Mi Mix 2S first root Magisk and TWRP - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Questions & Answers

Hi XDA members, I want to know step by step for those someone expert on rooting devices please do help me.
I just found an article from droid thunder that it's possible to root device without pc. And the root that article suggest is Kingoroot can I replace it with Magisk? Hope someone can help me.
P/S: the reason I wanted to root it's because i want to do a downgrade miui from stable 12.0.3.0 to 12.0.1.0. This 12.0.3.0 destroy my fingerprint access (totally lost). Already tried several guideline from youtuber how to downgrade but it fails. So I decide to do root access for downgrade.

Did you know that the Aldi Wolfgang AT-AS45IPS is the same (rebranded phone) as the Amoi N821.
I can install the rooted Amoi firmware on it (after you took a backup copy of your current firmware).
The method is described here: http://dfourn.com/?p=49
The firmware is here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-vvQ3P2Q9o0UUVUaEZ3RTVyajg/edit?usp=sharing
I would suggest you also note your IMEI number before you start, because it seems you need to copy it back after the firmware is installed.
Please let me know if this worked, cause I would like to buy one too.

[Completed] Huawei p8 unroot problem

Hello, i'm new here. I use a Huawei p8 GRA-L09 C469 B160. Anyway, i rooted my phone a few days ago with root genius (which is in chinese) but once it was done there was no super user installed so i downloaded one from the playstore. So now i've been rying to unroot it but it just won't let me, i've tried rooting and unrooting it with king root, kingo root, super su, root genius and still nothing. When i try with root genius it says something about built-in root which my phone doesn't have and the other ones just fail. I've been looking for the original firmware (C469 B160) for hours but i've only found different ones that doesn't restore it. I really need help, please. Been trying to unroot for hours.:crying:

Hi
There are a ton of guides out there explaining how to root this device, try this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../how-to-root-xiaomi-redmi-note-5-pro-t3896867
Here's a video if you want :
It's old but you can use it to see the whole process, to have a better understanding of what you're about to do.
There's a whole section for your phone one XDA , take time to browse it :
For Google pay, it should work, you have to pass SafetyNet check for the root not to be recognized. It's always risky since SafetyNet gets updated and magisk (your root manager) sometimes take a little bit of time before passing the updated SafetyNet .

Question How to Root Note 11 Pro 5G (Veux) ?

How to root Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (Veux) with stock Rom 13.0.3 Global without TWRP?
I have tried Root Redmi Note 11 Pro via ADB, its working but after booting, wifi not working.
Hello,
you need boot.img from your rom and then use magisk
for root this file. Then flash it via fastboot and you are done
Did anybody find a nice way to do this ?
Not that I can find any custom roms...
Use the search function. There's about three guides here in these forums - one of them written by me

I don't recommend someone who doesn't know what he's doing to have root.

those who can't deal with this don't have the knowledge to use root (my opinion)
I recommend that you first study what you actually do and how you can do it. Root is something that in the wrong hands can destroy a phone (missing IMEI, hard brick etc...)
