@mouse723 signaled that first Lineage OS rom for X2 has been released:
ROM Name:
Huawei X2 GEM-703L LineageOS 13
ROM Size:
873 MB (916,101,856 bytes)
Adapted version:
Android6.x
Author brief introduction:
Piaooop
Release Date:
2017.09.12
Download Links:
ROM : pan.baidu.com/s/1qXY5GfE
Gapps: http://opengapps.org/ (choose ARMVA &Android 6.0, prefer pico apps)
Installation requirements:
1 your device must have any android 6 rom installed already
2 twrp recovery must be installed
Installation:
1 restart device into twrp recovery mode
2 make a backup of your firmware
3 wipe data/factory reset
4 Install Piaooop X2 lineageOS 13.zip
5 if you need google apps and google services install the desired gapps pack .zip file
6 if you want root access, install SuperSU.zip from here
Not Working: (thanks to @ajsmsg78 for first test)
- Data does not work (No SIM and no sim settings at all)
- Camera's zoom
- Double tap
- no smart-cover detection
Other possible issues:
- if you face too much battery comsuption, try greenify
- colors mismatch in camera
I flashed that ROM already don't even waste your time nothing works
I tested that rom. Don't waste your time, sim cards don't work and the camera bugs are still there.
The rom zip is also password protected so I can't take it apart and fix it. I don't know why these Chinese devs insist on password protecting an Android rom and never providing a file_contexts file to make it possible to extract and rebuild. They port roms and then make it impossible for anyone else to try and fix them. They can fix this one themselves, I want no part of it.
Thread closed - the ROM is effectively closed source, so no place for it on XDA.

FAQ
Q: Does this ROM supports double tap to wake? A: No. And will not in future.
Q: Cannot add widgets to home screen. Widgets is not supported? A: Widgets is not supported in builtin launcher. Download any third-party home app (like Nova Launcher) and enjoy!
Q: Why split screen mode is not available? How to enable? A: Due to Android Go limitations, all forms of multiwindowing is not available on this edition of Android.
Q: When my app "foo" asks permission to access to notifications or to run on top of other apps, I see "This feature is disabled"... A: This is limitations of Android Go to save memory.
Q: Cannot use my sdcard as primary storage! A: This feature is unstable and excluded from ROM.
Q: Flashed this ROM but phone don't booting! A1: Boot to recovery and wipe /data, then reboot. A2: If your /data is formatted to f2fs, format it to ext4 and boot your phone.
Q: What is "Gapps for Android Go"? A: This is Gapps set, extracted as-is from Nokia 1 Plus Android 11 Go firmware and packaged for Lenovo A6000. Nothing removed, just fixed some permissions and added Google Camera Go.

Finally android 11 for a6000 thank you
Wow, I thought the previous version (17.1) is the last one for this device.
I am really happy I was wrong!
Thank you so much for your work acroreiser and dev_harsh1998. Also thanks to everyone who is credited!
First of all thanks to all the Devs who have kept this device still alive by providing it with those up to date roms...
Well I am using this rom for last 3 days i must say its super smooth apps are opening blazing fast, all major functions are working properly and it can be used as a daily driver for sure...
Now I encounter one bug so far its in Camera Go app the thing is when i change the storage location to SD card and start video recording than it suddenly freezes after some seconds by saying "Something went wrong " than i need to restart the app for using it again, by the way when i change the storage location back to internal than video recording is working fine so its really not bothering me that much....
There is one more thing well its not a bug its just my observation with this rom that during charging its heat up more than expected even when its charging at 90% to 100% slot which i never experience with any other roms.
All in all still its worth a shot everything's working fine, thanks to the devs again...

The problem is in the application itself. in the firmware the application is of the old version and there should be no problems with the video. But it is automatically updated to the latest version in the Playmarket and there is a problem. Remove the app update and it will work as expected.

