping) so I'm confident in its protective capabilities.
I'll likely be rocking the Speck case as my daily driver for the time being, and I'll only swap back to the Diztronic when I want a more toned-down look and slimmer profile (maybe if I'm at a fancy event wearing slacks).
Finally, I also pre-ordered a white Crash Guard + Project S from Evolutive Labs when they offered 25% off the first 50 pre-orders. IMO this would be the solution to preserving the Nexus's original design and aesthetics, while still providing a lot of protection (if the demo videos are any indication). I have no idea what Project S is, though (hopefully some kind of transparent skin, though they said it wasn't going to be made of the same material as the Rhino Shield).
I have a tempered glass screen protector from intelliARMOR protecting the front (second generation/first revision, the model prior to production of the two distinct "case-friendly" and "edge to edge" versions). It's been fine with both the Diztronic and Speck cases, though I'm curious as to whether the edge-to-edge versions might also be compatible with the Speck and Crash Guard, as there's just 1 mm between the edges of the cases and screen protector, where I find dust and grease can get trapped in between.
If you're looking for clear cases, there're Spigen's Ultra Hybrid and Neo Hybrid EX cases. The Ultra Hybrid is a single-layer case with a clear polycarbonate back framed by TPU along the edges. I wouldn't recommend it personally because I've heard that clear TPU will stain over time (as likely what happened to your original case), and the visor is completely exposed and thus prone to scratches.
The Neo Hybrid EX consists of 2 pieces: a clear TPU shell and a coloured polycarbonate bumper (essentially, the reverse of the Ultra Hybrid). It looks to be the best clear case I've seen in terms of protection (as the visor is actually covered), but I don't know how the clear TPU will fare over time, whether it will also be prone to staining. I'd wait on reviews for this case before ordering, and for it to be listed on Spigen's Amazon store, which will likely be cheaper than buying it off their main website or eBay store.
To be honest it's the first device that I don't have a case for it although I have a tampered glass and a pouch. But I'm waiting for some skins from dbrand and a wooden skin from toastmade.
Tapatalked with my Nexus 6P
I got the carbon cloth backed Nexus 6P case originally and I really like the look and feel of it, but it's not the most protective. The only issue I've had with it is taking screenshots (the case presses buttons you don't mean to) and it wouldn't work with a tempered glass screen protector (it peels it up).
On the black Friday I got the Speck CandyShell in black/slate and I'm digging it. It's more protective and it makes the button presses a little harder, which I like. I would think it'd work with a glass screen protector as the bezels don't intrude onto the glass very much.
I use a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Hybrid as my standard case. I usually slide it in my pants or jacket pocket. I do wish there was a belt clip for the Beetle Hybrid, but to get a belt clip case combo you typically are into something much thicker and substantial that is, for me, unnecessary. When I'm wearing a suit, I use it bare and carry it in a Story Leather belt clip holster made for the iPhone 6s Plus. The phone has a Skinomi Tech Glass protector on it.
My experience mirrors LuckyDragan a little bit.
My first case was the microfiber case from the Google store. While it looked nice and the in hand feel was decent, I felt it cost way too much for what it was. I ended up returning it because when I pressed the edge of the case by the buttons it would change the volume. Not cool for a $35 case.
Next case is the reg. Adopted case. It's not bad. I really like the textured sides. It's also fairly narrow. Thing is, I paid $10 for it, at the reg. price of $20, I'm not sure if it's worth it. By the pics I've seen, I think it looks better than the Diztronic, especially the fingerprint cut out.
3rd case is the Spigen Rugged Armor. Except for the camera cut out (I don't like how it doesn't leave room for the blueish oval), I think it looks the best of all the cases I've tried so far. My nags are that It's all little wide and slippery. At $13.00?, it's a good buy.
4th case is the Speck Grip. My favorite so far. It's not as thin as the other cases but not bulky. The grip is awesome, no problem using the phone with one hand. At first glance, I didn't think it was the best looking case, but it's starting to grow on me. The protection and how it makes the phone so much easier to handle makes it a winner. @ $20 I paid during the Google store's sale, I think it's worth it. @ the reg. price of $40, idk.
If haven't yet, check out Pilz review thread, so much good info.
White Speck case as my daily driver.
I have tried the Diztronic one, while it does provide protection, did not like how loose the edges felt, definitely not as snug and stiff as my Diztronic Ultra that is on my GS6. It easily bent out edges for my taste, and thought of getting some debris that could scratch up the phone was bugging me somewhat. If you need a very minimalist, fingerprint resistant, and decent lip for screen protection, that is the case to have.
Also have the Supcase Unicorn Hybrid Ultra. great case, snug and firmer edges than the Diztronic one, but damn, is that case slippery. I have a habit of placing the phone on my car seat, and that thing just slides around like a hockey puck on ice when placed on its back. Placing it face down did help... still preferred it over the Diztronic.
But snagged the White Speck Candy Shell Grip case at 50% off, love it. Excellent grip, very tight and solid felling edges, does not slide when placed on a my car seat. Wished they offered a matt finish white version of this, since I am not a fan of shiny cases, but the black rubber lines offset it enough to be likable for me. Sporting the Orzly TGSP,with that case there is a minimal space between the glass and the edges of the case, nearly perfect sealed fit. Hoping the intelliglass ones are a bit more of an coverage so that it could have a near gapless glass to case seal, still waiting on receiving mine...
Currently have the Tudia case which is brill, but also got the Spigen rugged case coming.
Official microfiber case in carbon. No screenshot issues or button issues in general. I love the soft fabric feel. Feels more "welcoming" than the cold, hard plastic/TPU of other cases I've used. Regarding durability, I'm a little concerned, but only time will tell how the microfiber will hold up.
Smoked Ringke fusion is my case of choice, at least for now. I also have the Orzly flexicase and Spigen rugged armor. Don't really care for either of those.
Anyone want to trade a case for the spigen rugged armor? mint condition and hasn't been used other than trying it on once.

