[MOD][APP][non-root][Android 12] Sony Xperia lockscreen clock mod to hide the lockscreen clock widget possible? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi,
On Sony's Xperia devices there is a dedicated app that provides the lockscreen clock/alarm widget (com.sonymobile.keyguard.clock). This clock has different layouts to select from but it cannot be hidden or disabled (just like the original Android clock can't).
I would like to hide/remove it so I can show my KLWP widgets on the lockscreen as well as on the homescreen.
I have tried removing the app and then the clock defaults back to the regular Android clock so that does not work.
Would it be possible to edit this package and add an additional (empy) clock layout or, a bit more dirty, just remove the graphical elements of one of the presets so it is still active but not visible in practice?
I tried extracting with APKTool and editing some files but my knowledge isnt good enough to do this so it would be great if someone could help with this.

I see the banner message saying "no noobs" so this topic might not be in the right place? Can someone move it? Sorry

Is there like a request part on the forum where you can request something like this? I would actually be happy to pay for an app that does this because it annoys me very much.

Clock + Date App @ News+ Weather Style out there?

Hi,
actually i have a Desire with the Cyanogen Rom @ Nexus Style so i think my question is @ the right forum.
I like the stock news + weather widget, but i can not find a clock which look similar.
What i like to have is the Lockscreen Clock + Date on the News&Weather widget background. Somebody saw something like this? I tried several clock apps and of course beautiful widgets, i did a skin for beatiful widgets with the same background but i can't ged rid of the weather there
Is it hard to do such an app? Anyone out there who want's the same and is probably capable of doing such an app?
See the attachments plz. Postet 1. the background, 2. the clock, 3. what it should look like (with the proper background of course ).
Get "Beautiful Widgets". It has what you are looking for

[Q] Fancy Widget & Beautiful Widgets

OK, where to start. I've been searching forums and the internet in general trying to find a way to mix and match Fancy widget & Beautiful Widgets to get the desired effect I'm looking for.
I've been trying endlessly to find a way to get Fancy widget to open up Beautiful Widgets Forecast when I touch the weather icon and there seems to be no easy way to do this (if it can be done at all).
Now, I must say I have tried Fancy Widget, Beautiful Widgets and Weather & Toggle Widget and so far I love the look of Fancy Widget, love the look of Beautiful Widgets Forecast and didn't like Weather & Toggle Widget at all.
I have noticed that the Forecast app/add-on does appear in my Recent apps when I long press Home; so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me figure out a way to get Fancy Widget to see it as an app when choosing an app to open when touching the weather icon.
Also, Beautiful Widgets by default brings up the Alarms section of the Clock app but I can only get Fancy Widget to bring up the Clock app instead of directly bringing up the Alarms section. If anyone knows a way to achieve this also, I'd greatly appreciate it.

[Q] Help making app (grouping widgets)

I've been playing around in the sdk for a while now and I'm not so good at programing or anything, but I did manage to make a few clock widgets that I would consider very nice looking (I'm somewhat decent at photoshop).
Now, I know how make an apk with the widget, and I'm pretty sure I know how to put multiple widgets in a single apk (although I haven't tried yet)
I have noticed that some apps that have more than one widget (like google voice, or twitter) will say "(2 widgets)" underneath the name and allow me to choose which one I want after click the name.
How would I implement this in my own app?
summary:
I want to create a pack of clocks (4 clocks). on the widget menu it'll be called "clock pack" (I haven't thought of the name yet) and when you click on that it'll give you a choice of which clock you want, each clock with a unique name and possible a unique icon; would it be possible to give each a unique icon?
thank you in advance
Did you ever get an answer to this? I have been attempting to include several clock faces with my clock widget also but can not come up with any workable solutions to allow the user to select the clock face.

[Q] Fancy Widget Pro - using 2 different weather skins

Hopefully, I'm posting in the right section. If not, please forgive me and move to the right one.
I have Fancy Widget Pro on my phone. The problem is, I want to use 2 widgets from FWPro: the first is a 1x4 clock & weather which I use on the main screen of my Droid Incredible. I have a custom clock skin I made for it and a weather skin i downloaded from the FW market. The second is where I run into a problem - I have 5 Day forecast 1x4 widget on my WidgetLocker Lockscreen. The thing is I DON'T want a background on that one and I also want to create a separate custom weather skin for that one.
In FW Pro, you can set the background to show or not and that setting is applied to every widget. Likewise, you pick one weather skin and that is applied to the weather in every widget.
I'm thinking the only way to actually have separate ones would be to decompile the .apk file for FW Pro and leave all the functionality the same but change any reference to Fancy Widget Pro to a new name (Fancy Widget Extended maybe) to in essence create a new 2nd App that could be installed on my phone. I not quite savvy enough to actually do that, but I'm wondering if I'm correct in that thinking or if someone else has a better idea.
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Collapsible Widgets and Widgets on Lockscreen? Jelly Bean 4.2?

New to Android. Loved having essentially what I call 'collapsible widgets' on my old iPhone 4 on the lockscreen (jailbreak.) Essentially when text messages, emails, calendar event reminders, or even SportCenter updates came in, they would show up in a widget on the lockscreen (ala Intelliscreen X app) and you could do an action (like delete/clear the notification), or you could collapse the widget so that there was just a header like 'SMS Messages (3)' with 3 being the number of unread and you could uncollapse it to see the messages. The widgets would just always stack up together. If they didn't all fit, you could scroll down to see them. If all the info in a particular widget that was open didn't fit in the widget's window, you could scroll down to see the rest of the info. All this was done on the lockscreen.
Granted, I didn't have any sensitive information to worry about people seeing. But you could choose, just like Android what shows up and what doesn't.
In running Jelly Bean 4.1 with Sense+ (4.5) on the HTC One X+, I found I had to install WidgetLock to get control of the widgets on the lockscreen. I'm using Pure Calander Widget Agenda and the widget stays the same size no matter if there are no events listed or 20 events. Sort of a waste of lockscreen space.
Is collapsible and/or scrolling widgets just something that is extremely rare for some reason? It looks like maybe the stock Sense 'Productivity' Lock Screen Theme sort of does this (from looking at it - but I've been using WidgetLock from the beginning). The problem with the HTC Sense is the configurability of the lockscreen isn't as flexible as I would like. I wish I could control which apps are in the dock on the lockscreen and how many there are (add app icons to lock screen) and how transparent the widget showing the info is. I hate the big clock too but want the productivity widget (the clock is always on the right in the notification bar - no need to waste space redisplaying it larger - my eyes are fine!)
Also, on Jelly Bean 4.2, I think I read you can add widgets to the lock screen. So does JB 4.2 essentially defeat the purpose of Widget Lock. I love that Widget Lock lets you go from a 4x4 grid to 5x6 (or whatever you want) so I can have 6 docked apps on the lockscreen and there isn't such big spaces between everything. I hope so as I can see the HTC Sense lockscreen sometimes come on for a moment before it gets replaced by Widget Lock. Makes me feel like I have a bit of a hokey setup to get what I want.
iOS had this same issue. But in 5 they greatly improved the lockscreen functionality. Then iOS finally introduced repeating notification settings. That's the next thing Android needs. But that's another subject. Still love JB 4.1. Does the job. Nothing's perfect.
Yes HTC does not allow you to change it's lockscreen. Much like on an iPhone, you would need to root and install custom apps (or apps like widgetlocker) to get the functionality you are looking for.
That said, this is the General forum for the HTC One XL. You would be looking for Q&A and also the OneX+ forums here

Please keep all question related threads in Q&A only. Thank you.
