I already use Google cam , that is dang near similar to stock sony. Slow mo doesn't work on Oreo but the camera quality on aosp is extremely excellent compared to the nuked drm keyed stock camera. I will link if asked

Which version are you using? I`ve tried countless versions with AOSP (android 8.1), but none would work. Link would be nice.

The shutter button hangs for me after trying to take a picture no matter if hdr is on or off. I think it's either working only on global rom or Indian variant of 8a. I'm not sure how to tell which variant u have unless u bought it there locally. I'm currently on EU rom instead of global but the model my 8a is global version with more bands since I ordered it online. Also I think gcam is supposed to work if these are showing but it doesn't for some reason

After testing multiple GCAMs and performing multiple tests. The only cameras that i found compatible are: Camera Go, GCAM version 3 and some versions 4. Also a version 5 but without HDR +.
The rest of GCAM does not work on Redmi 8A.

lens blur is very bad in stock 32bit rom
you can use gcam 6.x if you install 64bit miui

64bit gcam link plz
I've found this port of gcam for redmi 8a. Everything works except for the front camera. If you want front camera to work you need to enable hdr+ for front cam in settings which will break the main camera. Also there is a button for night sight. It is very reliable.

If you installed miui 12 and the photo quality is very bad, this port is a real lifesaver! Unrelated but is it just me or does miui 12.0.1 update destroy the camera quality?

It was working before I installed custom rom (64 bit) in my phone.
It just doesn't show any image after opening.
Please help me this gcam was the best one I had and I don't want to go back to miui to run this

And, both the version I installed not working (crashed out immediately).

i want to know as well.. anyone got a version working? i like it beacuse gcam is the only app that has computational RAW, the stock does NOT have this.
Would also like to test it, or compare it.

Hi Nokia 2.2 comunity, just a few questions. Which gsi rom are you guys using ? And which are the least buggy/unstable? Also are A9 GSI's a bit faster then A10/A11 GSI's ? or is that not the case ? Lastly where can i download the stock nokia A10 rom ? The firmware on the sites, don't indicate what android version they are. Thanks in advance

I was using Project Elixir GSI 3.6. It seems to be stable. I am just back on my Stock ROM because there is no GSI with a good camera. The camera is one of the most important things for me. Unfortunately I can't help you which Android Version those Files are.

Ok thanks, I'll note Elixir os. Did you try installing any gcam ? If this device supports camera2api or something, that could help camera quality a lot on custom/gsi roms for this device.

Gcam was completely buggy in Photo Mode for me and the Image Quality was bad. Videos were okay. I don't know which one I should use because there are so many versions.
