Even when i change volume of notification, il there is no music sound, the notification sound did not work.
Full Wipe and flash last XEF (French) ROM G988BXXSCDUJ5 with Odin, and try with a different Google account.

I notice that in the options menu, you can change media volume, ring volume, alarm volume, and notification volume. From what I understand, system sounds such as the lock/unlock noise, audio feedback from item selection, and more, are determined by media volume. Which is the same volume used to play music/video files. I wish they were separate options as sometimes I want my music to play softly but I system sounds to be full volume. Would this be possible in a custom ROM or is it an issue with the hardware?
Have you tried a 3rd part volume manager to see if it works? All of them give you the option to adjust only system volume. I use volume Ace

Hardware is ok. I can play music without any problems. Plug headphones = headphone. Unplug headphones = speaker. No rocket science
Now, xabber, jabiru, trillian produce no sounds. From inside those apps, I can choose the notification sound. It does through system, but i can use total commander, too. When I choose the sound, it plays :/ but when it is supposed to play, afterwards, it doesn't.
I should notice that skype works in tablet mode, only. If I chose phone mode, it will try to play through inner speaker. This tablet only has one loudspeaker.
Maybe I can get a tablet version of xabber and/or trillian? Any other ideas?
Oh, I almost forgot... This device is a titan 7009 (chiney), android 4.0.4

If your android notifications lack sound, try Enabling Notifications:
1) Pull down (smartphone) or open (tablet) the notification drawer.
2) If you can't see the notification slider there, press the configuration button that expands the drawer hosted configurations
3) Move the slider to "ON"
This solves notifications that have no sound... for me at least.
I had ruled out hardware: playing music worked ok.
I had ruled out volume: automateit can configure all volume channels separately.
I had narrowed to notifications: neither custom nor real notifications ever played
Whenever I listed to Spotify using headphones or connecting it to Aux using headphones it pauses the music when a notification is received such as sms or whatsapp message. It plays the notification sound and then it continues the music again.
I am coming from HTC m8, and there under the same scenario it faded the music played the notification meanwhile and volume went back again.
This only occurs when headphones are plugged in. If a notification is received while playing through phone speakers it fades the sound the way it should do.
I am using Spotify as source.
I've read that some has disabled notification sounds completely while headphones are plugged in but that would make me miss any important texts/emails so the work-around is not appreciated in my case.
Another thing noted is that when headphones are used and a notification is played (such as sms received or whatsapp message) the phone plays the sound through it's internal speakers also, same time as my headphones are connected making the surrounding hear me receiving notifications all the time.
Is there any solution to the above two issues?
My Samsung S6 is rooted, and I am also running custom rom XtreStoLite 2.1 (5.1.1).

Today I installed a Touch Operating System Custom ROM and Lewa V5 both Worked fine
But I faced a little Problem with my Handsfree
When I plug Handsfree it shows Icon of handsfree in the notification area when I press the button on handsfree it starts the music player but no sound is heard in handsfree even when I decrease or Increase the Ringtone volume I can hear the Ringtone in handsfree but again when I play Music Player No Sound No Video Volume is heard
I am suspecting that My Mobile Custom ROM has Ringtone Volume and Alarm Volume but Custom ROM maker forgot to include Media Volume so I am unable to Increase the Media Volume Which might be is at Zero Level

when I was streaming music via bluetooth in my car notifications sounds would play over the speakers in my car loudly. When it did this the music volume would drop and the tone would play. Since updating to marshmallow the notification sounds while streaming music via bluetooth are barely audible over the speakers in my car. The volume for ringtone, media, notifications and system are all turned all the way up.
If I get a phone call the music is lowered and only the phone rings instead of the ring coming through the car speakers.
Anyone else notice this or have any idea how to fix this? I've already tried toggling Bluetooth, unpairing and repairing, clearing Bluetooth cache and clearing system cache. I have also done a factory reset after the initial upgrade to 6.0.1
It does this on auxiliary now as well. I have not found a fix.
