I would like to Root this Android?
Thank you.
How can enable OEM Unlock/Lock Option?
Cannot find the OEM Unlock/Lock Option?
Tried all the steps on how to enable it.
Is there anyway to root this model by computer or apk?

The screenshot you uploaded is useless for that info, anyway you should cover your IMEI number.
OEM unlock feature must be in the developer options.
If your device is from the USA variants, then it is not unlockable.

Thank you
I was trying to let you know what type of phone that I owned.

P.S. Remark for all readers: The affected device is a Samsung Galaxy A10e (SM-A102U)

one can't root that device with apk - if some site claims different it's a scam for sure!
furthermore that bootloader is locked down entirely from samsung. if there will be workaround or exploit in future you will hear it probably from @afaneh92 first. I suggest you to read his threads and subscribe
why do you want to root that device? you probably have another issue which can maybe solved without rooting

Yes, I saw that, and it's right, I totally understand the reason behind that, it's unlikely to cover that wide range of devices in other way but for this reason I said that US variants are not unlockable (by the normal means). For the sake of accuracy, all the devices are unlockable, either for free or through a paid service, but always my answers are directed to the "fun for free" section.

F.A.Q
Q. What if my IMEI is bad or blacklisted?
A. There are a few times of blacklist... T-Mobile seems to block INTERNAL only if non payment. Others will block if non payment or lost/stolen.
This does not effect SIM unlock, I can do it regardless.... However, you WILL NOT GET NETWORK SIGNAL IF BLOCKED
Check here for T-mobile https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx and also here for all models http://imei24.com/blacklist_check/
If you are not sure ask first!
Q. Can you change/repair my IMEI?
A. HELL NO. This is not only against XDA Rules but it is illegal in most countries, including mine.
Q. Is this really free?
A. Yes, although I do hope for a donation for my time and effort
Q. When are you available?
A. See below.
Q. Can we get on with it all ready?

There is no unlocking box out there that does all devices. Their all specific to certain brands and models.
Either way getting Z3X is a no brainer it's the best one out there for Samsung LG, then you have for more expensive ones for subscription like Sigmabox and Volcanobox etc.

I don't see anything about cid11 being unlocked
This isn’t a bootloader unlock, it’s simply a way to install a unrootable French G900F 6.0.1 firmware on the G900V. The bootloader remains the same.