Hey devs,
Thanks for this brand new ROM! I use this phone as a daily driver and wanted your advice on this version or the 17.1 version. Which one is likely to be maintained in the future? I understand that 17.1 is stable but will it still get more updates or security patches or should I go ahead with this 18.1 version, please?
Thank you for your help and also for keeping this phone alive in 2021.
Cheers,
S

Currently Lineage OS 18.1 is maintained.
Both 17.1 and 18.1 is based on my Go device tree (forked from @dev_harsh1998 lineage-16.0 tree) but lineage-17.1 branch is not maintained since february 2021.
I don't know is @twain55 can maintain 17.1 builds for a long time (better ask him).
Lineage OS 18.1 is pretty stable for daily usage by user reports and my experience with a6010 (I don't have a6000 and primarily maintaining a6010 with merging stable changes to a6000 tree).
Can a dirty flash be done from 17.1 ?

Of course no.
New build is up!
Changes:
June security patch level
Updates from Lineage OS team
Memory and performance optimizations for 1/8 devices
Forward-ported qcom memory optimizations (frameworks/base)
Updated Binder driver (kernel)
Implemented automatic background apps memory reclaim (kernel)
Restored Qualcomm VP8 and HEVC codecs
Updated Bluetooth HAL from Nokia 1.3
Updated some media blobs
Some kernel tweaks from other low ram devices (Redmi Go, Nokia 1.3)
Workaround for broken video recording in recent versions of Google Camera Go
Recent apps screen is limited to 5 apps to save memory
Killed multiuser support - Go devices should not have this. Also this feature is pointless in our ancient phones...

Wow, thank you so much for the android 11 version. It is minimalistic and smooth. Loved the rom. Also thank you devs for keeping this device alive.
Needs Undervolting.
Even the standby drain is around 600ma.
Also I've bought a new battery for this, even that cannot survive more than an hour of SOT.
Please optimised the kernel or just undervolt it a bit.
Also only one of the back speaker is working,

Installed the latest build. Thank you. Great work . Everything is working very good. Battery life is extremely good. Got 7-8 hours full HD youtube playback on 4g. Go version is working very smoothly ( previously was using android 5.0 stock )
...
I also have another device 10or.E which has similar SoC SD430. Can you tell me step by step instructions. Kernel source is available. ( I read about building but did not clearly understand various terms like vendor etc... Tried to create initial .mk files for the board but errors at luch command itself )

Installation instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP recovery (you can find it in downloads) and latest Android Lollipop (5.0.2 for matisse, 5.1.1 for millet) firmware
Download the latest build and GApps (ARM) - if you'll go to wipe even internal storage, put them on a microSD or an USB OTG, or copy them after wiping it
Boot to recovery mode
Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select system, data, cache and dalvik/art cache (and, if you want to clean more, select even internal storage, which deletes all the content in /sdcard) and do swipe to wipe. When it finishes, go to home page
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Do the same thing to flash GApps
Reboot > System
Update instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP build
Download the latest build
Boot to recovery mode
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Reboot > System
Known issues :
Some randomic minor issues with YouTube app (sometimes, after skipping ads in a video, you'll get just a grey screen - close and reopen video to fix the issue)
Some randomic issues with bluetooth MAC address (bluetooth app crashes always). To fix this, you need to get (take note!) the address by going to stock ROM and getting that from Settings > About tablet menu. Then, come back to LineageOS 18.1 and rewrite the file /efs/bluetooth/bt_addr by using root permissions and a root file explorer, or by using adb push/pull, better in TWRP.
5 GHz WiFi networks between channels 149 and 161 are invisible to the Tab

Thank you for the rom I got this running today. Working well haven't seen anything really out of the ordinary.
Dpi on this tablet is meh haha.
My experience was smooth up until I had to install gapps. Had an error with system partition mount.
Ended up loading into LOS without gapps. It installed LOS recovery then loaded balls from there.
The performance isn't really as snappy but it's an older tablet. Can I expect more? Or improve it?

Hi, I'm using stock DPI, but if you want, you can change the screen elements or font size in display settings.
About gapps, you can even try BitGapps or beta opengapps.
Performance-wise, probably this is almost the limit. I'm working on getting faster booting times, but it isn't that easy. While in usage, probably with some kernel tweaks and overclock, it can go better, but I'm not able to do these works in kernel.
This is really awesome. Thank you for the efforts and taking your time to provide this to the community. I literally just pulled my Tab 4 out of my old locker and gave it a charge. Coming to see it has lineage 18.1 available to it, really blew my mind. Fantastic!
Awesome! Is there any chance to run this on SM-T230 degaswifi (7.0) devices?

