General [SCREENSHOTS] Screen On Time (Battery Life) Thread - Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (peux)/POCO X4 Pro 5G (veux)

How much battery life in real usage are you getting on the RN11P+/PX4P with SD695 & AMOLED display and how fast or slow does the 5000 mAh battery get depleted?

Hi,
I have a POCO X4 Pro 5G (veux) with MIUI 13 since March 24th and the battery usually lasts for up to 90h (~4 day) with my regular use.
On periods I use it more the duration goes down to ~72h.
I feel that it took few recharges to get that capacity but maybe it was because the first days I was playing more with it.
I'm really happy with it, I use to have a Redmi Note 7 with LineageOS and I'm happy with the change. The battery of the POCO feels to me that is a little better that the Redmi (when it as new).
Hope that LineageOS will be available at some point : )
I attach an screenshot of my last charge scoring almost 93h and a 10% of battery left.
Hope it helps : )

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Xiaomi Mi 5s before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
With LOS you can get 6-7 SOT, and I consider that very good.
On average I get 5 hour sot. I would give 3/5 for battery.
It's indeed about average for its class. But the quick-charging makes up a for a hell lot.
9 hours so far. Not bad I'd say. I'm using the official AICP ROM, battery set to efficiency, not rooted.

The fingerprint scanner is working fine on aicp bro?
With Miui 9? I can't do better than 3h 30m.
I tried beta, stable, RR. Situation is always the same.
With GSam when i call, sot is increase, but in Miui settings sot are less, why?
(sorry, if you don't understand, i try to write better)
MIUI 9.3 by xiaomi.eu 8.2.1 I get usually 6-7 hours SoT (mixed LTE and WiFi, auto brightness), I think it's pretty good

I am using the same rom. Unfortunately, I only get like 2-3 hours of SoT. Do you do a system reset every time you flash? Cause I've been upgrading the phone for a while now. Seems battery life gets worse and worse.

I did a clean flash 3 weeks ago, first flashed China Dev Fastboot, flashed TWRP, then xiaomi eu, wipe everthing without wiping system partition. After this, every update i clean dalvik and cache, that's all. Maybe you need to do similar procedure in your phone or your battery needs replacement, I reccomend Losoncoer's one, my mum is using their battery in Mi5.
Hello to everyone and i'm sorry for necroposting,
I have a problem with my MI 5s, i took with my rom (MIUI Global 8.4.19) and stock kernel only 2 hours of SoT, do you have some suggest for me for have better performance(no problem to change ROM or Kernel)? (when i bought this phone i had 6/7 hours of SoT) , i have already changed my battery with an original one 2 weeks ago.
Thanks.
Install AEX with the latest China beta firmware, Magisk and the app ForceDoze.
Thanks for reply, but I can't install china stable because in that rom there isn't my language (Italian), any other suggest? Those apps work with global too?

Thanks for suggest, i have istalled all of this, i hope that the battery will last like the first months!
Hi,
After one year of usage my Mi5s gets around 3 hours of SoT. Doesn't matter which ROM I am using (RR, Atomic, Viper, LoS, XiaomiEu) plus latest firmware. I think the battery may be depleted. If this is the case this is kind of sad.
Those of you that are getting more than 5h of SoT: How old is your phone?
Does anyone have any recommendation for a new battery from aliexpress?
Thanks

You can test your battery and find out your real battery capacity with AccuBattery. (Get the free version from Google Play.)
I have 89% capacity (~2850Mah) and I have my phone since September 2017.
On AEX 5.5 rom, I get about 4.5 hours of screen on time.
1 year and a few months later. Now Replaced the Battery.
1 year and a few months later. Now I just replaced the Battery. I replaced it with a new one because battery is depleted Accubattery estimation is 1,880mah from 3,100mah. I get 2hrs-3hrs 30min of Screen on Time with the old battery. I will update this reply once I get what my battery SoT is with the new one. I am using LineageOS nightly(latest).

So, how did it went?

MIUI 10 and SOT under 6h?

Somebody reach 6h SOT with MIUI 10?
Easily
Definitely possible. At 76% battery now and 1½ hour screen on time. That's with some Spotify streaming with screen off as well as being outside for a bit in the bright sun with maximum brightness mixed with inside usage.
Maybe u can use Treble ROM like pixel experience...that have better battery life.

