Install APK on "Non Eligible Device" ? - General Questions and Answers

I have a rooted SMT350 Galaxy Tab A. I really want to install TFT on it. However, its flagged by the playstore as a non-eligible device. I was wondering if there is some way to circumvent this, and force the game to install. This tablet can play hearthstone which is about as graphically as intense, its its annoying to me. The device is not flagged because of the root, it was like that before, i rooted in hopes to get around this. Thank you.

The game only installable and working on devices running Android 7 and higher.

[Q] LG GT540- minecraft pocket edition

Hello all
I have been having problems with my lg gt540. Recently minecraft pocket edition was released on android market, I really wanted it but much to my dismay it wasnt on my market (it was on a friend phone HTC desire HD running android 2.3.2). So i decided to put cm7 on my phone to get it to 2.3.2 (it was already 2.1). I did that, installed the market fine everything was good. However i went onto the market and it wasnt there still, went onto the web version signed in and it said incompatible firmware (yet i was on 2.3.2). I downloaded an .apk version of the internet tried to install it only to get "application not installed". so i then installed alogcat to see what was going wrong:
"E/packagemanager(1274): package com.mojang.minecraftpe requires unavailable feature android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch: failing!"
Will some one please help me to get a way round this.
Thanks
nbII
Read what it says: android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch. Your device doesn't support this, so it Android won't allow it to be installed.

Is superuser v2.25 compatible on lollipop?

So I can successfully install superuser v2.40, but it's not working with one of my apps (puzzle and dragons). I have been told me to downgrade to 2.25, but I have been having issues.
The problem is no matter what, when I flash 2.25 it gets stuck in a bootloop. Flashing it on stock, and even flashing it over 2.40, and flashing it over 2.40 when clicking the replace button in the superuser app. What am I doing wrong? Is 2.25 not compatible with my phone?
Hi First of all, if you have any compatibility issues with apps try upgrading them rather than downgrading. In this case SuperSU v2.46 would be the current version. Anyways, I just googled a bit and that's not the problem at all.
The developers of the game implemented a function which doesn't let the app start on a rooted device. It will check if you have Superuser-rights and automatically close the game at the splash screen if so.
So actually what you need is something that "hides" your root. There are several methods. I heard about Xposed modules like RootCloak for example. I even read on the xda News page that it's Lollipop compatible

Thanks for the reply. On the game's forums, I have been told that masking does not work (if you look at xposed rootcloak it says it's not compatible). And some users have been able to get the game to work with certain versions. I am on the latest binaries and it still doesn't work. The only way to get it to work is to unsinstall SuperSU and reflash it every time I want to play.
On some forums I've read that SuperSU has got a function to "hide" or "temporarily disable" it... Take a look at the app. Hopefully this feature hasn't been removed and maybe that's enough for you to get the game working. It's not a perfect solution but at least you don't have to uninstall / reflash every time. Let me know if it worked

installing lollipop apps on jellybean?

Hi,
Theres some apps I want to try on my SMP, but I am receiving parsing error when trying to install. I think this is because their minimum requirement is lollipop but ib have jb. Is there a way to force them to install?
I'm aware the apps still might not work once installed, but I want to be able to give them a go.
Thanks
I'm not sure there is a way to force an app that has an os requirements. Remember some newest apps need certain hardware in new phones in oder to run so maybe your phone does not support the features the apps need.

Thanks, yeah if I managed to install it and it didn't run due to hardware requirements then I'd just have to deal with it. It's just frustrating to not be able to try I guess.
Update: I downloaded betterbatterystats and that says *backup* is keeping my phone awake. Heaps of hits on that on google so hopefully I'll be able to sort it out

You can't install an application that requires an API lever major then the API level of your phone. But you can try to install a custom rom for your device that upgrades it to Lollipop :good:

4.4+ apps on 4.2?

Hey so I've been trying to get pokemon go on my android device. I have a 4.2.1 Blu Life One. In order to run pokemon go I need 4.4, or at least my phone to say it is 4.4. I mostly just want to see whether or not my phone is capable of running it, or how well it can run it.
I've tried changing the build prop to say I was a galaxy 4, which runs 4.4, and I've tried doing it on the market helper. Neither seem to change what type of phone google play thinks I have. Any suggestions or help? I'm willing to provide any information that is valuable to helping me out here.

The most sure fire way of doing is by upgrading your android ,if there's no official update there's bound to be some custom ROM for your phone with android4.4 or higher.
As for changing build.prop the things you need to change are
Ro.build.version.release and api level but changing this could cause problem with already installed apps so pls backup before trying anything.(don't blame me if things don't work out well)

Believes it is Rooted

In preparation for Mario Run, and knowing that Nintendo doesn't work well with Rooted devices I decided it was time to upgrade my ROM while dropping root.
I had been running cm-13.0-20160129-MARSH1.9.7, with a normally flashed SuperSU. Doing a quick look at the options I went with an upgrade to the most recent SlimOS, Slim-bacon-7.1.1.build.0.14-BETA-20170303-0805.
For some reason, apps such as Flipp have been earning me about the safety risks of running rooted; and even though the SuperSU app tells me I'm not rooted once I installed it, I'm getting a close on startup trying to run Mario Run. Do I have to revert to stock to fully get rid of root?