If I'm not wrong, it's just a small package with the essential apps, like play store and play services. You can look at Bitgapps too.

Ah I forgot, there are Opengapps too, but they are a beta version. Mindthegapps package should equal to a pico Opengapps package. By the way, I'm not an expert about GApps, so I can't tell you anything else (regarding Bitgapps too).
have used the open gapps 11 test package. it works and then you grab the rest of the apps that you need from playstore.
Dear Matteo,
thx for the awesome ROM. You did a great job.
I am facing one issue with WiFi.
I am using a hidden WiFi at home and ROM is able to connect to it when WiFi is setup.
But it will not connect ot the WiFi when WLAN switched on. I have to delete current network and re-configure ot to get access to my network.
Network is declared as hidden during setup.
Do you know this issue or is anyone else having the same prob?
Do I need to set it ip differently?
Thx, mate, and all the best.

I just pulled out my Tab4 8" and got this working very easily.
Oden 3.14.1 to upgrade to TWRP 3.5.2, then transferred Lineage 18.1 milletwifi & open gapps arm 11 pico to the device via USB and installed. Very pleased with the performance thus far. It's running better than Lineage 16.
Thank you to all who had a hand in bringing this together.
You can also use Nikgapps for LOS 18.1. The core package would be comparable to Gapps pico.
NikGApps - Custom Google Apps Package!

@matteo0026 Thanks for LOS 18.1. As 17 seems stable, I'll be stick with that for now on my SM-T530NU.

Hi, unfortunately, I've never tried to do these tests. Try to do some other tests by setting IP differently, as you told, or some other ways you can think to fix the issue, if it's at your side and not in the ROM side. By the way, I'm really surprised for what users want to use this tablet at this time yet, by looking LineageOS 17.1 too. And I guess something won't be fixable. Blobs are old, and tablet can't support everything perfectly
As others have already reported, the MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm-20210412_124103.zip file apparantly can’t be installed with TWRP (mount error). I installed the open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20210130-TEST.zip instead.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm/test/20210130/
Today I made a new installation and installed the BiTGApps-arm-11.0.0-R28_signed.zip with TWRP (22 MB smaller than open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20210130-TEST.zip).
https://www.pling.com/p/1462973/
As already reported in the thread on version 17.1, the automatic detection and switching to a connected USB DAC does not work with my SM-T530 and the DAC’s GGMM A1 and SABRENT even with version 18.1. With 17.1 you could manually switch the audio output to USB DAC and back to internal speakers using the LesserAudioSwitch app. With 18.1 (Android 11) the app no longer works, if you install it normally. Android 11 requires a permission for audio routing. Here my solution, if you have root by Magisk. Download the "LesserAudioSwitch.zip" file from here:
https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=319752
After extraction the ZIP file you get the "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.6.0.apk" (free, but 2 Options locked) and a "privapp_lesser.xml file". Copy the "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.6.0.apk" (set the permissions to "rw-r--r--") via Root Explorer into the folder "/system/priv-app/" in a new subfolder "LesserAudioSwitch" (set the permissions to "rwxr-xr-x") and the file "privapp_lesser.xml" file into the folder "/system/etc/permissions/" (set the permissions to "rw-r--r--"). Then you have to restart the device and "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.6.0.apk" will automatically installed as system app.
Go to "Settings/Apps & Notifications/Show all (xx) apps/Lesser AudioSwitch/Storage and cache/", then "Wipe cache" and "Wipe storage" and "OK". Click onto "Back"-Button, "Force quit" and "Deactivate".
Download this modified version "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.5.0" (both options unlocked) from here:
https://www.happymod.com/lesser-aud...r-audioswitch-mod-apk-v2-5-0-downloading.html
Go to "/system/priv-app/LesserAudioSwitch" and delete via "Root Explorer" the "LesserAudioSwitch2.6.0.apk" file and copy the "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.5.0 mod.apk" (set the permissions to "rw-r--r--") into this folder. Restart your device again. The "Lesser AudioSwitch 2.5.0 mod.apk" file will automatically installed as system app. Go to "Settings/Apps & Notifications/Show all (xx) apps/Lesser AudioSwitch/" and tip on "Activate".
Now the app works like with android 10 and with both free options "RESTORE ON BOOT" and "AUTO". You may have to reinstall the app after an update of LineageOS. Important: Don’t enable "MagiskHide" for this app in the "Settings" of "Magisk" (click onto "shield" symbol, "MagiskHide", "Show system apps" and "Show all installed apps", only enable: "Google Play Store" and "Google Play Services")!
Go to "Quick start window", click onto "pencil" symbol for editing, drag the icons "USB DAC", "Speakers", "Headphones" and "Bluetooth" into the "Quick start window" for faster change of the audio output.
Good luck installing!
@matteo0026: Thank you for LinageOS 18.1 on a 7 year old SM-T530!
Great job!

