Hello,
I received a phone a few months ago for free from a woman I used to babysit her dogs for. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it has the original SIM card in it, but under the about phone, it says Network Unavailable and No SIM card inserted. The lady does not remember where she got the phone from, and I don't know what to do to find out what provider it is locked to or if it even is locked. I live in Texas, and the phone came from Oklahoma. The lady used Pioneer Cellular then right before giving the phone to me, switched to US Cellular. She had the exact same type of phone from both companies. Both was contract as well. Anyone please help me. I want to use it for Straight Talk, cause where I live is a country road and the service is sucky.
If you can root the phone you might be able to unlock it, making the carrier useless. Or you could try to Google the IMEI and see if that yields any results.

Anyone having any issues with Samsung Pay? I bought my Note 20 in the UK direct from Samsung's website, but just get "Samsung Pay will be available in your area soon" type messages. It worked fine on my Note 9.
One thing I have noticed is that the Service Provider SW Ver is showing EUX/EUX,EUX/EUX.

I found a solution. Just in case this happens to anyone else.
When I originally set up the device I did it with no SIM card installed as I didn't realise that the Note 20 uses a generic CSC until you install your SIM. When I did install my SIM tray I put 2 SIMS in and carried on, not knowing that the firmware hadn't updated.
So what I did was pop out the SIM tray, remove the 2nd SIM and reinserted with just my main one. The settings then pulled down and the CSC updated to BTU/BTU,BTU/EUX/BTU and now Samsung Pay works.
Yep did that before learnt the hard way on a previous Samsung as it wouldn't change the csc no matter how hard I tried so had to get a refund off Samsung

I have the same problem with Samsung Pay and Samsung Members but in Sweden with phone from carrier...
I try reset, tricks from above with SIM cards.. and still nothing...
Wait you just inserted your main sim and phone just changed firmware? Having similar problem here. I bought note 20 ultra where samsung pay isn't supported, I didn't care at that time because it wasn't supported in my country either.
But know samsung pay is supported in my country. And I really want it, cause Google pay isn't supported and I have no alternatives.
Hello guys,
Yesterday i bought a Verizona Note 20 Ultra supposedly unlocked, i put my sim from another carrier and it worked, when i got home i saw the following note in the screen: "Your device cannot be activated on another carrier at the moment, contact verizon support". My question is, Can i flash a unlocked firmware in order to use another carrier sim?
P.D. I have tried with T Mobile, Cricket and Telcel sims and non of them works.
Thanks you guys!!
You'll have to get in touch with Verizon so they can rectify it. If that doesn't work you can try an online sim unlock service to see if they can do anything about it.
I have a hard time to get T-mobille and Samsung to carrier unlock my N986U phone. Phone is paid ,but I bought it from Samsung not from t-mobile. One is pushing it to other and so on. I like the phone and would like to unlock/root it to resolve the issue. Question is, if I root/unlock it, will it be possible to continue use my eSim with T-mobile and use my physical sim card with different provider?
You'll have to ask to speak to a t-mobile supervisor if the frontline employees can't help you. As long as the phone is paid off and it's been on 45 days of continuous service with them then you should be good to go. If you're on twitter send them a message on their official @t-force handle since most people seem to have success that way as well. Once unlocked you can use both sims anyway you want.
With regards to root, I'm not sure U/ U1 devices from the U.S can be rooted if they're on bootloader version 2 so you might be out of luck there.
Is there any another way to SIM unlock s22 ultra (SM-908U T-Mobile) other than with helping of operator?

If the device was used/activated with TMobile, is fully paid and you have a receipt or invoice twitter/facebook tmobile support will unlock with no other questions asked. I have unlocked 5 devices in the last few years. Unlocked S22 and S22 Ultra last month by chatting on facebook messenger.
Not totally relaed: If the phone is unlocked, do any US carriers support eSIM + Std SIM config to help me use one phone for two lines?

Yes, only if it is unlocked model. For carrier models after you have unlocked the phone, esim is a pain with other carriers. Verizon system doesn't provisione sim correctly for a tmobile branded S22 Ultra. The Verizon reps have to add the device to their system for their system to provision esim. I tried with many reps for close to a month and gave up.
I had similar issue with Note 20 Ultra and Verizon were able to provision after I escalated many times in January this year but no luck with S22 Ultra. It may be a Samsung thing where they are not sharing the device details of all models with all carriers to add to their systems for esim activation.
