Hi Guys
I have just installed an MTCD unit (Xtrons pf75aa3ar). In general, I love it, although it has a few faults (pretty slow, slow bootup, FM tuner not as sensitive as OEM).
However, one of the main reasons I bought it was for navigation. Google maps works well, but I cannot get it to display any info on my car's instrument panel (through the CanBus adapter).
Can anyone recommend nav software which will do this? Or, preferably, can Google Maps be set to work with this somehow (I like Google Maps)?
Does anyone have any info about development for the CanBus adapter? I am a developer myself, and would love to be able to implement some new features.
Thanks in advance,
Mouse

Xtrons stated it was possible. See http://forum.xtrons.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=142767.
Their response to my email asking them which nav apps would work was:
You can try normal GPS program which is for Android in-dash radio.

I stand corrected - it works on some Volkswagen models. Beyond that, I've been told that it does not function.
AA Navigation issue on Samsung J7
I am connecting to Android Auto on a Samsung J7. Apps all work but when switching to navigation the GPS registers and my location is shown but when a route is input google maps does a search and comes back saying it cannot locate google.
I have no issues on my S6 but the J7 has this navigation issue. Any ideas??? My car is a 2016 Honda Civic.
I run malaysk rom 4.4.4 and have a USB dvr camera installed.
I cannot find a app which works fine and what i want.
It should do the following:
- start on bootup radio
- option to go to automaticly to background and start recording automaticly
- option to choose storage location
Tried a lot of apps only one does this but the app constanlty crashes when i open the settings menu (autoboy BlackBox).
When i run the app on my table (lolipop) it works fine, but on my rk3388 mtcb radio (with latest malaysk rom) it crashes when opening setting menu to configure it.
Anyone have an idea which app can do this
I too would like recommendations for my MX (Witson) unit as currently the stock DVR records to the internal 16gb despite having a 4gb in GPS slot and 32gb in 2nd slot. The app has no option to select storage. Very annoying as finishes all the space up and slows unit down.
Thanks
I run Dailyroads Voyager.

You may have to use the PCV Startup Builder to put an entry in to start it up automatically on boot.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pcv.installrecovery.builder&hl=en
I have it starting automatically, in the background, set storage to the GPS card, and it works fine with every USB cam I have ever tried it with.
I use AutoBoy https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.happyconz.blackbox&hl=en its the only on I've found that lets you flip the camera 180 for when you have it mounted on the windscreen. It starts on boot, monitors the front camera and location via GPS, it also has youtube upload.

Aaaahhh tried on phone like i do before trying on head unit like i always do and can't save to either SD card on the MTCD! Gives me option on phone Galaxy S7. Frustrated as seemed like the best one
Which camera do you use exactly? I hope I will soon receive the new MTCD unit for Peugeot 508 (WITSON) and I am also thinking of purchasing the DVR camera but can't decide what type shall I buy. There is not much information about the available cameras on internet, not many videos on youtube etc., almost no posts here on the forum.
Does someone have the Joying HD SONY IMX322... camera? They say in the description it will only work with JOYING head unit. Is it true? Does it require any special app that is available only in their ROM? According to the pictures it has SD card slot so I think it stores the files on this card, not in the head unit??? So it should start recording after connecting to any USB charger like any other camera?
Or is any other USB or so called webcam better? There are plenty of them like Genius and so on...
Thanks for comments.
Could you help me to identify my software, please?
Hello, everybody,
I bought my Peugeot 508 SW with installed DVR and I can't find out, what software is installed, there? I would like to update maps into my iGO at least. But I can't find any input for SD card. Probably, it is hidden somewhere into its body... But, I am not sure, because of I can't identify it, so far.
Could you help me to identify my software, please?
It is HMI: MX010.1.1, MCU Version "MX801.151211(54)", "MMP.2015.9.16.14.2", whatever does it mean?
Thank you very much.

Could you identify your software? Or the brand? I have the same problem
Hi
I am using a PX5 system and have an OBD2 elm227 (tried 2 different brands, 1x icarly and a white label product) and a iphone 7 paired.
The iphone BT works, i can call etc and in my BT settings menu all the devices are listed as paired etc..
Problem:
When i start Torque Pro and i want to choose the BT adaptor there is nothing shown...
According to Torque there is NO BT adaptor paired at all which i can choose from.
I use the latest offcial (paid) PRO version of Torque!
I rebooted the device already but this had no effect.
Is there a fix for this?
I am using malaysk rom on my PX5 device, so it is rooted and has xposed installed.
Who can help/advise
[update]
It worked after a reboot but it seems BT does not work after ACC off/on, only on a reboot or cold start.
Hi there, i also use OBD2 with torque and works like a charm!
Try to delete all the BT paired connections first and after that, pair first the OBD2 adapter and test it!
Regards.
1. Press reset button
2. Unpair
3. Start the phone app and pair from there
Go to torque app and select the obd
it seems when my system goes standby (acc off) the BT connection is lost after power on.
All paired devices are simply not working anymore...
Sometimes they aren's even visable anymore in BT menu after ACC off/on, on a cold start or system reboot they work again.
Is there a way that when the system goes to sleep (acc) these apps keep running in background or are restarted when ACC is turned on again (not cold start/boot).
Also other apps are killed and not started anymore on resume.
Also i cannot find any option too change the ACC time, in an other rom i could set this time for example to 10 seconds and if then returned on it would cold start.
On PX5 Malaysk rom i cannot find any menu for changing ACC sleep/shutdown time

