You shouldn't update it.
If you can you should turn your phone back to android pie.
Every updates have a lot of bugs and are laggy
But I don't think android 12 comes for nokia 2.2

Honestly, major android version update is overrated. Since for normal user the advantage is minimal
Is the phone still updatet from xiaomi or did they stop the support for this device ?
MIUI 12 was just released, but it's on Android 10.
As for the future, it doesn't seem likely. I think they're only required to support for 2 years anyway.

There will not be anymore updates to your device if you choose to stay on Android 10.
If you are lucky and can stay on 10 Don't update, Android 11 has so many issues for us (2 Phones here) and we are not the only ones having problems.
If you really want to update to 11 i'd wait till these issues get fixed. If Ever.
