Hi,
Phone: Unihertz Jelly 2
OS: Unihertz_Jelly2_EEA_20220108_20220225-1743
I've disabled all Google Apps on my new phone. I have not received any push messages. I enabled again Google Play Services, and reinstalled some apps but still cannot get Firebase notifications.
What should I enabled to get it working? I have F-Droid and Aurora Store because I disabled Google Play Store.
I don't want install other ROM than stock (yet). I don't want to make a factory reset. But I can add my google account to phone, but I would like to make as small as possible changes.
Why I did this: I am not also very good at making changes in phone, but I wanted to send as few as possible data to Google.

Hello,
on the S6 it's possible to disable the Facebook app, but there are two services still running and make updates outside the Google play store, so even if I have disabled auto updates, Facebook does it!
The services are called
.com.facebook.appmanager
.com.facebook.system
How can I stop these services from starting up without root?
Thanks for your help
You simply can't
Since these are system services and anything system related cant be deactivated without root.

use package disabler pro app from play store. Let's you disable these as well as Samsung bloatware.
I force stopped everything with Facebook in the name (4 things), unchecked notifications and cleared data. It didn't come up in my update list. But if it comes back I'll get the package disabled app.

Hi
I have a Xgody 4k, amlogic 912 3+32. (marshmallow) 6.0.1.
I installed a weather app which required a google service to be updated,
after that I was having trouble with google store not opening when trying to go back into the store.(first after reset I could enter). which lead to me to the problem of google play not loading.
I did a full wipe reset and can no longer add a google account ( can add facebook and mail accounts still show) or get into play store at all.
Does anyone know what apks and services are needed to get play store and google accounts working properly.
its gotten to the point I will have to redo the ROM, but mounting system has fails for some reason.
regards Paul
last bump.. just in case someone who can help missed it.
When I try to use the Google Voice app, it launches and gets stuck at the "Sign in to your Google Account" screen, with a brief message at the bottom that says "Failed retrieving accounts." It works fine on my Nexus 4 running Nougat (Lineage). Anyone able to use the Google Voice app on the Pixel 2?
I also notice some other weird account behavior, like in the maps app, in the side pane, I don't see my account name to sign in, but I do see it in a pop up if I click on "add account" (and can log in with maps--as well as Play and other apps).
Any thoughts what's up with Google Voice? Uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not help. Neither did restarting the phone several times.

[Edit: OMG, I answered my own question after futzing with this for more than an hour. It turned out that Google Play Services did not have permission to access contacts on my device and that caused the weirdness on Google Voice and Maps also.
So I went to: Apps & Notifications > All apps > Google Play services > Permissions and then flipped the switch to enable contacts.
I guess when the pop up says, "If you deny this permission, basic features of your device may no longer function as intended," they mean it. When I was disabling some of this stuff, I figured Google was just trying to scare me away from giving them more personal information (which Google probably considers a basic feature).
The funny thing is that on my Nexus 4 with Lineage, Google Play services has permission to access contacts, in the same place in the settings. But then in the Privacy Guard settings I set it to ignore requests to read or modify contacts from Google Play services and that apparently does not interfere with how it manages accounts. In fact, Privacy Guard says Google Play services has never tried to read or modify my contacts, even though it apparently needs permission to do so or won't work correctly. Weird.]
In my case it was not a permissions issue. My Google Play Services was very old and not updating itself. Loading the latest APK fixed the issue with Google Voice (via Apkmirror). I could not even update from the Play Store.
Hi All,
I have a Samsung J7 running 7.1.1 that won't allow me to remove the Google account. It has not been an issue until just today. It says certain apps rely on it and the only way to remove the account is to perform a factory reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Turns out that I just updated the Google Play service and it prevents removing the Google account. I just uninstalled the updates for this app and set the app back to the factory version.
I configure android devices for my work and obviously cannot issue devices with the same Google account tied to all the devices. Been issuing them just fine until the latest Play services update. FYI for anyone that is curious.
Hi all, I'm having a problem with the Play Store on my Verizon Galaxy S5 running Ressurection Remix 5.8.5 (official) and Open GApps nano. When I use the Play Store app on my phone I can install apps with no problem. However, the apps will not auto-update, even though I have auto-update enabled. I also cannot install apps through the Play Store's web interface. The device shows up with a "Last Used" date of "null" (screenshot), and when I click "Install" the app never actually installs to my phone, despite appearing in "My Library".
I'm not sure exactly when this started happening, but it might have been when I installed a modded microG to use iYTBP as explained in this thread. However, I have uninstalled microG and re-flashed Ressurection Remix since then.
So far I have done the following to try and resolve this problem:
Tested Google Cloud Messaging push notifications using com.firstrowria.pushnotificationtester (they work properly).
Disabled and re-enabled syncing for all the services on my Google account (App Data, Calendar, Contacts, Gmail, Google Fit data, People details).
Removed my Google account from Settings | Accounts, and re-added it.
Cleared data + cache for the following apps: Play Store, Google Play services, Google Services Framework, Google Account Manager, Google Backup Transport.
Tried running without a SIM card.
Performed a factory reset.
Wiped system, data, and cache/Dalvik partitions, and re-flashed the latest official Ressurection Remix.
Registered my Google Services Framework Android ID at https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/.
The only thing I haven't been able to test yet is a totally new SIM card. I'm kind of running out of ideas and starting to worry that somehow my device data may be corrupt on Google's servers. Can anyone offer advice for additional troubleshooting, or point out something I may be missing?
Thank you for your kind consideration!
Just a quick bump. I'd sure like to get this fixed!
