I have a car OBD dongle that has its own WiFi SSID which I need to connect to so I can run some tests. But for some reason my S21 on android 12 doesn't connect to the WiFi even though it sees it and it's full signal. My iOS iPhone connects perfectly fine. I need to get this working on my android because the app I want to do some testing with is on Android. Can anyone help?

Before I had my Charge, I had an Imagio running WinMo 6.5. On that phone I ran an app called WiFi Router to share my Verizon Internet. The cool thing was that my phone cold also connect to my home Belkin router and as long as every other device was on the same network, they would all see the Internet via the Belkin (even the wired devices).
Now I have my Charge rooted and I am running Barnacle with no problems. But to share my Internet with all of my devices, I have to have a PC with a WiFi card and a Wired NIC then run ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)... yuck!
Is there any way I can share my Charge's Internet the same way I did on my Windows phone?
If there were a way to have the WiFi running at the same time as Barnacle, it might work as I need/want.
Can someone explain why this tablet needs a Hotspot. If it doesn't have 3G/4G connectivity why would I need to connect something to this device? When I connect it to a Wifi any other device could connect to the same Wifi without going through the tablet. When I connect the tablet to my phone I just turn on the Hotspot on my phone and connect the tablet via Wifi. So my question is what is the purpose of having a Hotspot built into this tablet? I'm just not seeing a need for it........
Because USB Ethernet adapters work, too. My work has no WiFi Router in range for me, but I can connect a LAN cable to my tablet and turn that into a WiFi hotspot for my phone.
And Hotspot is just a general feature in Android. It also not makes any sense to have mobile.data and such (which is also clogging memory) on a non-telephone tablet, it's just there.
Anyone know if it's possible to tether either via usb or bluetooth with the p900?
I just want a network connection between the two to use for ssh/telnet with Juice ssh and remote keyboard.
I can't use hotspot as I need be able to connect to the internet over my macbook's wifi. Public networks usually don't allow 2 devices to talk to each other so it doesn't work over wifi.
Ignore.
For anyone that has this issue on a Macbook you need to go into networks and makes sure that the Bluetooth PAN connects. It doesn't happen automatically as it does for my other android devices
The Note Pro is then accessible at 192.168.44.1
Actually I just connected to my phone as the bluetooth was on. So still a question is the P900 capable of bluetooth networking?
I tried the Bluetooth PAN app on the app store and it complains that the executable file /system/bin/pand is missing. Does anyone know of a way to add this in?
In case anyone else needs this USB tethering works fine using Valera1978's port of CyanogenMod 12.1.
Hey, dear Experts.
I got big and hard question for u all. Thanks for any help.
I bought ipad 2017 9.7 and i thought i will use my android hotspot.
When i connect to this phone hotspot in Ipad.
(It connects and disconnects all the time in interval 3-8seconds) so no internet access at all.
I put another the same provider card in my phone, it didn't work too. I put my card on other device android and iphone , they worked.
So yeahz the problem is my phone, does anyone know, what that could be?
Same problem here; turn on your Bluetooth hotspot instead of your WiFi hotspot and connect your iPad via Bluetooth and it should work flawlessly

Hi!
When I enable the hotsot on my Android 7 device and later connect to my other android 7 or iphone the internet works flawlessly, when I connect with my head unit android 8 it connects and doesn't have a x in the wifi icon but it doesn't make a connection to the internet? I dont know what is wrong or what is causing this problem.. the head unit does connect to the hoptspot of iphone and other android 7 device and wifi networks. the only thing not working is the connection between my phone and the head unit? and since bluetooth tethering isnt a thing on these devices, there isnt really a way to connect to the internet on the road..
