Question any working V4A on S22 Ultra ? - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hey guys I've just rooted my S22U SD version , I tried sevral ways to get V4A working but failed , I think it will not work without an unsecured kernel right? or is there any way to get it work? thanks

No. Only if its specifically a bootloader unlockable SD version from Korea. Then you have to root, etc.

[Q] Will a brand new Z3 be still rootable ?

Hi,
im looking at buying a Z3 at the weekend but the main thing is will it be still rootable? Im not sure what firmware it will come with
Are all versions still able to achieve root?
If so could someone link me to the best root method, much appreciated
I've bought a Z3 3 weeks ago and it rooted just fine. You do need to flash an older firmware

5.0.2 isn't rootable, at least not directly.
As long as we have root method for at least one fw available for device we can root all new firmwares.
So...it's not a problem to root Z3, no matter which fw was on it.
All you need is to downgrade to 4.4.4 (version that could be rooted), root it, install recovery and then upgrade by flashing prerooted ROM.
Z3 will retain root possibility as long as its alive...
Of course, all of that applies for locked bootloader.
If you want to unlock bootloader, you could root device by flashing kernel via fastboot...

thanks for the help, phone is coming tomorrow so it will be the first thing i do.
Coming from a nexus 5 so should be quite an improvement, especially battery life.
Another Question
is app2sd built into the firmware? or do you need a third party app which requires root?
things i need installed on SD card:
all games / apps including titanium backup PRO
can it be done?
If you get a new T-mobile Z3, you will not be able to root or unlock the bootloader.

can i downgrade??

hi all,
i just got the s7 g930f, with every other samsung iv had (s3 and s5) iv allways rooted on the 1st day of owning and then installed omega rom found it to be usefull and reliable , the phone came with g930fxxu1bphj, after reading about others saying it worked and some saying it didnt i tryed to use cf auto root but it left me stuck on the boot screen and would not go any further, after flashing the original fw back onto it it loads and works again..... phew.... i have also got a few bits of software that i use that require root, the sixaxis driver for ps3 controller being one of them, its good using it for the ps emulators for oldskool gaming. my question is can i downgrade to an older version that is supported by cf autoroot at all. are am i f****d for now.
im in the uk and my provider is ee
Thanks for your time

Question about root s8+ 2aql1

Hi i have the s8+ unlocked version and i try the root by samfail tutorial but not work and the thread is closed so i dont know if anyone know how to root s8+ xaa g955u1 bootload 2AQL1 (unlocked version) please share thanks
Snapdragon rooting is pretty standard, however I believe there is a question on a new boot loader coming out, so I'm not sure if that changes things, as one new addition is it keeps the phone region locked.
I'm Exynos. Your phone is?
does anyone have the stock boot image for s8+ 955FD
tryin to change root frm su to Magisk
I have the snapdragon but using unlocked version so the bootloader maybe different, i can use the custom rom but cant root? The custom rom have alot of extra feature that i dont like

I think you do not 'have' to use a custom ROM for Snapdragon, if you do not wish to use one. I believe you can just use the "U" version, which is Cell phone company featureless.

S7 g930A Rooting/TWRP

Hi guys, I've been doing some searching but haven't found any clear answers on recent threads.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 G930A, currently running Android 8.0, I have developer options unlocked.
I'm looking to install TWRP, update BL/Modem, install Lineage OS 15.1, update GAPPs, and root with Magisk 17.2 with the hope of debloating preinstalled apps and increasing my battery life.
I'm having trouble finding the correct versions of things for the G930A, it seems like most options are for the F/FD, I found this awesome thread for those which I assume is incompatible with my device: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/guide-onelatest-stock-fw-csc-root-t3702963
Step one is installing TWRP (right?) but on their website under S7 has options for many models, but not the 930A. Is there another option that I'm missing or am I out of luck?
Thanks!
You're out of luck, TWRP and custom ROM's are only possible on models with the Exynos SOC which is the international 930F/FD model + Canada and Korea, as they can have their bootloaders unlocked.
G930A runs on Snapdragon with a locked bootloader (thanks to US carriers), despite the developer options unlock being visible, it actually doesn't do anything on Snapdragon.

Such a feat is not possible on the snapdragon version. Yes I know, their kind of scumbags for locking the qualcomm variants and only allowing the foreign versions with their crappy exynos chipset to be unlocked. It wasn't U.S Carriers that are responsible for the device being locked. Samsung locked it themselves.
Fortunately you can still root this device however, but you just cant install custom recoverys, boot logos etc,

have you found out anything

Could you please tell me how I can root my phone ? S7 g930T G930TUVSBCTA2 : android 8.0.0

I looked alot but nothing was helpful
Im having the same question, im having a S7 exynos without a working usb/charging port. Would it be possible to root the thing anyway?
My goal is to root it and custom rom it. There is supposedly an app that can flash recoveries but you have to have the phone rooted.
Flash rom/unlock bootloader using a preloaded sd card instead of via usb?
