Hello, there are some info on the net on how to root a moto e6 using twrp but they end up in a dead end because there is is no twrp for the moto e6 (which is crazy when you think that there is one for nearly all the moto phones).
I need to install magisk on my phone so that I can use the magisk hide on the moto e6. I read that one can use orangefox and I read some pretty convoluted way to root it on this forum and it seems to be quite difficult.
Is there a simple way to root this device? Thanks so much!

On a scale of 1 - 5, how easy is it to root this device. I have rooted a SGT3 and it was very simple. I have read that rooting the Nexus 5 is also as easy as the SGT3.
For those that have the device and have rooted, have you found any daunting issues or problems with the device.
Again, this is the Moto G 4LTE, not the other Moto G.
Much appreciated.

Based on the description given there I would say it's an easy root process. Maybe 4/5 on your scale
You don't flash the recovery since you boot only the provided TeamWin image, no modifications of the system unless the SuperSU.zip push, no need of a specific modified rom image to take advantage of a vulnerability such as other devices because the bootloader can be unlocked via motorola site directly...
Don't hesitate to report your succesfull root in the above topic
And if you have anything to add, plz do it in the Moto G LTE FAQ
Good Luck
Narkoa, thanks for the links. Don't know HOW I missed that LTE FAQ. LOL. Wow, must be really getting old.
Trust some friends have updated to Android 5 for XT1033, and here is a coming question, how to root it?
Updated: Already rooted, thanks, buddies.
Hate most softwares read my contacts and messages, have to root and have LBE Security to keep them out of my privacy. Hope root solution comes out early.
Install CWM -> Flash latest SuperSU, this should work

This always works when custom recoveries are available. Don´t uderstand the OP´s question...
Use CF-Autoroot for moto g, its the best way to root L atm.
Use CF Auto Root. Tested on my XT1032 worked fine. Note though it may erase files on your phone.
Code:

Yeah, your are right, just as easy as rooting KK, Thanks, man!
Will cf auto root going to work on locked bootloader also???........ Can anybody share chainfire thread of rooting moto g Lolipop version,,,,,,, on its official website I can only see moto g cf supports upto 4.4.3 for XT1033.....
I have a moto g with the 5.0.2 update and I want to be able to root it without using a computer.(lots of bad reviews about malware and viruses) Have been reading through different ways on how to do it but none of them are making sense to me on how to use them or if they will work.
You can't root Moto G without a computer. You need to have a computer to root your phone

Hello people, I am VERY new to rooting, so I stopped here to see if my device had an unofficial TWRP version but instead I saw a bunch of issues regarding the phone, should I wait to root my Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)? also, why is the 2022 model not a separate device tree on these forums?
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader without ANY issues for this phone currently?
Am I able to use TWRP, or some other recovery system? if so, what would be the best one?
What concerns are there with custom kernels on this model?
Does Magisk work on this phone?
If I am able to unlock my bootloader without concerns, and set up and use Magisk, what are the steps I should follow for this particular device?
Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't advise trying anything your not prepared for. If you want root then patch your boot.img for the 2022 and flash it. I do not believe there is any twrp or custom ROM just yet because it is so new. Also do some research about Magisk v25.1. it is the newest and most stable imo. Make sure if you do root with Magisk 25+ that you DO NOT disable vbmetas. Just an fyi
