Anyone have a 11.0.12.12.KB05AA boot.img or stock firmware to share? The latest update isn't listed on OnePlus's firmware download page. Can't find it anywhere in here either.

At the moment there is no full update zip for 11.0.12.12 AA. As for the boot.img, can't help with that.

If your trying to root just get magisk APK and change APK to zip and install in twrp it will patch boot img automatically and make a backup of original boot
pulled with adb shell (su)

If this is a full firmware when you will extract it you will find a dload folder in this there will be update.app just copy dload folder to SD and start flashing with three buttons.
If this is a ota file you just need to put whole update.zip in dload folder and start flashing....

Installation Directions:
Boot into TWRP recovery, you will need it installed.
It is recommended to clear your system partition (performing a clean flash) before installing any kind of ROM ZIP. This is not needed, but recommended. You can do this by going into Wipe>Advanced Wipe, and then selecting the partitions that you want to clear.
IMPORTANT: If you want to keep your custom recovery/TWRP, you have to either flash a root-installing ZIP or another zip that retains the recovery installed. Android will attempt to override your custom recovery with the stock recovery when you flash a stock ROM, so if you don't want to lose TWRP, I suggest you do this.
Flash the desired ZIP. If you want the full ROM, flash the COMPLETE ZIP. If not, then choose the ZIP that you want to install.

If another update rolls out to this model (Oreo maybe?), please let me know by posting in this thread. I downloaded the 21a and took the OTA updates. I saw your thread right as I finished my downloads. I will be downloading your .zip tonight thought. (DSL means I have to be extremely bandwidth conscious, with 5 people using a 4mb connection).
In related news, the OTA updates from 21a -> 21b don't seem to have replaced TWRP. That's good. :good:
edit: 21b -> 21c replaced TWRP with the stock recovery. grumble grumble.
Any chance you can do this for 21b? I need the stock recovery (and possibly boot) to take the ota from 21b to 21c (rather than wiping and flashing this). Thanks for any help.
Is it possible to install this using LGUP for my RS988? I can't receive the 11d OTA in order to unlock the bootloader because my carrier never pushed it.

hey you would happen to have the kdz file for rs98821c

Asgard 7.0 does work with this version of the ROM. However, I (and a lot of other users) have run in to a few problems, including random bootloops and freezing.
I am not aware of any other kernels available for our model (RS988).

Current Firmware: MHA-L09C346B136
I would like to apply the OTA firmware update but I can't since I had flashed TWRP and superuser a long time ago.
I've been googling around for the last 2 hours but I'm not still not sure what to do. The most relevant thread I found was: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/help/upgrade-firmware-due-to-twrp-root-t3591428
- "Flash original recovery.img from your firmware file via fastboot then upgrade your firmware via ota"
I've been searching around for my firmware but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Would any MHA-L09 firmware work?
And once I do find the firmware file, what other steps are there?
Do I need to extract recovery.img from the firmware using HuaweiUpdateExtractor or something like that?
Do I run the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img after I find the recovery image?

You could probably use L09C33B136 and extract recovery.img from that, then flash using fastboot as you said. Worst case you have to flash back TWRP if recovery doesn't work.
Do you know if you've modified /system, /product or /vendor? If you have you won't be able to install OTA, it will fail when checking if those partitions are modified.
If you want to update using full firmware you will have to rebrand.

Thanks! I flashed the recovery.img file from that firmware as you suggested and now I have the latest firmware.
I noticed that the incremental firmware update that was already downloaded to my phone failed halfway though. Upon rebooting, I checked for updates again and this time round, it decided to download the full firmware instead which ended up being applied successfully.
My device is rooted and i have installed a TWRP recovery, & i want to update it, but always stuck at the recovery mod with ERROR 7!! help plz
This is because you're trying to update without flashing back stock recovery.img of your firmware build, and TWRP isn't able to analyze and confirm the update package as valid before starting the update process.
To update correctly, extract the recovery.img (32MB like) from your update package (probably you'll need to downlaod the update.zip of your actual firmware if you didn't stored a copy) using Huawei Update Extractor program, flash it by ADB in the same way you flashed TWRP and once done, update again. Then you can flash TWRP again.

Sorry for my late respond... Peace out
Hello, I'm trying to root my phone again. I have my bootloader unlocked and was able to find TWRP-3.5.0-9-0-guacamole (image and installer).
But in every tutorial they say you need to have a boot.img. I tried looking for Oneplus 7 Pro OOS 10.0.11 GM21BA but I can't find anything and I am scared to try it with the wrong files.
Does anyone know where I can find it? Or is it safe to flash Magisk only and not the TWRP recovery because I saw somewhere that that would patch your boot.img and it would be safe.
I would like to keep all the files I have on my phone currently so I am asking before I am going to attempt anything lol.
Here is some info about my phone:
Model: GM1913
Build: Oxygen OS 10.0.11.GM21BA
Android: 10
I am trying to follow this tutorial: https://www.xda-developers.com/unlock-bootloader-root-oneplus-7-pro/
In the written tutorial it doesn't say anything about needing a boot.img but in the video the guy is talking about it.
I also was wondering if I have the correct files so far.
with "payload dumper" it can be extracted from the full OTA update file

Yeah I also saw something like this but I can't find how to find the payload.bin file OR the full OTA update file xD
I found a full OTA when putting my build into Google and then limiting search results to only this month.
Then I used payload_dumper to successfully extract the boot.img and now I can follow the tutorial again.
