Question USB Network via cable - FYT Android Head Units

I have a question. After an upgrade of my head unit with a PX6 I have no WIFI or Bluetooth. The question is, is it possible to connect the headunit via USB-Ethernet adapter direct via UTP-cable to my router in-house. I can realize a test setup for the unit in my office, but am not sure if this will work? An experience with this setup?

If you have a PX6 you are in the wrong forum.
If you have FYT now after your PX6, then the answer is: No, this will not work. The USB stack is blocked to only allow the "FYT approved" USB devices and a USB ethernet dongle is not one of those devices.

I'm using an FYT/Atoto device with USB-to-ethernet dongle. It won't work while you're using USB debugging however.
If you're in developer options, once you select the second option, it'll disconnect your dongle.

Android app reading data from rs232 - canbus

Hi!
We're going to start the development of an exciting project, and I've got some doubts which I want to ask them out here.
We've got a canbus info grabber hardware (intendia ureader) which monitors buses. That device has a rs232 port to connect other stuff.

The intention is to have an android application "listening" to that rs232 port for information provided by the canbus. To accomplish that, we'd connect the phone using an USB OTG cable + usb 2 rs232 converter to the ureader. Would this arch work? There's a github project which provides mechanism to make use of rs232 ports.
That'd be the production environment. To make tests and further development, we modify a little bit that architecture that way. As we won't have a bus in our offices (it'd be funny :laugh, we need to simulate with a computer the transmission of data from intendia ureader. So we would connect the rs232 port (intended for connection to the ureader) to another rs232 to usb converter connected to the computer. Within the computer, we'd send data using hyperterminal or similar software.

Would this architecture work?
Thanks for your help!!
should this thread me moved to another subforum?

USB connectivity - 'detect USB device' option missing

Hi.
Did anyone else notice that the 'detect USB device' option is missing inside the USB connectivity settings on the Sony Xperia XZ premium?
Does this mean that USB devices are detected automatically when plugging them into the USB-C port of the phone?

XZP No usb detection?
Doesn't seem to auto detect. I would like to hook up my external dac to my new XZP but that's not an option! Anyone know of another way to get it to detect an external USB device? Not sure how usb-c works, if it doesn't have the same capabilities as micro USB, if the software needs to catch up with the new tech or if just won't ever work?
Thanks
Maybe it auto-detects when one is present? but it seems you have to get the USB C Type so the old one i had for my Z3+ will not work forgot about that. Ohh well time for Amazon Shopping!
Yeah my DAC won't work and I dont have the 'detect usb' option in my xz premium.... SONY haven't replied to an email... WTF I upgraded my phone to go backwards?

I have a USB-C adapter and when I connect a USB or a Mouse (the two things I use sometimes) It detects automatically without any problem

Not recognizing Bluetooth device

Hello guys, I ran into a little "trouble". Bought one of those chinese bluetooth footwell led lights, and they have an app, happy lighting, it works well on my phone because my phone and my tablet too are able to find and connect to the bluetooth channel of the lights, but my HU's bluetooth cannot find them, neither through the app nor with the original in built bluetooth scanning interface of the headunit. It would be really nice being able to connect them with my unit via bt and use the app to set the light color and intensity directly from my HU and not having to take my phone out everytime I want to do something with the lights. Notice that I have a 4gb px5 mtcd unit with MD725 bluetooth and Hal9k mod installed. Thank you.
Hi, Did you ever find a solution as I have the same problem?
Thanks
Baz

Hal9k and Dasait PX6-Max6 with RF210 bluetooth module.
It's correctly selected in the factory setting bluetooth module setup (I tryed all model options).
I can pairing OBDII and LG Phone but I can't recognize the bluetooth lights, it's not founded in the available devices.
If there is no solution I will buy an external USB bluetooth.

YES.
Android does the switching for you. If you connect to Wi-Fi, Ethernet disables. If you are already connected to Wi-Fi and you plug your Ethernet cable into the device, you need only to disable Wi-Fi (which you know how to) and Android switches automatically to Ethernet.
BTW: Most Android devices will need a USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter, while older Android devices require a micro USB-to-Ethernet adapter.

Nethunter bluetooth interface not found

not sure how to fix the issue, help would be appreciated.
To use a bluetooth interface on Nethunter, you need a bluetooth adapter. Here is a link to buy one:
https://www.ebay.es/itm/33448183173...cGicnpzIFDuqZ+lWD0Qlp916pmk=|tkp:BFBM0Lun07Rg
You will also need a USB to Type C converter cable:
