Is it possible to export/transfer/extract WFS files from the Galaxy 4 watch to Watch Face Studio on my computer? I have a pre-installed watch face made by Samsung which I like, but there is one part of it I want to change (the UV indicator to stress level). I'm wondering if I can find where the WFS files are stored on the watch, and transfer them to my PC, then edit it on Watch Face Studio. If anyone can help, please let me know, thanks.
The watch faces on the watch are not in WSF format. They are apk files.

Thanks, so can I extract them and edit them somehow?
Most likely no since when they are created the author will password protect them.

I did this with my gear 1 . Uploaded a video to it via USB . is there a way to do the same thing with the gear 2/neo ? I want to be able to upload a movie or show for a bus ride or long car ride . I dont see a video player app or a way to transfer anything but mp3s.
I don't like it!
This goes back to the Tizen SDK/apps thing.
We would need to get a Video player install package, and need to install it to the Gear 2 via USB and a computer. Unfortunately I don't know of any place to get a Tizen video player.
You can do this. I ran a few videos through Handbrake and transfered to the watch via USB. They then show up in the gallery and you can play them.
Not sure I'd want to watch any full length feature on this when I usually have a bigger screened phone with me, but it's been useful for putting instructional videos I've grabbed from Youtube and then playing from my wrist while I'm fixing something.

Never mind .I figured it out. Next time I wont try and do this in the middle of the night .
for ref : /opt/usr/media and in there is folders for video , music , and more.
You will need to make sure your mp4 is formatted correctly . ( In my case the standard android phone preset in my trans coder ) Once uploaded it will not always show up in gallery . You many need to restart the gear for it to refresh the contents. But it seems to play fine Volume and seek options on the screen .
I'm brand new to the Gear/Tizen scene. Is there a video player app that allows you to play local video files stored on the Gear S2?
Cant say I've seen one - if you do find one, do let us know
I've had video play when video search the through text. But no video app launcher
I believe Filesmaster does but have not tried it yet.

Definitely you must download Filesmaster. It plays video, music, show pictures and open some text files. Great stuff to play media and manage files and folders.
I use Filesmaster to transfer movies from phone to S2 and watch then in train on way to office. It even plays subtitles too, only SRT format so far.
Wrote to author to add TXT subs too.

Thank you! This was the one thing that still had me on the edge of whether or not to buy. (I'm genuinely surprised that this doesn't seem to be as big a deal for anyone else; could find no other discussion on it). Just placed my Gear S2 3G order now.

You are welcome
One can find a few good apps for S2 but still miserable with apps on Samsung Apps store.
However, it is begin, S2 is sold for 2 months yet, so should be better with apps soon. Probably in few months will be
thousands of apps for s2. Cheers!

Hello,
Tried to put some movies on the SD card to view them on the Gear VR but Oculus can't find these. Only when i put them on the internal storage.
Anyone got this working?
Same here, I've tried avi, mkv and mp4, still it does not work.
Don't know if this will work, but try using them through the Milk VR app?
Did you move the videos to Oculus folder?
having the same issue, same path folders on SD and and internal storage - and on SD oculus does not see any movies
Blues is correct. You have to create a folder named either oculus360 or milk. Then drop your files in the folder.

thanks for opinion.
As I can guess this is based on experience in S6.
It does not work with S7 (I mean regarding folder)
For milk - not yet familiar what is it, but will check, thank you for hint.
I have the same issue.
I think the reason is that the software shipped with the gear vr for S7 users is the same software as on the S6 version (as it's the same headset), not the software on the Note 4 edition. And as the S6 has no sd card, the software is not set up for it. Had it been the Note software, it'd be set up for it. So the tips people are posting about the Oculus folder do work, but only for the Note edition.
I believe this is a know issue and will be fixed with a software update soon.
It's unrelated to topic but can someone put pic of VR device they get free with S7?

Which one do you get: SM-R322, SM-R321 or SM-R320?

are there any known differences?
The SM-R322 is shipped with the S7. But the problem is with the software, not the device. I think the auto download downloads the S6 Oculus software, not the Note software. Hence no Sd support.

I don't know actually but SM-R321 is known as Gear VR2 and released later.

Hello ,
Thanks for contacting Oculus Support!
At this time the functionality for playing videos off of an SD card has not been implemented for S7 devices.
Our teams are hard at work to add this feature in a future update.
For now, I recommend storing videos intended for playback in Gear VR on your phone's internal storage.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let me know.
Thank you!

Oculus Files
Can someone help? From you tube clips I see that on my "Device Storage", under Oculus there should be different files like movies etc... but on my phone there is no files, just some odd items like defaultDistortion.bin, can someone advise how can I find my Oculus games and apps? I use it with my Samsung galaxy S7 edge and Samsung gear VR. Thank you
View your Samsumg Gear VR videos on SD card
Simple solution: Samsung S7 Edge
on SD card in Root make a folder called Oculus then sub folder movies then folder My Videos
Oculus/movies/My Videos (copy your videos to here)
Oculus Cinema go to My Videos - poof! see and play the videos . works!!
Also to view 3D or 360videos
Oculus/movies/3d
Oculus/movies/360videos
they will render correctly
Enjoy Ceb
HI GUYS,
im looking for a watch face with these things, heart rate, digital, steps , short cuts any ideas? im new to smartwatches
Hi - I use these sites - you can use WatchMaker (Play app store) or download the .gwd files and use Gear Watch Designer to import them to your watch - personally I find WatchMaker easier

I made one called "Simply Flat" and it's available free on Samsung apps.
I have some more featuring these options, but they are paid and have 3D rendered animations.
Hi,
Is there a way to share a watch face I've edited, with someone else - other than connecting the watch via SDB ?
As in like make it an APK, and install on the device sort of ?
