Hello, i have stock rom with magisk and twrp installed. I want to update system, but if i flash system phone won't boot. Please help!
Did you have flashed Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip too? Otherwise the Phone will end in a bootloop or even won't start

I had latest magisk (stable version) installed and tried to disable it from magisk manager->uninstall->restore images.
when i restarted the phone it stuck on bootloader screen.
I tried to got to twrp recovery mode and it's stuck on the flash screen.
Why would magisk manager put a button which is not working at all and bricks the phone? Please guide me what to do.

Maybe you did something wrong and this isn't Magisk fault ?
Go to twrp and wipe system and vendor DO NOT REBOOT, flash OOS zip and twrp again, and it shall work,
NOTE: you will NOT lose any files or data

Hello
My X3 NFC was rooted with Magisk 23.0 and I had installed mahajant99's TWRP 3.5.0-0.
Everything was working fine and I need root especially for Titanium Backup, aProfiles and other apps.
I updated to the official Surya GLobal 12.0.1.0 firmware with TWRP, taking care to reinstall just after Magisk 23.0 still with TWRP.
The phone booted, but impossible to enter the system (the screen remains on the MIUI logo) and when I tried to start the recovery, I had the message "The system has been destroyed"!
I managed to restart the phone by reinstalling the original (unrooted) boot.img with fastboot and the phone rebooted normally. The original recovery reinstalled itself...
If I try to install TWRP, I get the message "The system has been destroyed" and if I install a rooted boot.img with fastboot, the phone boots, but unable to enter the system (the screen remains on the MIUI logo).
Has anyone had the same mishap as me?
How do I resolve these issues so that I can reinstall TWRP and Magisk?
Regards

You patched the boot.img correctly?

That TWRP is completely outdated. You need this one:
myromupdates - Browse /surya/TWRP_brigudav at SourceForge.net

Hello,
Thanks, this allowed me to move forward, but not yet to install TWRP ... I think for Android 11 version it will need update from TWRP Surya 3.5.2_10-5. On the other hand, I managed to root my phone, which is already great!
When I install TWRP with fastboot and despite having installed avb-patcher (included in TWRP) as well as activated the prevention so that TWRP is not replaced by the original recovery, the system always restarts on the TWRP recovery with the message "android rescue party trigger fix" and the reason "enablefilecrypto_failed"...
Fortunately I can start TWRP with the command "fastboot boot twrp.img" to reinstall the original firmware without losing my data and get a working system....
I nevertheless managed to install Magisk and root the phone with TWRP using the "fastboot boot twrp.img" command while keeping the original recovery. I have restarted several times and it continues to be rooted with no issues. I breathe...
But, I think that we should not install avb-patcher (included in TWRP), because then impossible to enter the system, we always go back to the original recovery. To check...
Thank you again and see you soon.
Hello everyone, today i was updating the phone as i always do, installing magisk in the idle slot, after installing the update, and then restarting the phone.
Unfortunately this time for an oversight I restarted the phone without installing magisk in the inactive slot and I lost root permissions.
Because i don't have the trwp recovery how can I get the permissions back? Can I flash the boot image directly from the magisk app?
Now my OOS is 10.3.12 and i can't find an image boot for this version.
I hope someone can help me thank you.
You have to patch via magisk the boot.img file of the 10.3.12 rom then flash it via adb flash boot_patched.img
Hello,
So my phone was in a recovery boot loop and had to rebuild the boot partition in twrp. So I'm back in my phone now and everything is the same but have lost root. Still have access to twrp. It's been a while since I rooted it and don't have any of the files anymore. What do I need to flash to get root back? Do I need to back up all my data or will it be safe?
I am still running android 9 and oos 9.0.7 and I assume bootloader is still unlocked. Orignally rooted with magisk.
thanks

Damn it, so I booted into twrp and then flashed latest magisk v23 zip but when it finished it said failed to mount partition in red and now the phone just boots to fastboot mode.. I can get back into twrp.. and all my files are still there in file manager.. but it won't boot into my phone.. only fastboot mode. Any advice?
First, boot into TWRP and delete all Magisk Module files and folders:
How to Uninstall Magisk Modules Using TWRP Recovery
Removing the Magisk module manually causes bootloop. You can easily uninstall Magisk modules using TWRP recovery without resetting your device.
www.droidviews.com
I had the same and it seems a module was causing fastboot mode. If that doesn't work try downloading and flashing the stock boot image for your OOS version in TWRP (remember to flash TWRP again before reboot). At least then you will have your phone back.
