Just bought a Realme 4k stick with google tv.
I used to have an android 7 tv box with mouse and keyboard.
For some reason on google tv the mouse and keyboard does not work properly.
When I go to settings it expects keyboards moves so if I click on mouse it always click on the first option.
On netflix app I can´t choose the profile on mouse, the same problem, it expects some keyboard left right, not a mouse click.
At my old android 7 tv box, the mouse right button was a back key on menu. All worked well with this setup of back and forth...
anybody succeeded using external usb mouse/keyboard?
Hi there do you solve problem? I cant even use any keyboard and Mouse not even extra usb drive to watch photos etc. What kind of hub do you use? I have a hub with external power delivery where i connect power charge then connect micro usb to stick all works but when I connect any external (Mouse, kboard, usb drive) nothing happens.

Hello, I have a problem with Android
I'm on Gingerbread stock at my Xperia Neo V
Using USB OTG cable, I connected the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000 and everything is working great with one problem - the keyboard hides when I connect the mouse to USB port.
Device is reading this wireless dongle as a Microsoft Nano Transceiver v2.0 so I guess it's like a mouse and a keyboard for system, but I have only mouse.
My wired desktop mouse is detected as a USB Mouse and can use keyboard.
I have tried several keyboards but none worked - even OpenWnn with Use Hardware Keyboard unchecked.
Is there anything that I can do, maybe some keyboard?

i recently bought a Much i5 Android device with Android 4.2.1 preinstalled.
I also bought the Flirc IR Remote adapter which I connected on the USB OTG Port. First it worked fine, but a day later the device stopped to recognize any hardware keyboard on the USB OTG Port.
What's weird ist that it still regognizes Mice and Flash drives.
When I connect a keyboard I can still see it using the app "USB Host Controller" even the name of the keyboard.
Why is it not recognized by the system itself?
I have to mention that I changed the generic.kl under system/usr/keylayout to work with the Flirc keymapping. (I already set it back to stock, but that didn't change anything)
Also before this happened there was a option to enable or disable external keyboards in the keyboard selection menu of android.
I will reward the working solution with $10.

Ok, I found a workaround:
I used the App "External Keyboard Helper" which recognises the keycodes from the external keyboard and gives me the option to remap the incoming keypresses.
Hi I made this thread to find out how I can get USB OTG to work. I have cm 11 s3 mini and want to control my phone by a remote and plug ? flash drives in but have no idea how this works. Also if you could provide a link for a USB OTG cable it would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Its just plug and play. You plug in the USB OTG cable to the phone's micro USB port and on the other end its a female USB port (the same like in your laptop or pc). So you just put in a pen drive and it will get detected on its own. You can open a file manager app and access it, or you can access it directly from any of your other apps (for example if you use MX player for seeing videos then the pen drive videos will automatically load up in the app as well).
To control your phone remotely I am guessing you mean keyboard/mouse?
If you plug in a mouse, a cursor shows up the next second and you have a working mouse. Same with a keyboard, works on its own. If you want to use both together, you need a wireless keyboard and mouse so that you can plug in the dongle to the otg cable, and then both the keyboard and mouse will instantly start working.
If you have a PS3 controller you can even connect that to your phone and use it to play many games - but this does not work via plug and play, you need to follow instructions to set this up and you can search on xda or google for that.
If you search USB OTG on amazon or ebay you will find loads of places to buy it from in your country.

I have a strange issue.
I have an android tv box (M8s+) that I had attached to a pc monitor for set up so my wife could watch tv. I used a HDMI to VGA cable to attach it. I had as USB mouse attached to the box. There were no problems at all using the mouse for the set up.
I moved the box to my Vizio tv. This time the box was connect via HDMI. I cannot get the mouse cursor to show up at all. I know it is there as sometimes when I click randomly stuff opens. Also the right click button works to back up.
I am sure it is not the tv as I have a windows 7 pc attached to it that I have used both as usb mouse and an Ipazz wireless mouse/keyboard with no issues.
I tried the ipazz as well with the android box and again nothing.
Thoughts?

So I have managed to connect my mouse and keyboard at the same time to my galaxy s8+ (android 8)
But I'm trying to remap the keys for the keyboard so I can play mobile games with them both
So I used the app octopus to recognise my Lenovo 300 wireless mouse (which is connected via The OTG to usb type-C ) so now I can move the screen and shoot freely
And I connected my laptops keyboard via Wi-Fi with the app called Wi-Fi keyboard , the keyboard is working normally like a usb keyboard , even the arrow keys are working as they are supposed to , and I have no input lag what so ever
So, I'm trying to combine these two into one inside the game ( PUBG mobile)
If anyone has an idea please help