Search the thread for the no-kill mtcmanager.apk
This will keep all apps on resume
To be able to see they menu for shut down delay you have to be on an mcu higher than 2.48 I think.
I'm having a similar problem. Iphone via bluetooth and torque worked perfect until yesterday.
Now, Iphone is not on the paired devices, nor I can pair with it again. And torque sees the obd adapter, but can´t talk to ecu and I dont see the obd under bluetooth devices .
What shoud I do?

unfortunately I have the same issue - BT works till next power on of the radio...then only after reboot but I can not connect the paired devices...
I think, it wasn't so in original ROM...
I am using malaysk rom on my PX5 device too.
Ok I was able to get Bluetooth back full time by reinstalling maylaysk rom. Does anyone have a copy of the original torque that came with the factory rom? I have the paid version but I'm having issues with it
Same here hoping for original version of torque that came with px3 device.

The torque app that came with the unit and torque pro did the same thing for me as soon as I went from MCU 2.75 to 2.8 for my HA MTCD unit.
See this thread for the torque app you need... It's at the bottom of post 1.

I just posted in Dasaita and Hal9k_ threads regarding my BT OBD.
1. Connecting but not recognized by apps
2. Not connecting to MCU anymore.
Both have been resolved with...
1. Update to latest MCU (my HA is 2.83).
2. Install/update rom to latest Dasaita or Hal9k_ rom.
3. Do a Factory Reset
4. Connect to BT OBD
5. EVERYTHING WORKS FLAWLESSLY NOW FOR ME.

For all those wondering about the connection problems - I have spent the last week trying everything - then randomly saw a video on connecting one of these devices. Stock setting for the bluetooth is password 0000 - it showed changing the password under bluetooth settings to 1234 which is the stock setting for all OBD2 devices. I went into settings - deleted all bluetooth devices - changed the password to 1234 - searched - found the OBD2 sensor (BLUEDRIVER) and it instantly connected and showed in paired devices. Fired up BlueDriver App and BAM! shes working without a hitch - fired up Torque Pro Lite and bam - connected without a hitch - for others with ELM you need to download the App for ELM because it only works with certain devices. After all the work I did trying to get it to work it was really just one little issue with the handshake *being the password* since you cant enter the password from the Bluetooth device like you would from your phone. Setting them both to the same solved the issue.

After quoting a a large post with meaningless correlations, I found postive shockra!
I recently purchased a car that has a PX3 head unit (no idea which "brand") running Android 7.1.1. It froze up, and I had to pull the fuse in order to get it to restart. Now that it's restarted, my Bluetooth, Phone & A2DP apps are missing from the home screen and the list of available apps.
Oddly, my phone is still connecting to CAR-KIT and even making phone calls works, but no information about the phone call displays since the Phone app isn't present. A2DP streaming audio isn't working at all.
Is there a way to restore these apps, or do they need to be re-installed in some fashion? Thanks!
Same issue for me, no phone, Bluetooth or cd player app...

Check your Canbus settings to verify that the settings for the apps are enabled.
Hi!
Thanks, I checked the settings and found everything was checked in the boxes... So I just changed the logo and then rebooted the device. After this magic... All the apps that where missing reaperd and the DVD button started to work! Thank you, funny bug...
Hi there
So i downloaded from here MCU MX v3.71 as i have v3.60_1 at the moment.
Formatted a 4GB USB stick as FAT32, default allocation list and copied dmcu.img on the root of the USB
Then, inserted the stick into HU USB port, clicked on MCU update, it was found, system restarted.
next ? surprise: Android green guy dead, and "no command" on the screen.
I shut down the car for 5 mins to let the unit go to sleep and when i put the ignition on, the unit started fine, but still having old MCU
next, i plugged the USB stick into my computer and surprise: "this disc needs to be formatted".
Somehow, android unit didn't update the MCU but damaged the USB stick filesystem.
Did anyone have the same issue ? I am afraid now to use a different USB and repeat the process because my reset button is inside the screen and i need to dismantle half the dashboard to reach that button.
I have an AOTSR PX6 RK3399 unit with Android 10 and HCT2 kernel (firmware), MCU is MX v3.60
Thanks

What issue do you think will be resolved by updating the MCU? The MCU isn't Android.
my Waze app keeps crashing... i know that this issue might be from the firmware but i have a 2 unit pieces for Opel Astra J, it has a original fitting HU with DVD player which connects with 2 lots of pin cables to the display, and no reset button or hole. So is not a 1 unit Android, is 2 pieces. All main cables come from the big HU which sits instead of the original HU
I am really afraid to put another Android 10 firmware as i don't know how to enter recovery if something goes wrong

You've confused MCU with Android. At that point, I agree, leave it as is.

I only wanted to update the MCU because it is the last version, but this does not manage applications, it's the ROM that does that, as marchnz said.
You may need to ask from your seller support a newer version of the ROM you are running. I did the same but the language barrier is huge, i did not solve anything OR install a custom rom such as Malaysk ROM. I read somewhere here that Waze app needs to be downloaded from Aptoide and has to be a specific version for it to work but i cannot recall which thread was it.
