Creating this topic to discuss about ColorOS 12 updates & general info.
Currently available versions:
- C.33 firmware for Global version
- C.36 firmware for CN version
The latest version is:
- A.15 'ColorOS 12.1 - "It mainly optimizes camera effects."

there is any way to flash the global rom on Chinese version?
most likely not possible as the bootloader on this and other Oppo phones is locked
As of a few days ago, latest version on global model of X5 Pro (model no. CPH2305) is A.17
A18 is out for x5 pro with some improvements in camera dept and April patch. (France)
A.18 is out in the UK as well
I have CPH2305 model, and I didn't received the update... I'm from Romania.
Did you have to use VPN to update? I still don't have it.
The update arrived to my phone today in Romania.

Can confirm, downloading now in The Netherlands via a french VPN.
A19 arrived today to Romania.
I received A19 on a UK handset whilst visiting Greece last week. No VPN needed
the updates are long in arrival, I had a lot more at xiaomi

I bought this smartphone bit really i was not eble to insert italiano/european firmware.
This morning i went bed at 5.... i am rally sad because it is rally nice, but i can bit read chinese language...
I have vip card too and i do not know if i can use it or not.
I have the european rom, but when i try to upgrade the tel says failed, meanwhile the originali upgrade was taken and installed form net..
What can i do?

Can you tell me if 4g connection works on both sim slots ? i mean i can choose which sim is for 4g ? i know one sim works 4g and one sim 2g in same time.

No. German. Got today a OTA notice for B121SP02_B122SP06. OTA Update failed like expected. Only SD card update will work. Maybe I try tomorrow...

I tried with sd... and i got failed
OTA = over the air. But doesn't work. So I downloaded the TL10 version. Unpacked and copied to the SD card. Finally worked.

Any news about when Honor 6 C900B521 (Western Europe) can expect Marshamallow? One guy claims he installed official Marshmallow C432B820 version (from hihonor UK) on C900B521 device and apparently it works like a charm without any problem.
I'm not very good with tech so I have no idea if it's even possible. And I don't want to try because I'm scared to brick my device.
I'm not sure when an over-the-air update will be offered, but you might want to check hihonor.com to see whether your country has a downloadable Marshmallow update there. B521 was the one I updated from as well (I updated to North Africa image).

My country is Lithuania so we don't get updates just for this state. If I understood correct, you also updated your device with a version intended for another region and it works without any problem? I know B521 will probably get an official 6.0 update sooner or later but I just got tired of waiting

Is you're stock at an "old" version and the "normal" way of updating via OTA dosn't work try this:
Go to system update setting,
Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select download latest full package.
That should give you the latest Nougat updates.
For Oreo: Try to use HiSuite
Not all countries receive updates at the same time. Even not all phones in the same country.
If you have automatic update enable you'll receive a notification.
Hope so your model belong to the UK (Not sure). If it is UK model, you will get the update within the first batch of release.
If you belong to any other region it takes time. But you will get it for sure.
Depends on the sponsors in your region, your carrier...

No, my model don't "belong" to the UK. I live in Denmark and bought the phone in Denmark.
Don't know if you mean UK model as in European model.
I bought the phone off-contract (it's not branded it anything), so it's not depending on any carrier.
Well I as have understood it, there is no UK version, only a European version (for Europe).
I have the same model and got the b120 update a few days after it was reported here (i guess most here have the US model). The b150 seems to take longer though

EU, US and Chinese versions. (32 and 64 gb)
Anyone knows or can confirm which models have what versions of Android, as the latest available as we speak?
Seems like the EU (FRD-L09/AL19) version is running Android 6.0 - B120 (unbranded - not carrier depending)

All of those have Marshmallow out of the box.

All are running in 6.0 update. However some region would have got 6.0.1 update. Some regions would have not got it.
Always there will be one incremental update difference (maximum) between the regions. As all regions wont get the update in the same time.
Ok, let me put it this way: Has anyone with the FRD-L09 model received the B150/6.0.1 update yet?
B141 is out of the box. B150 is slowly being distributed still.
I don't think Asian and EU/US release codes are the same.
India 32GB = FRD-L02 firmware so there's more than 3 regional firmware types
The latest firmware for L09C432 is B131 and that is the EU region, L09C636 is Asia, L09C185 is Africa/Middle East, US is L04, India is L02.
Is not just the modell like L09 that says where your phone is from, is the Cust, like C432, C636, C185, then there is Branded phones like C02 is Vodafone, C55 is TIM Italy and so on....
So for your version if u are from Denmark u should have C432 the latest is B131.
Then we have China modells like AL10 and DL00, C10....

Yes, I have the C432 model. However my current build is: FRD-L09C432B120, and there is no update, if I check with the "Updater". The phone was shipped with version FRD-L09C432B120, so so far I haven't installed any updates...

The firmware B131 is not officielly out on OTA yet. If u want to install it now u will have to download it and install manually.

It might be a Beta version. Wait for the bugs to get fixed and get a stable update as OTA
If you need now, you can update manually.

I didn't register for beta version and got this stable build automatically
Update log pictures are attached
Moreover I updated my new build .247 with October security patch yesterday
Let me check this new build and review will be shared later

I really doubt that changing hicare app region will make a difference it is only a app where changing country you can see local service centers, local help phone number to call and so on.
'Update' channel is tied to the phone model number and model number is tied to the region -
* China(gets the fastest updates)
* India(2nd fastest)
* Then EU and US

I don't think so
I personally experience that I got the update always when I changed my country from Hicare and settings
I checked multiple times with Germany,India etc but didn't get the update
Whenever I switched to China , I got the update
It can be because my phone model is Chinese variant but my update is pending due to change in country and when I switched back so gets the pending update
Update your Hicare App top newest Version. Change your Region to India. You get Android 10.
My Honor View 20 is from Germany

Changed to India, updated hicare app to v10, restarted the phone but no matter how many times i press check for updates, no updates is found. On China region the same.

Also try to change country from the settings (Region )
May be it will work for you otherwise you have to wait

I have disabled HiCare app. Now I enable it, update in Google play. In HiCare set region to Asia, Country India, check for update and now I download 10.0.0.171

It's working. Switched to India and right after I received 10

It shows me there but when i go to update it isn't giving me an update am still on 2.1 Android 9. How can i get the update in updater?

Hello. I just got my device from aliexpress, but I noticed that despite it said it was global version, the MIUI firmware is Russian. I live in south America, and my question is, if the global version firmware is better than the Russian one in any way. I've heard that the Russian version usually gets less updates. Honestly I'd rather don't flash my device, but also I don't want to have a ROM that maybe gets less updates or has worst optimization. Hope you guys can help me. Thanks!
Global ROM is probably better. I would feel skeptical of the russian rom ngl.
Don't think it makes a difference. I have from Goldway Aliexpress Redmi Note 10 Pro with Global ROM but RKFRUXM Russion firmware too and ok. Using 12.0.6 but 12.5.2 was just released and it rolled up in changelog all the items listed in 12.5.4 Global firmware so while version number is lower it actually has all the fixes AFAIK