Of course yes
Fixed, kinda, with OpenGapps Pïco it worked.
Well it boots but I get stuck in a weird loop during the initial setup. I'm stuck in the "Checking for updates" -> "Just a sec..." screens just switching and looping forever. Or when I proceed to do the setup offline without connecting to WiFi, it just sits on the "Just a sec..." loading screen forever.
It seems like some background processes are timing out during the setup process or failing to run properly, I could see the messages pop up for a split second before disappearing, "Speech services by Google keeps stopping" being one of them for example, the others pop up so fast that I wasn't able to read them, but something regarding Google play services or something.
Can I just reinstall the Gapps or...? Or do you think this is an issue with something else? Or is it supposed to take extremely long?
Only google apps before 31/01/2021 are supported by all A11 ROM. Which version did you install?
The same version that I used for the DarkJoker Lineage 18.1 ROM, ogapps-nano-20210803 which worked fine(?) with that ROM, apart from some other unrelated issues with audio/microphone.
Got the gapps working by first booting into system without gapps and completing the initial setup, then going back to recovery and installing the gapps.
So far so good, boot time seems a lot faster than LOS 18.1 from DarkJoker360, but camera isn't synchronized with flash lght(same as in LOS 18.1).
Thank You.
RNE-L21 Here.
Yes I have fixed slow boot. For the synchronisation of the camera I will try to fix it. Perhaps with the stock rom apk camera

What are these other problems? I correct the problems that are pointed out to me in the ROM that I maintain and afterwards I distribute my fixes.

Thank you for trying to fix the camera bug.
Also I forgot to mention that I had to copy the 1080x2160 folder with the offline charger status since my phone screen differ.
I think the only differences between the p10 Lite and Mate p10 Lite(RNE-L21) is screeen size, amount of ram and cpu clock.
I don't use gapps so cannot comment on this tough.

P.
Hello
If you are interested I fixed an issue that affects all Huawei A11 ROMs last night. This is a rights issue that prevents applications from reading and writing to the directory that contains the photos. The patch is on the LeaOS thread but it must also work on the crDroid. I will integrate your offline loading images in my next patch. You can send me the zip in MP
Thanks, have a good day

Awesome I'll look into that.
The problems I've experienced indeed occur on all of the A11-based ROMs as you mentioned, so perhaps this will fix that.
But just to bring out my problems with the ROM, there seems to be some kind of a conflict with how apps access the camera/microphone:
Sometimes (most frequently when using something like Snapchat) the camera stops working completely (it says that the camera could not be connected to) and you have to exit the app and reopen it to make the camera work again. This is the only issue that also happens on the stock camera app in addition to all of the third party apps.
Also on Snapchat, you're not able to record any videos, only take pictures. When you try to record a video the video preview just freezes and essentially all it will be able to do is just capture a picture of the first frame of the "video" you were trying to take. After that if you try to go back the camera crashes and will only display black image until you close the app and open it again.
When using the camera on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, you can record videos, but the audio in the captured video is kind of distorted or bad quality.
However when using the stock camera app or the stock audio recorder app the audio was fine, on all of the A11 ROMs I've tried.
So far I've tested Darkjoker Lineage 18.1 ROM and AOSP 11 ROM and also latviandudes Descendant XI and the distorted audio issue has been present on each one of them.
Since nobody has reported these bugs on any of those ROMs, and since it happens for me on all of the ROMs I suspected that maybe it's just my device that is broken but I reverted back and reinstalled original EMUI OS from the Huawei recovery thing, and when testing it on EMUI everything works fine, audio is good, camera works.
So idk, it must have something to do with A11 ROMs?
I havent tested other non-A11 ROMs, so idk if there's any difference there but yeah.
One of the other problems is that applications aren't able to preview photos when you're trying to select photos to send. On FB Messenger for example, it says "Error loading media" for all of the images. On other apps like Discord/Twitter all images appear black/won't load.
This probably has to do with this what you posted:

