Maybe the Contact app can be cloned so you can separate for 2 SIM cards, but I didn't try so don't know if it actually works.

Thanks for the answer i need to try. I miss old miui with useful things. You could change even dialer.

LineageOS provides multiple accounts. See settings, system, advanced, multiple users.

2016/02/05 1.0.1963
Initial release
Zenfone users: we have temporarily removed Zenfone and other Intel based Android devices from supported devices in Google Play due to poor reviews. We will not make Parallel Space available to Intel based Android devices in Google Play until x86 support is complete. During this time, the only option to try Parallel Space is to download and install attached APK directly. Sorry for inconvenience.
FAQ
1. How many apps does Parallel Space support?
Most apps in Play Store should work within Parallel Space.
Some system apps may not work since they require permissions not available to Parallel Space.
2. ROOT?
No.
3. Does it modify or repack app?
No, what we did is created something like QEMU user mode, which is a virtualized environment. Apps running inside are completely untouched.
4. Which device does it support?
Android 4.0.3+
ARM based devices are fully supported.
Since 1.0.2002, we have added experimental x86 support. It's incomplete for now so some apps may not work properly.
5. So many permissions!
Parallel Space delegates all permission requests from apps running inside. In order to make sure apps running inside not crash due to insufficient permission, Parallel Space has to request as many permissions as possible.
6. Huge memory/battery/network consumption
Same as above. Memory, battery, network are used by apps running inside, not Parallel Space itself, just relax and enjoy.
7. I have concern about my privacy
We promise we will NEVER touch anything private inside Parallel Space.
You can find it from Google Play:
Or download directly from the attachment below.
Thank you and hope you will like it!

Now I can segregate my work and personal stuff!
Would be nice to have more control over notifications for the parallel app. Like do not disturb hours etc... That was I can turn off work notifications when I don't want them etc. Cool app

Well, using a parallel space with cloudmagic, after a while the parallel cloudmagic account will stop synching and no longer update.
Using this app on Oppo Find 7 with CRDroid 5.1.1 and my daughter is extremely pleased with its functionality. My HP TouchPad is at 4.4.4 until I get a new computer but I am very curious if there's even a rough idea on functionality with it. Incredible idea here and I'll be Greenifying it along with standard FB like normal but does this simply execute as a standard full app hanging out in RAM until active and on screen or differently?
Is this identical with LBE 平行空間?

I just installed Parallel Space onto my LG 4G dual sim phone and then successfully added WeChat 6.3.13 in Parallel Space. It works like a charm. Before that, I backed up my chat history to the server from my Windows phone. I tried to restore the chat history but found no Restore Chat History under Settings. Can someone guide me to restore the data from the server. According to backup procedure, I have to restore the backed up data in 7 days. Your help is appreciated!
I did not succed setting up whastapp, I don´t know if it is a problem of whatsapp or parallel, but stays on verfication. I left it more than ten minutes.
Did you tested with whatsapp?
Regards
Edit: Its consuming a lot of battery, it does not allow the phine to go to deep sleep. Samsung J5 Lollipop 5.1.1

Happy lunar new year and sorry for this late reply. CloudMagic uses ContentService for database synchronization which was not yet implemented in Parallel Space.
Will have it implemented in future.

Happy lunar new year! sorry for this late reply. parallel space hosts all apps running inside, if you want some app to keep running on background, please do not stop parallel space itself, otherwise you can safely greenify it.

yes it's the same app, but for users outside china.
Chat history backup to/restore from server in WeChat seems long abandoned on Android version. However Android WeChat do support migrate chat history between phone directly. If that's available on Win phone, you can have a try.

I can confirm WhatsApp runs with parallel space on One Plus One with CM 13 nightly build. The verification problem sounds more like a server problem or network problem on WhatsApp itself, not on parallel space.
For battery problem, are you living or travelling in county where access to google play has been restricted? (like in china) If so, the battery consumption is caused by google play running inside parallel space.
You're a lifesaver! This app is great!

About whatsapp, this it what I have. Whastapp verify and start ok on Knox Vault.
When I try the same thing on parallel, whatsapp pass verification, but never ends initialization, it stays on that and keeps CPU on 100% eating the baterry in an hour.
Playstore in parallel installs and opens ok.
I had to uninstall it because after three restarts an battery recharge I could not stop the fast battery consume.
Anyway may be the problem is on my phone, but after I unistalled parallel everything is normal again.
Regards,
i like the idea of it , definitely gonna try it .
Is the App similar to a virtual image on PC?
Can I assume the same in terms of sandboxing and resource separation between host and client (here host and parallel space)?
Oh this is wonderful. Great idea.

Which Dual/Parallel Space app do you use, and why?

I was on OOS and recently switched to crDroid. Probably the only thing that I really miss is the utility called Parallel Space which allowed me to have two copies of the same package. It worked seamlessly. However, ever since I have switched to crDroid, my options are limited. Any dual space app that i try from the Play Store are either clumsy or bloated. I am looking for a worthy replacement for OOS' Parallel Apps. The best app I could find was 'Island'. But it is more of a sandbox app. To use one app in Island (ex. WhatsApp), I need to add more apps to Island (Adobe Reader to view pdf, Contacts apps to access contacts, etc.)
So I want to know what apps are you guys using, and if possible also tell why. Thanks.

