Felt in love with LOS after it fixes my Pixel 4XL battery problems with stock android 12. I was wondering if there are any ways to port LineageOS to the flipper

Usually the first thing i do with a new phone is get rid of the original ROM and install Lineage, TWRP and root the device.
What i wonder is, what features or anti-features i will loose when i do this for future OP6?
I suggest you try it yourself before you install Lineage, cause for the first time ever I am sticking with stock. I used it for a few days and put Lineage as I always do.
But after a day I brought stock one back.Still missing few features from Lineage cause I was using it for last 11 years but I think I get more with stock one at least for this phone.
I will check one more time when Linage for OP6 goes official.
Actually the OP5 and now the OP6 are the only phones I've ever owned (going back to the Droid X days) that I haven't felt the need to drop a custom ROM on a phone. Love the stock OOS. Doesn't lose anything I needed in a custom ROM other than separating ring and notification volumes. Twrp, kennel and some Magisk modules along with a few times apps and the phone is amazing. Idle is about 2% overnight and get 9-11 or so hours average sot.
Like the guy above said, try the stock ROM first before abandoning it.
Do the LineageOS ROMs have anything at all to do with OOS or are they two completely different ROMs? Would the LineageOS ones offer a little more security and privacy in that they might not be sending data to OnePlus in ways that stock would?
does any body have this problem? it happened to me with pixel plus ui and crdroid now, the Bluetooth headphone is connected and the sound is coming out from both the phone speakers and the headphone and the only way to make it work again is restarting the phone.
it's really a weird problem that never happened to me in miui
Didnt have this problem on ndroid 12 ancient os, pixel experience and now on paranoid android

Try paranoid android 12. It is best comparing others at least for me. Performance and battery life. Pixel experience also staboe and nice but battery hungry because of full google apps
Hi, everyone.
I am running Lineage OS 17.1 on my phone (actually it is rogers version, GR5-kii-l005), most of functions are good, i like its simple, but it looks like the battery is using more than the original Huawei stock, and also the camera performance looks not good.
Did anyone try Arrow OS 9 on Honor 5X? how are battery performance and camera? is it simple? i do not like original stock rom, there are too many functions i am not using.
already install Arrow OS 9 for GR5, it looks same with Lineage os, i like it simple, and also the battery life looks better than lineage. when i installed lineage 17 on my phone, i play for a while, i can feel my phone hot, but it does happen to Arrow os, and also arrow os has offical download address and you can check sha, won't worry someone touch it, but the only one thing for arrow os is there is only android 9 for Huawei Honor 5X. hopefully they can push out 10, even 11.
This is my first time using a pixel experience rom infact it's also my first time using any Android 12 rom and it's also my first time using an AOSP based rom, so please bare with me if I look absolutely stupid (i already apologize for that)
Just flashed the unofficial pixel experience plus on my poco X4 pro
here are some stuff i like and don't like about the rom
I flashed it using adb sideload with lineage unoffical recovery for the device
Before anyone asks yes it also works for the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (Since when did naming phones become similiar to writing a dictionary?)
This build of pixel experience plus uses the perf kernel which is somewhat okay for performance
Rooting - Rooting a pixel experience rom or any GSI rom is harder than rooting Miui roms but i guess for you guys it's not that hard...
Performance - I'm sorry but for some reason I could not get Antutu Bench Mark to run on the device with pixel experience installed
Everytime I tried to install the Antutu benchmark 3d apk it would give me an apk parsing error I've tried rebooting several times but cannot find a solution yet
Miui Eu used to give me around 360k - 390k
Though I could not get Antutu Benchmark to run on the device i can definitely feel it being much smoother and by using an fps meter in high demanding games such as cod mobile i can see a difference in fps
For some reason no fps unlocker could unlock 120 fps for cod mobile on miui but somehow it works on the pixel experience plus
Also with pixel experience plus you can set CPU Freq and GPU Freq to max without it reverting back just like Miui (I do not recommend doing this as it is not good for the processor)
UI - This is obvious but Pixel Experience Plus is much much better, the animations are smooth the full screen gestures have no problems
Battery Backup - Yeah unfortunately it's worser than Miui but not by a crazy margin
Fast Charging - This is where pixel experience plus lags behind the fast charging isn't as fast as it was on Miui
Touch Issues - This is a very rare occurance but there are ghost touches occuring especially when the phone is left in idle state with screen on for some time
Sound Quality - Noticeably worser than Miui sadly...
Bloatware - very few like chrome (some people like chrome being installed though but i personally use brave browser) but you can easily remove it by the several methods u can find on the forum or through YouTube
Camera - it comes installed with Gcam Go and the photo quality is good but you should probably use Gcam itself
Proximity Sensor - Broken, phone screen stays on during calls
Bluetooth calling: Broken, causes phone to crash
Data/Wifi Connectivity - I can feel my wifi being a little bit slower on this device compared to my other but it could just be a me thing
SafetyNet - Passes by default
Overall - Great if you don't like heavy customisations, raw performance, a little bit slower charging (which is actually good for your battery) and material you theming
What do I miss from Miui?
Game Turbo - Although Pixel Experience Plus has a game mode inbuilt it's no way as good as Miui Game Turbo
Floating Windows - I guess there is no beating Miui when it comes to Floating Windows...
Would appreciate if anyone knows any kind of fixes to my problems mentioned above...
hmm interesting.....got the sauce for that?
i might try it on my spare time..

You forgot to mention:
- proximity sensor not working (phone screen stays on during calls)
- Bluetooth calls not working (causing the phone to crash)

Oh yeah was unable to test those but I'm gonna add them thanks
How is the camera resolution in gcam /pixel expirience ? In miui I never get more then 12mp, never the 108mp like with the original cam
I'm using Pixel Experience 13, and the camera takes 12.0MP 3000x4000 resolution.
Is the proximity sensor still broken even now in 2023?
@BR4UTAL do you plan any further releases, as the official ROM has still no updates yet? I think many of us users of this phone are desperate for a stable release plan. Maybe you can connect to the official maintainer and share your work via the PE offical channels.
For now great work so far....
Been a while since I've been in here. I'm no stranger to flashing ROMS but I haven't done it in years thinking that staying closer to sock on a Pixel phone was the best way to avoid bugs....nope.
When I bought the Pixel 4a it was brilliant. 2 full days of battery life and butter smooth. Hands down the most dialed in device I've ever owned (and I've owned a LOT).
Fast forward to today with the onslaught of Android 12 and this device is total buggy trash. Issues with the lock screen just showing up blank, bluetooth connection woes, ultra sluggish with certain activities....etc. Honestly, too much to list.
I assumed this was something with my build so I did a factory reset AND reflashed with the most recent stock image from the google repo and the exact same issues exist. Still wasn't completely convinced it wasn't isolated to me. Then last night my wife's Pixel 4a updated to Android 12 and now she has similar issues.
Am I alone in this? Do I need to get back to flashing ROMs and if so, which would y'all recommend? I just need something fast, smooth, and stable. Not looking for a ton of extra features I won't use.
That's why I stuck with A10 - no problems.
welcome to android 12, im still using A11 i have A12 on my other pixel and its terrible, google has a tenancy to break things after updates, i would roll back and skip this version.
I haven't had any os issues other than maybe it running hot. My battery is down to like 32% original capacity or some such.
use lineageos. problems solved.