But yes, I really don't have a clue what the other issues are related to but let me know and I can send some more proper examples and explanations or something
I have fix the error "Error loading media". See my thread LeaOS and install the last fix
To download media fix : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-huawei-11-leaos-lineage-18-1-for-huawei-device.4371629/
I will see if I can reproduce and correct the other problems

Hi,
I manage to reproduce the problem on my version of lineage 18.1 and on my PRA-LX1 . I will try to fix it.
Thanks,
I've updated my phone, "Rhone", to the latest version of crDroid by AltairFR.
My update curve was although different.
I HAVE had installed previous version of crDroid on my phone.
I've booted to TWRP, cleaned cache/dalvik cache, rebooted to bootloader, flashed latest system image via fastboot, rebooted to TWRP again, flashed AGPS patch, resized system partition.
After that phone rebooted to system normally.
I've had all my apps installed and working fine, my sdcard was mounted properly and all my files was still there(phone is using it as an extension to internal system memory).
The only thing I've noticed after first boot was a progress bar with sign "performing system update"!
The offline charging is working grate(no more reboots), thanks AltairFR.
With Syberia 4.4.280 kernel battery life improved significantly, IMHO + 1/3 of initial life on stock huawei kernel, yes it is "one day+" extra time!
What bothers me is the phone model in "about phone" information center.
If any one knows what files have to be edited to change it to RNE-L21 instead PRA-LX1 would be grateful. If it is impossible I'm fine with it.
Thank you very much,
Bests,
P.

If I only write to the system and gapps, then I can boot normally.
If magisk are written, the system cannot be boot on and restarts in a loop.
Correctly installed Rom Lineage 19 and MindTheGapps in xiaWRomi MI4C with 2Gb of storage. I have the TWRP Orange-Fox and the F2FS partition, I formatted the data and did a zip installation lineage-19.1-20220518-UNOFFICIAL-libra, deleted in system/system/fonts Notosans CJK in case there was not enough space to install MindTheGapps-12.1 .0-arm64-20220416_174313.zip.
Everything worked fine, after setting up the Google account.
Don't install Magics, because someone said it was incompatible.
If I find any error, I'll tell you about it. Thank you very much
Edit:I just installed Magisk v25.0 working perfectly.
Edit: After using it for two days with internet, Sygic, Google Maps, iGo and it works fine. The problems that I detect are: some unexpected restart, some delay on the unlock screen. The GPS connection is not precise, but it was already with the previous ROMs and the battery is fine.
Thank you very much for keeping MI 4c alive
thanks a lot
Hi @tipzrickycheung,
Thank you for the ROM.
I use Mi4c, 3GB RAM. I flashed recommended Firmware before I clean flash your ROM. What I've noticed is that the phone is getting quite hot when not much loaded. Also there are issues with Bluthooth. It happens each time I connect to Hi-Fi system and then I can't do much on the phone, it freezes. I have to restart it.

I am not an expert to make a tutorial, my way of proceeding is: trial and error.
The process is the same that we use to install other previous ROMs.
My experiments are always with a device that I don't need, so if it doesn't work the first time, I try again ?????
If you have any specific problem, you can comment on it and we will try to find a solution.
Cheer up and good luck
Now i have TWRP installed and MIUI 9.5.2.0 (NXKCNFA) running on my device.
What should be the next step? To boot into TWRP and wipe the phone? Than i should copy the LineageOS 19.1 on the phone?
