I used to be able to send a text by starting it on Bixby and it sent through Google Messages on my phone. However, it doesn't seem to work anymore. It DOES work when I am using Samsung Messages.
The Customer Service Chat on Samsung.com suggested that clear my phone cache. It didn't fix it. Next step is to factory reset my watch. I eventually tried that, but it STILL does not work.
From the picture, it looks like Bixby is defaulting to Samsung Messages based on the icon.
I can't seem to find a setting for having it default to Google Messages.
Is there a fix for this?
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I select my gmail account and then select next and I get the following screeen and after I select Allow I get the FC screen. I do have a google voice account and I also have full root access. Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?

i also have the same issue as you. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. no dice.
I solved this problem. Today I updated to the newest Hydra Kernal and that fixed it. I am using the overclocked one.
There is an option in the GV setup to be able to play messages from the dialer. I enabled it but still can't see any. Called and left myself a few messages to test. Is this a bug or have I got to do something else?
Like this?
Edit: My bad I had missed the part about you already enabling it. Sorry

That's the setting. But doesn't seem to work (i.e. dialer looks the same). No option for messages that I can see.
I'm under the impression that once you receive a VM you are able to play it from the dialer. I just left myself a VM and it seems to be working for me...once i select the contact I have a missed call from I can listen to the message.
Hi, I updated to 10, and now I keep getting this notification telling me there's an error and Google Pay needs SMS permission. The problem is, when I go to the permissions screen, there is no option for SMS permission.
A similar issue is happening with my launcher, where it needs storage permission, but the option is not there.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone have a fix? I feel like I'm crazy because I can't find anything about it anywhere.
Same here...

Hi,
I might be late, but it could help someone else:
- look for advanced permission (3 dots menu)
- grant SMS access to Google Play Services
Hi, every time I watch a video on YouTube, listen to WhatsApp voice messages or my mobile phone plays any other sound, when any notification arrives, it happens that for 1 second it goes into do not disturb mode, I put the link of the video of what happens.
Anyone know what it is?
Clear system cache.
WhatsApp shouldn't be on any device, my opinion.
Try looking/testing here...

It's possible a 3rd party app (or malware) has altered hidden user settings. If so and you can't find and correct it, a factory reset may be needed.
My wife has the S22 Plus and I have the S22 Ultra. Both are on Android 13 with OneUI 5.0. We are also both on T Mobile, using Google Messages and both have the chat features turned on.
Whenever she sends an image, this is the icon I get. Not only does pressing it do anything, I can't get it to disappear. It does stop circling after awhile, but I just can't get the picture she'll send, nor can I get the aicon to vanish.
I've tried force stopping, clearing the cache in download mode, but nothing works.
Would anyone have a solution for me? I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

First off, ocntact T-Mobile. I have that issue once in a while.. If they have now answer do a data reset of that app, or do a factory reset, that seem to fix amost everything.