I'm also using this case and think it's a good balance of fitting, protection, minimal bulk, etc all for a low price. I bought it off Amazon for $11 but unfortunately it's been outta stock for the past month or so. I wished they had a clear case instead of smoke coloring though.

The Spigen rugged arrived today and it is SOOOO much nicer than the Tudia one. Better fit and feels nicer and more secure.

I've had a few cases so far.
SR Tech - Typical TPU case. Decent protection. Cutouts were slightly off. Total fingerprint/oil magnet. Got real slippery after a week or so of use and required a wipe down. Did not interfere with my Pleson TGSP.
Spigen Rugged Armor - Soft touch finish felt really good in hand. Very good protection at the sacrifice of some added bulk. Cutouts were precise and buttons had a nice tactile feel. Soft touch got some smudges on it occasionally but not nearly as bad as the SR case. Did not interfere with my Pleson TGSP but it was really close.
Spigen Thin Fit - Very interesting finish on this case. Kinda felt like the back of the Nexus 6. Fingerprints weren't really a problem but oil/smudging was. Case snapped on snugly and provided good protection for the covered areas. Top and bottom of the phone were exposed. Did not interfere with my Pleson TGSP.
Nillkin Nature - This is my daily driver. Pretty much the same as the SR Tech, only about half the thickness. Cutouts are more precise and there is a cover for the Type C port, which I really like. This is literally the thinnest case I've ever used and it really helps make the already large 6P more manageable in the hand. I wish it came in a matte finish so oil/fingerprints weren't so much of an issue, but other than that I'm happy.
Adopted for now until bumpers start arriving and be reviewed.
Ringke smoke and Google Microfiber. Like both and switch weekely

I switch from the official google carbon case and spigen ultra hybrid. They are great cases but the buttons on both aren't the best. I also have speck case but I use it for when I go to the gym. Diztronic case is nice but phone feels loose inside and verus case.. Its whatever.

Spigen Hybrid

You want good corner hit protection or it will get damaged. The clear ones don't cut it. These are heavy phones that wuv to corner hit
Been using the Zizo Bolt case on my N10+ for 2 years, zero damage. Has been dropped on concrete from 2-4 feet more times then I liked to admit. Thin, easy to hold and clean, doesn't attract dirt, and doesn't fall apart when dropped.
The screen protector on this one might be a throw away; I use Gorilla IQ Sheild which works very well. The inner case kick stand is fragile but doesn't effect the protection.
s22 ultra, zizo bolt case - Google Shopping
Pitaka. I like em thin
Currently have Spigen Slim armor however Spigen Tough armor arrives tomorrow. The Tough armor is what I've used on my last 3 note devices and haven't had issues with it's protection yet.
Am rotating between Spigen Thin fit and Mous case.
Going between Spigen Liquid Crystal and Liquid Air Armor. Both have the individual camera cuts. I prefer the look of the Armor, but Liquid Crystal feels like I can drop it from 4 inches as opposed to 2 inches.
I ordered the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle pro. I wanted one with a stand AND camera closure slide window so that when I'm not using my camera my fingers won't touch the lenses and smudge them, but I couldn't find one without the metal ring type stand which blocks it from being able to wireless charge. I know this because I did already pre-buy a case that had both the stand and camera window slide closure thing, but it will not pick up a wireless charge. I feel like the Beetle Pro will accept wireless charging because the stand doesn't look like it protrudes very far.

Good call on th cryo armor! I just looked and it's available on Amazon now, for half of what their website says lol. Just ordered.
Found this S22 Ultra cases review. Might help to decide.
OtterBox Defender Pro with Belt clip. You can drop it on concrete or asphalt and it won't even scratch the case much less the phone. I been using the Defenders since the s7 Edge and never traded a phone in to Samsung that didn't look brand new and sratchless. The only downside is it will make your phone heavier but I can live with that. I've dropped mine on a concrete tile floor at work 3 times over the years and never even for scratched. If you keep your phone in your pocket in an office environment you can get away with slinmer cases. But if you work in a brutal environment it pays to have that extra protection.
I purchased the Samsung Black Leather Cover Case.
Precise , minimal, good quality and snug.
I would like the UAG MONARCH KEVLAR SERIES but it does not yet appear to be available in the UK and I'm hesitant to import it via the States.
Spigen Liquid Air Case , I like the look and cuts for every camera lens
I really liked Pitaka from the review.
Also considering dbrand case or Spigen Thin
Got CaseBorne S series and R series, BUT my phone is being delayed for shipping Will test but on naked view, the cases look AWESOME and with proper corner protection.