Dumbing down phone as much as possible with Custom ROM

Hello.
I plan to turn my phone as "dumb" as possible, leaving only apps that are absolutely necessary and practical, essentially making my phone as minimalistic, simple and distraction free while at the same time maximizing the hurdle to install new apps due to the lack of willpower aswell as the general battery life.
I have the POCO F1 with LineageOS 19.1, root is currently enabled via Magisk.
I considered just buying a regular dumb phone, but unfortunately I do not feel they are worth it; plus I'd want to still use Spotify.
I'd greatly appreciate ideas/solutions for this particular project. Thank you in advance!

What you'd like to do isn't really "dumbing down" XD - it is simply making a "barebones Android" phone with only the apps/functions you need without usual bloat that comes preinstalled on the new devices. This is in fact something a lot of people on XDA are passionate about, as it helps optimize for space, speed, battery life and privacy.
For the Android phone to be considered usable in modern day and age, it needs a handful of apps:
Dialer
SMS messenger
Contacts
File manager
Gallery
Clock
Calendar
Calculator
Web browser
Camera
Installing vanilla LineageOS rom (or any other rom with no GoogleApps) will give you this default Android experience. For 99% of tasks that do not involve Google this is enough.
However, most people want something more than just a dialer, and so phone manufacturers pre-install some other stuff for them: Google (play store, chrome, maps, drive, mail), Payment (Samsung Pay), Gallery/Music apps, social media apps, fancy wallpapers etc. This is what makes the phone "smart" for you, I guess?
In case you want to cut it down further, you can use adb to remove certain apps from this list. This includes certain system apps too, like unnecessary fonts or accessibility services (web search is your friend here). Theoretically the phone can serve as a GSM calling brick only with the following:
Dialer
SMS messenger
Contacts
But then you'd be doing the hardware a misservice - why lug around Octa-core 8GB RAM 4000mAh HD TFT6.1" 999GB device if you could achieve the same with a Nokia 1100 or 3310? These are still being sold
UPDATE: Just saw your additions about Spotify. If you only want to use the phone for Calling/Web browsing/YouTube/Spotify, go with the "Install No GApps LineageOS -> Sideload apps you need and nothing else".
Word of WARNING though: a lot of popular messaging/steraming/quality of life (maps) apps APSOLUTELY DEPEND on google ecosystem (i.e. GApps like google play, google play services and google services framework).
WITHOUT GOOGLE THESE APPS WILL LIKELY CRASH or won't work as intended. I.e. Whatsapp will not give you "New message" notifications and will not ring UNLESS you have it open in your face right when the call comes in. Delivery/Ride sharing apps that need google maps will not show you the map. Facebook messenger will has the same problem as Whatsapp. List of risks is far too long, and you will need to have an idea of whether the app requires google and whatsnot.
Therefore Make absolutely sure that barebones phone is what you want. If it is, a lot of apps that reliably work with the barebones setups can be found on Fdroid.
Despite having "dumb" in the name, this procedure requires one to be amazingly smart about it
To conclude, you have the following ways of achieving this:
1. Install no-Gapps (i.e. "vanilla") lineageOs, delete what you wont need, sideload .apk of apps you are after
2. Install stock android rom, then Degoogle and Debloat it. Guides for your particular model can be found here on XDA
3. Install SlimROM, a custom Android distro whose developers had the same idea as you did, i.e. optimized for simplicity.

With regards to a single-user Android:
Some Android devices offer native support for app cloning. It lets you run multiple copies of the same app without having to install any third-party tool. This feature is available on Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, and OnePlus phones, among others.
Anyways, there are tons of cloning apps on Google Play. Not all of them are reliable or safe, though. So let's look at some of the best cloning apps out there and how to use them to install the same app twice on Android:
Parallel Space
is a pioneer in the app cloning niche and is based on multiDroid, the first and fastest Android virtualization system. You can use it to create two versions of an app with separate data files, so both versions run independently.
It provides excellent privacy features to protect your data, and you can keep the cloned apps in a secret space with a security lock using the incognito installation.
Dual space
is another solid cloning app with low CPU consumption and great social account support. It can clone almost all social apps, including WhatsApp, and allows you to use both the standard and cloned apps simultaneously without data interference.
Dual Space also manages notifications from cloned apps effectively, so they won't interfere with the regular apps. Its Private Space feature lets you use multiple social accounts in complete privacy and with zero traces. And with its quick cloning feature, you can quickly duplicate all apps.
With regards to a multi-user Android:
Simply install the app in question per configured user.

How to solve Custom ROM problems with online banking and security checks on all phones

Hi everyone who's still having this problem.
1: download and install an app that can make a secure space on your phone like dual app or dual space etc
2: add your online banking app to your newly installed application as mentioned like dual space or parallel space etc.
3: run your online banking apps and hopefully it should solve your problems.
Dual space works for me as you can see in the screenshots however it may not work for you and you may need to install a similar app that suits you depending on your phone model and the custom ROM you're using.
There are lots of them available in play store for free.
Thanks for reading my article