Hey, I'm an active poster to that thread but nobody never wrote there that he unlocked CID11 bootloader.
The linked post is a guide how to install an international 900F firmware (quite an old one) to 900V.
BTW, there's a guide by me too how to install ALEXNDR'sfirmware on G900V and it contains links to xda forum.
So, be accurate, please.
This is BS and should be taken down because it gives people with Verizon s5's with cid11 false hope.
If you have one of these phones you most likely will never get a boatloader unlock. I should known because I had one and sold it so I could find one with cid 15.
I believe that this requires Your Judgeship... @Judge Joseph Dredd to determine the fate of the 4pda link provided.
I do believe that the 4pda has been categorized as Warez but, I'm not sure and this is up to the GREAT Moderators.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.
Link removed, and thread closed unless someone wants to provide proof of an unlock. I'm very familiar with the locking mechanism of this device, I don't see this unlocking it.
Which Smartphones have Unlockable Bootloader & Can be rooted?
Post amended for better notability:
According to Sir Zelendel's recommendations and this website's list of top smartphones, I have the four products to choose the refurbished/pre-used smartphones from:
Google Pixel
Samsung Galaxy
One Plus
Honor
Click to expand...
So my next query is:
Can the earlier editions/versions of these products also have their bootloaders unlocked/re-locked and be rooted/unrooted?
The explanation behind my brief query in details:
I have assimilated what my teacher here has advised.
I decided that I will buy a 2nd hand, Out-Of-Warranty smartphone for regular use and all sorts of experimentation.
I have been perusing the forum threads. I then searched the forum threads via Google (I know how to ) for better results . Appears that I have found some encouraging posts.
Skimmed them. A few of them look encouraging. Will take some time to assimilate
I also found that the forum lists the following as the top SmPh:
[QUOTE="forum.xda-developers.com/Forums→Top Phones" ]Samsung Galaxy S9
One Plus 5T
Google Pixel 2
One Plus 5
Samsung Galaxy S8+[/QUOTE]
I assume that these mobiles can have their bootloader unlocked as well as the OS rooted?
I remember from my earlier lesson that Honor and One Plus 5T are definitely compatible with my plan to experiment.
Since these are new arrivals in the market, I might not find a 2nd hand SmPh from these said models.
So based on your vast experience, please feel free to advise me to go ahead and buy a SmPh in which I could exercise either of the two options: unlock the bootloader and root/unroot the OS.
Just a little clearification. All devices come locked when you open the box. Unlocking the bootloader and rooting it are allowed on those devices and on the One plus devices it doesnt void your warranty. Unlocking and rooting are really easy. a couple of PC commands, and one zip flash and boom you are unlocked and rooted.
Thank you, Sir.
But can those smartphones, that can easily be unrooted and their bootloaders, unlocked, be again re-rooted and bootloaders, locked, after necessary amendments, respectively?
After I have bought one of these devices I shall proceed to seek advice on how to do these.
In the meanwhile, and needless to say, I shall also search the forum posts using Google, for further info.
Thank you, Sir, for replying to the post.
Yes removing root is as simple as flashing a stock rom and then relocking the bootloader with one PC command.
If you have Firefox on PC you can use the XDA search plug in. It is far better then the built in search.
Not all devices can have an unlocked bootloader. The vast majority cant. I have never even heard of that device so I cant say for sure. But is you cant unlock the bootloader with the switch in developer settings and the PC command then you may have a device that you cant unlock the bootloader on.
Yes, Sir. In Linux it is very simple, almost a no-brainer. But I don't know why the Android programmers have made the issue complicated.
In Linux you don't really remove root access. It is still there in the system. Not so on Android due to it being turned off in the kernel and having no built in UI.
This part I don't really understand because of my lack of experience with android.
I am studying android-x86, but I am not making much of a headway.
I would really want to know as to how is it turned off in the Kernel. Which portions of the kernels are removed, or hashed/silenced.
Unlock Bootloader BKL-L04
I cannot get the bootloader unlock code from Huawei. When I fill out the phone info form I get the error "SN and IMEI are mismatched." I've tried both IMEI1 and IMEI2.
Is this because it is the US version? Is there another way to unlock the bootloader?
I am having the same issue. I am very disappointed that they would lock the bootloader on a non-carrier branded phone. I am unable to port certain app data without root which is making it very hard for me to justify keeping the phone vs returning it and going with another brand where root is obtainable.
I'm getting the same error. I emailed them last night about it and just got a reply a little bit ago. They told me that Huawei USA does not provide bootloader unlock codes. Since they're apparently refusing to provide codes for the US version, does anyone know another way to get one?
I doubt that it will work and will ultimately result in a bricked device. Per the FunkyHuawei website:
"Warning: EMUI 8.1 devices are not yet supported. EMUI 8.0 and below only for now."
There is also a warning about the USA version of the Mate 10 (Different phone but same idea) and trying to re-brand to another region.
Rebranding it is not possible (It's an EMUI 8.1 device) and will not help.
I'm highly ticked over this, I'd never bought this phone if I'd known you couldn't unlock it and root it!!!
I am right there with you. I keep trying different departments at Huawei in the hopes someone will provide the bootloader unlock code. I wish the OnePlus 5T (8GB/128GB) was still available b/c I would return this phone and get that one instead. I only bought this one b/c that one was no longer being sold and this phone seemed like the next best choice. They need to have a disclaimer on their store site if they don't intend to allow unlocking for a specific region regardless if they present the option upon logging into my account with them.
That is b/c you didn't register your country as United States. I know this b/c of the URL of the website you used to log into. If you had, you would have been prompted to be redirected to a different site as it won't let you log into that specific URL if you registered with United States. I attempted to register with a different country using another e-mail account but since I already attempted using both IMEI numbers under my United States account it was logged as being not allowed already.
This is Huaweis official reply to this problem!
Does emui allow booting with encryption disabled? As i understand it currently, official twrp is the only one working right now for the US model but can't decrypt data. Trying to decide if i should just cancel my order as nothing seems to be supporting the US version very much
Lmao you're welcome man [emoji16][emoji16]
Awesome on the mod. I was going to do it myself but wanted to know if it was even worth my time as some stock firmwares just don't boot without encryption. Good to know this one does. Where's your mod by the way? ?[emoji38]
Bootloader Unlock/Root Bounty Thread
This is where i will compile all known methods of bootloader unlock/root methods and the bounties for the respective US Carriers.
Tmobile/Sprint Status=No known Method
Tmobile/Sprint Bounty= $0
ATT Status=No Known Method
ATT Bounty=$0
Verizon Status= No Known Method
Verizon Bounty= $0
Saved for bootloader unlock methods
Saved For Rooting Methods
am I correct to assume that a network unlocked , carrier unlocked device also has no known unlock method?
Wanted to know before I buy one of these.
The U1 variant might might have a bootloader unlock setting in Developer Options. Maybe someone here can verify, as I have the UW variant. Some things I have read listed the U1 variant as populating that setting like the S20 and Note20 devices. Unfortunately, my UW has not. Next issue though is getting TWRP built for the A71 though.
U1 user here; can confirm that there is not a dev setting for OEM unlock. Now I remember why I avoided Samsung phones for so long...
I will provide $300 to any bounty for an AT&T unlock/root. I'm a new user but will happily provide any type of proof to staff if they want.
ill provide a bounty of $10, it all adds up if there is enough support.
I'll add $40 to the bounty, if anyone happens to wind up with anything promising. I knew I shouldn't have went with Samsung again, but the A71 5G was a damn good phone for $300, imho.
I have $200 for anyone who can provide the unlock or just a general unlock for all US Carriers... Like the other person said, it all adds up
I have unlocked A71 5G A716U device today, so unlock bootloader confirmed.
Cheers
afaneh92 got my bootloader unlocked and also made a TWRP version for the SM-A716U and helped me get it rooted with Magisk. Great person to deal with - super helpful!
Sadface here. I bought a A71 5G after reading the A71 thread. I thought they were the same phone. Now I'm stuck with a locked bootloader. Just never going to pay for something that should have been free to begin with.
