Hi guys first time posting,
So before I start I’m sure this type of topic as been asked millions of times and I’m not posting this blind, I have put in some research into it albeit with my limited knowledge. I’m 90% certain this is a lost cause but here’s to hoping this community can help.
My mother has given me my uncles old phone after he passed away with the task of retrieving old family photos. It’s PIN locked and despite trying lots of possible combinations I’ve had no luck.
There is no custom roms installed and I doubt debugging is turned on, when plugged into a laptop it’s not recognised by the system (I believe the mode needs switching, but requires PIN to access that)
The phone in question is: Motorola G9 Plus
The phone does have a SDcard slot.
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this not require factory reset? I’ve watched a couple of the videos and read a few articles, they all seem to start from a fresh install.
I’m currently locked at the PIN screen and don’t know how I would get to that stage without factory resetting

Hey,
First off, I am not sure if I am looking in the right place, but I have searched forums, google etc, and I have not found anything that is able to help me with this.
I am currently working on JTAGing a HTC Touch ELF - I don't know the devices history, and I am beginning to fear that it is beyond my help. I have started a thread in the HTC Touch Elf section (link in my signature) that I have been using to learn JTAG, and also, inspired someone to fix there dead phone
However, there's sailed through, and mine is being a bit reluctant to want to work.
I have the below issues, and wondered if any of you nice people may be able to help, or point me back on course.
"Okay, So today I have tried some more.
It has now picked my device up as:

The processor ID still doesn't match what I expected, however, I am getting closer to it at least!
However, I still get an error message in NoIce:
I have tried doing a hard/soft reset as you would on the phone, however, I am not getting any Joy. This is making me wonder even more if it is because of this phone is so dead.
I haven't yet opened the second device I have for JTAG, this is going to be my next step. I also have another JTAG wriggler I can use now, so I am going to give that a go too."
Please, if someone can help, feel free to PM, write back here, or on the thread in my signature, I really am stuck here.
Thanks in advance,
Stu
Anyone have any Ideas?
Hello world!
Over a month ago I bought (online auction) a specific model of the Lumia 1020, specific because the 64GB edition (German).

I flashed it with his original rom, because after a reset to the factory settings, a few applications were missing, e.g. "Lumia Camera". Now I've got everything that was missing. I was able to unlock the bootlader without any problems (I think so)
I was able to get into Mass Storage mode (Windows showed me the system files of the phone).
But when I try to root that phone in Mass Storage mode, then I see this message:
I also tried option: "Enable Root Access on ROM images" unfortunately, in the end, after all the steps that have been taken, the same message pops up. I really want to have root access to my phone, what should I do in this situation, try to flash phone with "prerooted" 32GB ROM from other phone or something like that?
I already have some files on it, because I've taken a lot of photos and videos, but it wouldn't be a problem for me to make a backup, but it would be nice if I could get root access without this option to combine with other ROM's. I think, the option is that the WPinternals has a problem with rooting this model, because that model has originally unsupported "EFIESP" to run enable root script. I'm a beginner in Windows Phone, because my adventure with him has just begun. I'm counting on your help. I also apologize for potential grammatical errors, but this is not my native language, so sometimes I would like to use some untranslatable phrases and it looks funny in a further context. Greetings.
P.S. I'm uploading a photo before I unlock the bootloader.
Still nothing new
After many attempts, still nothing new.
So, I've been looking all over the internet for 2 years (approx.) from time to time for this query.
My device: I have a Motorola X(4) device which came with near stock Android.
My question: how can I see who is connected to my hotspot.
What have I tried so far: I see apps in playstore for scanning Wi-Fi and not what I want (which is to see devices connected to hotspot). I've search for web with no helpful answer, everyone seems to confuse about Wi-Fi scanner. I don't want a Wi-Fi scanner
In few answers I see people showing steps to do this, but I don't see the last option 'View Who is Connected' in my device. I have attached screenshots for reference.

Hi there,
Although motorola is close to stock Android, they have the annoying manner of removing very little, yet useful features like that. You're supposed to have a menu to see what device are connected, like me (I'm using OxygenOS, and even with their "overlay" they left the feature).
Unfortunately I don't know how to help you on this one. When I had a motorola (Moto E 2015 LTE) it didn't have the "enable wireless display" option for screen casting m. I've search a long time, and finally found out about that annoying manner motorola has. The solution was to modify one or two line in the build.prop file.
Hope you'll find out one day
Hi This is my first post here. I have done some searching and reading but I still have a problem.
I bought this phone off ebay with a broken screen as a project. I managed to replace the screen and got it working (first time doing this for me) but the phone has a pin and google lock that I didn't consider.
The seller isn't replying to my question of what is the pin.
I checked the IMEI numbers on IMEI24.com and it's not showing as stolen. I have attempted common pins with no luck.
I have done a factory reset to wipe the data. I have tried to flash the phone from the SD card but it's not working (see photo)

E: footer is wrong
E: Signature verification failed
E: error: 21
I've tried 2 different firmwares but same error each time.
The phone shows up in windows as attached to the PC but won't show any files and doesn't show up for 4uKey for Android. I've attempted to use adb but it won't connect to the phone either using CMD in admin mode.
I'm not a coder and I'm not that good with command prompt software.
Have I got any chance with this or do I just give it up as a bad job?
It seems a shame to junk a now working phone. But I know now not to buy a broken screened phone again!
27 views and no replies.
I'm going to give it up as a bad job and break it for parts. The battery is good at least and there's a chance that I can salvage the screen as well as being good practice for repairs.
If the board is locked is it any good to anyone?
My dad passed this summer,
he had a galaxy S4 which probably holds many photos I'd like to recover. I tried many passwords to unlock the phone but now it says that if I try two more times it'll erase the phone. The phone seems to require the password before booting. I saw the logo and now a black screen asking for the pass.
There is a good chance I can find the password if I can try multiple ones. Is there a way to:
Remove the attempt number limit?
Copy the encrypted storage on my computer and use some tool to try passwords and decrypt it?
I'm not a 100% sure the S4 has encryption, maybe I can lift the password if it doesn't?
A best case scenario for me would be to have a way to test passwords using command line, I'm a programmer and could make a small script to test combinations of passwords and numbers I know he used.
Any help or insights appreciated.

I join in this question. I, on the other hand, need to review my husband's phone because I think he is cheating on me.

lol, good one
I figure my post sounds suspicious, but I do fall into the category of people who want to circuvent security features with good intent. And with the full approval of my old man.
