Tracfone Galaxy A51 Root Possibility? - Samsung Galaxy A51 Questions & Answers

Hey y'all. I have model number SM-S515DL via StraightTalk (Tracfone). I own the device. I do not have an OEM Boot option in developer options, and was wondering if this device is rootable at all.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe you can unlock your bootloader with zu the vol + and vol - Button pressed at startup, otherwise flash another Firmware from another country with Odin and then you should have the oem setting on your phone. Thats why i think it is possible, but be aware you can brick your phone. It's very unlikely but it can happen. (I've heard a while ago, that there is a bug that causes oem setting to disapper but everyone can fix the bug very easy)

Can't unlock bootloader

Hi there,
I think i bought a fake Samsung Galaxy S6. But it works well, and it looks identical and has most of the futures of the real Galaxy s6.
As a fake Samsung phone, it doesn't have any Odin Download mode in it. So i tried to get into the bootloader via adb "adb reboot bootloader".
When i get there, i try to unlock the bootloader "fastboot oem unlock".
On the screen of the Phone i get a message about the fact im trying to unlock the bootloader etc. Press volume up to Unlock, Press Volume down to cancel.
The problem is, I can't press Volume Up for some reason, only Volume down. So i can't unlock the Bootloader to install custom recovery via ADB and finally install custom ROM.
Anyone any help? I can only access Stock recovery menu, some chinese test menu and the bootloader. Thats it.
Any help would be appreciated, i can provide any info you will possibly need.
grtz, Alex

Nexus 5 : Android 6 MOB30B: Unlock Bootloader without power button

Hi,
I have a Nexus 5, running stock Marshmallow MOB30B. Recently the power button stopped working,
The oem was initially unlocked, hence I tried re-flashing the phone to check if its a software issue, but not.
I locked the oem back once I re-flashed.
But now I'm not able to unlock the oem, as it requires a working Power Button to be pressed to confirm.
when i fire the below command from bootloader,
"fastboot oem unlock"
It asks a question in the device to confirm the action, there i am required to press the Power button to confirm (which I cannot do since the Power button is broken).
I tried almost all possible apps to root the device without unlocking oem, none of them works.
Towelroot is not supporting my device (even I cant do a temporary root and unlock oem through apps).
any other way to root the device requires unlocked bootloader.
I'm looking for something to do with adb shell or something to unlock the oem.
Please help me on this.
Thanks,
Harish G

OEM unlock option missing on my Samsung galaxy S8

Hello,
I have a Samsung galaxy S8, sm-g9500, I want to get it rooted, but I heard about the OEM unlock option in the developer options and I should Turn it on, but this option is not there.. And I am afraid to root my phone because the bootloader might be locked and I don't know how to unlock it. Is there anyway to know if it's locked or not?
Thanks in advance!
Yes you can..
You can put your device on download mode (hold power key and home key and volume down key together) then push volume up key.
Now you are in download mode, you can see something like : frp: on. OR frp: off.
If it is off then your mobile is not locked.
You can disable OEM by deleting your Google account from your device then your device will not request to enter your Google account and frp option will become : off.
Hi..
Im an LG g4 H5410 user....
My device seems not to have the oem unlock option in the developers section ...i searched for it but could not find it ....please would you help me find it since i want to install bootloader in my phone....thankz in advance
It tells you in download mode if its on or off, I had to re flash a firmware after messing about with my device and it didn't have OEM lock, checked in download mode and it was off so I flashed TWRP and I worked as expected.
My Galaxy S8 from T-mobile version SM-G950U don't show in any way the OEM. I tried many things. Does anyone knows how to Unlock it?

Samsung Xcover6 unlock bootloader (SM-G736B) before rooting

Wanting to root the device via magisk, I tried first to unlock the bootloader of my phone but apparently failed.
I started by activating the developer mode, set oem unlocking developer option in the settings then tried adb reboot bootloader : no success, the phone simply rebooted. A fastboot oem unlock just hung out waiting for a device.
I can go into download mode or recovery mode if that may help...
Any idea how to unlock this bootloader ? How can i check it is effectively unlocked ?
Thanks in advance for any help
It's well known that SAMSUNG mobiles don't have the Fastboot feature: there it's the Download mode.
FYI:
Power off your device. Press Volume Up + Volume Down and plug in your device to a PC to boot into download mode
When you enter download mode, Long press Volume Up button to unlock the bootloader.
ok well, let's forget about fastboot command then.
I'll answer myself on the original question, to unlock the bootloader:
switch off the phone
press volume up and volume down key
plugin a usb cable
choose "device unlock" with a long press volume up
after released the key up, choose "unlock" with volume up again
Now I'm looking to enter the download mode which I can't reach anymore. Any idea xXx yYy ?
Answer myself again
Apply the 3 first steps of my previous answer, you'll be in the same unlock screen as before but the first option will be "Continue". Choose it with volume up and you will end up in download mode !
Now I'll try rooting with magisk...
Rooting with magisk 25.2 done by a classical patching of AP from november release: AP_G736BXXU1BVK2_G736BXXU1BVK2_MQB58744363_REV00
It appears that this is the only thread on the entire forum for this phone?
Having just bought one for the removable battery and the dual SIM, I discovered that samsung in their infinite wisdom disabled the multiple users feature in their oneUI ROM, which really sucks because that was part of the reason I wanted the phone, to segregate certain apps into their own user account.
This all made me realize Root + custom ROM is probably the only way I will ever get that basic functionality returned.
So here I see that rooting is doable, but there appears to be zero results for un-samsung'd ROMs.
Which market is G736B? I was looking at ordering but I am in the US and the Samsung site is giving me the SM-G736UZKEXAA. Would the classical patching work on that?
The G736B model is sparsely distributed in EU, Asia, Africa and Oceania (see here). Your G736W US model is also based on Snapdragon 778G, it is probably the same phone with a few subtleties concerning 5G support (if any, can't find out) and software bloatware. I'd be surprised the above patching doesn't work but ... it's only a guess !
