Hey guys, I've searched these forums for 3 days now following instructions from multiple threads with no joy.
I was playing a game with phone on charge, the game crashed and phone restarted into a boot loop... Great!
Dowloaded stock firmware from samfirm (sm-g955f BTU) as I'm from UK and phone is unlocked odin pass on flash, restarted phone and no change...
Can't boot safe mode or recovery, the blue screen appears for recovery mode but the arrows on android guy stop spinning.
Any help greatly appreciated!
It might be worth noting I'm am using odin3 v3.14.1 too, I have tried both HOME_CSC and CSC.
Just keep going round in circles, I've also tried VOD and O2U with the same result.
Make that 2 of us! Cant get my S8+ SM-G955F XFV (South Africa) fixed! & getting files is a nightmare

Hey all,
I got my S7 (930F) today. I went through the 1st time setup and evrythin went smooth until my phone decided to reboot and got stuck in some kind of reboot loop.
As i searched google i read that i was no uncommon problem with samsung devices so i tried some of the things suggested (factory reset/cache whipe) .. nothing worked.
It just tried to boot, loaded my carrier homescreen for a second and went back to the Samsung Galaxy S7 powered by android screen and would do tht over and over.
So i tried to do a firmware update via Kies , looked like it worked but still ... wouldnt boot after.
Maybe the best way would have been to return it to my carrier and get a replace but since i am little bit techy i decided to search some more.
So i ended up flashin
2016-04-18 Austria (3 Hutchison) 6.0.1 G930FXXU1APD1 G930FDRE1APC3
this firmware (found on sammobile) via ODIN 3.10.7 and everything worked but still no boot , still stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S7 screen.
Did i total brick my phone? What else can i do?
Running out of ideas, any help would be great!
I had my phone just sitting on a wireless charger this morning and had been there for about 15-30 minutes. I noticed it was rebooting, odd I thought? I took it off and then realized it was going into a boot loop. I gave it a soft reset and then it would turn on and stay on for about 10 seconds before boot looping again. I again gave it a soft reset after a couple loops and now it seems to totally dead, as the title implies.
No button combination has worked and I've held them all down for well over 30 seconds each. I've tried plugging it into my PC and haven't gotten any response that way. The blue LED is on so I know it's not dead...I think? To make matters worse, I bought this phone off Craigslist about 5 months ago and it's the Exynos version so I definitely can't get any kind of warranty on it. I'm hoping someone has had this problem and can help or just has some advice. Thanks everyone.
EDIT: To keep this updated, I have been able to get into Odin Mode and have tried to flash stock firmware. Odin says everything went fine but the phone hangs up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. I'm unable to boot into recovery mode and I've even tried to reinstall TWRP with Odin and that has not worked.
Seen the LED only problem before, waiting for the battery to drain and the phone to turn off seems to be the only known cure atm
Once it does, connect the charger for 15 mins, then boot directly into recovery and clear caches to try fix the bootloop, possible it may need factory resetting / clean flash of stock ROM
Using the MicroUSB > USB white adapter, you may be able to connect a power hungry USB peripheral to the phone to drain the battery faster, I use a USB desktop fan, but some people report it not working when it is stuck in this LED loop and have just had to wait it out
Thanks for that advice, I'll let it drain over night. However, I have been able to get it to boot into Odin Mode and Odin v.3 recognized it. I flashed the stock firmware but upon rebooting nothing happened and now it gets stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I can still get it back into Odin mode, which I believe will be the fastest way to kill the battery, but I find it odd that I can get into that but not recovery? I am rooted and have TWRP installed, if that matters at all.
If you can get into Download (ODIN) mode, then letting the battery drain probably won't help, that only seems to help when the phone is completely stuck with nothing but the LED working
Make sure you flash CSC (Not HOME_CSC) along with the other 3 sections of the ROM, using ODIN 3.12.3, that should factory reset the phone after the flash
If you successfully flashed stock with ODIN already, you are no longer rooted and do not have TWRP installed, flashing stock with ODIN replaces all that with stock
I updated Odin and once again tried to flash the 4 parts, making sure I used the right CSC file, but I'm still getting hung up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. Do you have a suggestion as to which region's firmware I should use? I have been trying the Australia one from SamMobile's site.
EDIT: And to clarify, I have the G930FD(the duos one).

Any region would work, and the F firmware works for the FD too
Hello All,
My friend has a Verizon S6 that is not booting up. Stays frozen or in a boot loop on Samsung logo.
No idea what Android version it had.
I downloaded the latest firmware md5 file for it from SamFirm and tried to flash it with Odin. It was a single file so I used the AP button as usual.
It starts flashing but when it comes to System.img Odin fails. I tried many times with many Odin Versions and re-downloaded the firmware file and tried many usb cables and 2 different PCs but no go.
As I'm writing this, I tried it again and it completed the flash successfully but the phone booted up in a blue Android screen and it said installing system update, then erasing and it froze right there. I go into recovery and reset to factory settings and wipe cache. And the purple LED is on all the time.
So now it's stuck in a boot loop on the Verizon logo red screen.
I believe something is messed up in the partitions or memory, I'm not sure. Anyway I can revive this phone for him?
He's not interested in rooting but if it's a must, no problem; anything to get the phone started.
The phone is sim unlocked cos he was using it on sim cards outside the US, so he would like to keep doing that as he no longer lives in the US.
Thank you kindly in advance.
Hi, so my Samsung S6 Edge (Sc-04G Japan) had a bootloop, i tried fixing it through odin. It already said it passed, yet it still got stuck again. I also tried the factory reset after, still nothing happens. It still got stuck on phone model, then android logo and then the system recovery, nothing happens. What did i do wŕong? Im positive i got the firmware right
I've rooted my phone a couple days ago, successfully.
I decided to install TWRP on it today, and after Odin succeeded, I'm now stuck in a bootloop with only the first Samsug logo.
Whatever I do, fresh restart, safe mode, download mode, etc, it always shows the first logo and powers off right after.
any help? I really need it!
Samsung A22 5G
Model: SM-A226B
Region: VDF
Android 11 + One UI 3.1
Rooted with Magisk 24.3
Edit: FIXED!
Add: the phone randomly boots on its own, doing the exact same thing
It does not show the power off charging screen either.
I've noticed, whenever the phone is connected to Win10, Windows will very regularly (2 seconds) note that it's connected, with 1 second later disconnecting
FIX: I managed to get the phone into download mode, as I noticed the usb connected for a little time. from here, I tried to boot stock firmware on it, but kept failing at super.img.
as I kept trying, I found out that only the Official AP kept hanging and failing at super.img, but my magisk patched version... that worked! I also uploaded CSC, so I now have a blank new rooted phone

I got into download mode (considering bootloader is unlocked) and put new Android files on my phone (Odin3 program, AP file)
