Question Lower the overall volume - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hi. I am on linageos 18.1 with root
Is it generally possible to reduce the lowest volume of the loudspeakers even further?
Maybe with a tool or. is it possible to change the lowest setpoint in the rom?

Boosting headphone volume?

Hey guys, I just flashed my first custom rom on s6, and I was wondering how could I increase headphone sound level? On my old phone all I had to do was change some values in default_gain.conf (or smth like that, havent done it in a while). Maybe there are just some flashable mods, that would increase sound and maybe quality? Thanks in advance.
Edit /system/etc/mixer_paths.xml, look for "gain-media-headset" and adjust the gains for both left and right. I recommend a value of 130 from the 113 default, it's plenty loud.

Volume mods, both quieter and louder.

Has anybody heard of a mod that would both lower the minimum volume while allowing a sufficiently high max volume. Either having the steps between have a greater effect, or having more steps? I can use Viper to lower the minimum volume sufficiently, but then the max volume is not enough. I've tried the mixer_paths.xml mods, but that just increased the volume all around.
Running Xstrestrolite 2.3, with ViperV4A on a Canadian W8
Thanks

There is nothing like this, since you are asking for a mod which will dynamically adjust the gain. Current solution is only a fixed value on the volume gain - e.g. if you use higher gain, you'll get louder volume all around, if you use a lower one, you'll get the opposite.
viper4android works on mine

Lowest media volume still way too loud. Is it possible to lower the minimum volume?

When I listen to music in a quiet room, even on the lowest volume it's way too loud (using earphones). I know there are tweaks to boost the volume above the hardware default, but is it possible to do the opposite?
What I've tried:
- Increasing the number of steps on the volume slider but the lowest volume is still the same.
- "Fine Volume App" - didn't work either
Any ideas?
I'm running Resurrection Remix on 6.0.1.
Thanks!

Read the thread on manually boosting the volume, it states exactly what changed, just lower those settings and test, rebooting each time

Thanks for the response.
Doesn't this only change the maximum possible volume though, not the lowest possible volume?

I'm pretty sure it's like a multiplier... if you change it from 90 to 84 the total volume will lower over the entire range, at least that is what I thought.

Gradual increase of volume for ringtone

Hi folks !
I am a new OnePlus Nord user.
I like it but I am missing some useful features , for me really necessary.
I can't find a way to set gradual increase of volume for ringtone and for my morning wake-up.
When using standard ringtones the volume is too high when I am in office but too low when I am at work in noisy environments.
With previous Android smartphones I was used to set a starting low volume followed by a smooth increasing volume rate.
It there a way to set gradual ringtone ? I am rooted with Magisk on latest Oxygen OS 11.AC01BA (EU).
An other question: can I enable a stereo sound effect using earpiece ?
Thanks for your kind reply.

Hi,
1) unfortunately there seems to be no option for this
2) when I pair my BT ear pieces, they produce stereo sound, at least I perceive this to be the case. Can you be more specific on this one?
Cheers

Question Possible to increase volume steps?

The notification slider definitely needs fine volume control. By default it only has 7 steps (8 if you include zero) so notifications can still be quite loud and not discreet at all even on step 1.
Apparently with root this is something that can be adjusted?
How can I increase the number of volume levels?
Is it possible to increase the number of steps in the volume control? I'd like a finer grained control over the volume level. I have a Galaxy Nexus. Note: I don't want to boost the volume just cha...

There are a few too many options there to transport them all into a post.
You may also want to search in Magisk, since you need that to override the build.prop in Android 11 anyway.