Why the hell? People are getting 6-8 hours, easily.
I hardly get 5h. Maybe people use their phone without 4G or Wifi enabled ?
I never got more than 5h SOT on any Android phone ( I had a OnePlus 3, ZUK Z2 Pro, LG G5

Pixel 3a XL battery life

I knew battery life would be great, taking into account the mid-range CPU and small (by todays standards), low-res screen.
But on this youtube test, the 3a XL wiped the floor with these phones,
and had half an hour more endurance over the Zenfone 6, which has a monstrous 5000mah battery.
These are excellent results.
Edit: changed title to battery life, since I find no dedicated discussion.
The did not have the Moto G7 Power in that test. The battery life on the Moto G7 Power is incredible.

True. I've seen people reporting 12-14hrs sot. But the G7 power has a 26% bigger battery and an even lower mid-range processor.
I've got 7.5 hours of screen on time with auto brightness, Bluetooth, and wifi always on and still had about 30% remaining. 10 hours+ of SOT is totally possible.

I've got 7 hours sot, but with a ton of music streaming, Facebook, and phone calls. Sitting at 18%. Pretty sure I could get to 8. This is on Q beta.
What do you guys think of this drain test? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thBrVRTqXVQ&t=104
It is weird, makes no logical sense and contradicts many other comparisons..

I don't think he's a good reviewer. He also has a strong bias for a lot of the china phones like xiaomi, vivo, huawei etc.
For the purpose of this thread, I've been averaging over 7 hrs SOT with over 1.5 days usage easy. Mixed LTE and WIFI use.
i had 10 hours of the span of 3 days.I do a lot of battery test with my pixel and my poco and my other phones and even pixel is above poco on the battery sot.

I would say disable Wellbeing for sure turn on saving mode ,use grayish theme, and a dark wallpaper, and restrict ur apps to not work when they are closed.I have mine all closed except messenger cause i notice that dont get my messeges. Usually i have 3 days and more and around 10 hours sot but i was editing a lot of pictures on snapseed and lightroom, and that can drain battery by a decent amount.

I'm obviously late to the party, but from what I gather, the screen and SOC are power-efficient compared to high end phones. The radios (wifi, bluetooth, LTE, etc) are not, though. So in the Youtube video you posted (2-DAY Drain Test), the guy started off by using four hours of Youtube, which requires data. Whereas the video by Mrwhosetheboss only has things going on locally (on the phones) until the last tests.

That is very interesting insight!
Mine been running for around 48h for my normal day to day use with 15-20% left. For comparison my previous LG V30 with same usage that lasted one day, one night and was at 5% around 22:00-23:00 next day.
I'm pretty happy especially that no optimization or dark mode yet (running Pie)
Hope to see few % extra on android Q
Android Q beta 5 9 hours sot
Like the title says, I'm on Q beta 5, stock, no root or special apps like naptime, only disabled a few apps that allowed it like Google Play music.
Close to 9 hours SOT with 11% still in the tank.
This is awesome.

12 -13 hrs easily
Getting 9 to 10 hours with 2 day usage. Will certainly go above 10 hours if used continuously in a single day.
12-13 hrs average easily!!
With dark mode you can easily go 15-17 hrs
I don't know why my device having multiple issues such as call muting, Vodafone volte not working also getting only 6 hours of SOS with 15 to 18 hours of battery backup... Faulty device?
Sometimes I am getting message such as CPU usage is high please restart your device and not getting the speed over 4G at all...
I dont see any standby drain. When I keep data on (locaion, wifi and bluetooth off) in the night it drained only 2-3 % battery. with data off/location/wifi/bluetooth off it was 100% in the morning.
But I have a different issue, When I am using the phone, I see a drain now which was not there initially. Android system is draining most of the power. I usually used to get 9+ hrs SOT with 2 days usage. but now Both have dropped below to 1&1/2 day and around 8 hours SOT. Tried all the things found on net, but it dint helped.
Help?

Anyone think this phone can reach Lenovo P2 levels or maybe a bit under? I would really like it but more battery results would be what I am waiting for before I decide.

Screen is a downgrade yes.
I don't care about fast charge at all personally, since we don't have to charge that often with battery life like that.

One Plus 7 GM 1900 better battery life

I am coming from using a Huawei Mate 9 that was stuck on Android 8 in US on Tmobile. I wound up buy One Plus 7 (GM1900) on Amazon that runs well on Tmobile but I have been less then thrilled with the battery life. I had 3900 mamp after 2.5 years of heavy use was able to get to the end of the day with 20-30 percent with 12-14 hours of screen time with the battery saver.
I am using fewer apps with One Plus 7 on Oxygen OS 9.5.8 and with battery saver, I seem to get 5-6 hours of screen time.
I think one of the differences is I can't seem to change the screen resolution and for the location services to use 4G over the GPS.
Is there anything I can do to get better screen time that will come close to my mate 9?
If not, I am going to send this back for a note 9.
