Why don't you directly post the method here? The philosophy of this forum does not work like that.

The method is described here on the Chinese forum. Keeping things like this for yourself and asking money doesn't help the community much...
MOD EDIT: Quote deleted since post deleted.
You seem like a very trustworthy and mature person, don't expect anyone to help you with this attitude.
Also you should read the forum rules before posting.

I had a look at that website through google translate, however it's a bit unclear..
I've got an unlocked Pad Pro 2021 TB-J716F on 12.5.126, which as far I could make out is the correct firmware for rooting.
Do you know the actual steps required for rooting?
Thanks

I haven't tried it because I flashed original firmware and relocked my bootloader. Maybe someone else has tried and is willing to share the info.

No worries! Thanks anyway.
If anyone has managed it, would they mind just listing the process.

This is great! I will definitely try this when I have time. Also because I don't care much for widevine anymore because I found a better alternative to Netflix.
I wonder how did you get the ZUI_13.0.346 update because it doesn't show up on my tablets OTA.

No worries, enjoy the update... (btw I was also stumped by the phone verification for that site, however I managed to get a temporary Chinese SMS number via a random site that I googled!)
Just remember you need to come from firmware ZUI_12.6.238 with a locked bootloader for this to work.
(I have the other updates required if you need them, just DM me).
Okay so I just tried this and it worked perfectly!
Also as a little bonus I managed to pass safetynet while unlocked and rooted lol. Although widevine is still L3.
Thanks a lot @tinybilbo for the guide. You should make a how to topic so others can easily find it as well.

Finally got my tablet back after two months of back and fourth from China (long story).
I just wanted to put a bit of an update. The tablet came back with the default firmware and recvied 5 OTA's of differing sizes. The software is now in a place where if English is your native language I'd comfortable recommend this tablet. Every thing seems to work nicely now. Netflix supports Dolby Vision, the security center is working and if you add a third party launcher and deactivate the Chinese apps you'd barely know it wasn't made for your region. It took 3 months from Launch but Lenovo got there in the end.
Having used the tablet for about 4/5 hours straight I can comfortably confirm the Screen is far far better than the P11 Pro. You'll notice on the P11 Pro that pixle arrangement gives a grainy look on some colours most notably red. This does not occur on the P12 Pro. It was worth the wait.
Update. However the below info is still relevant regarding flashing Global ROM's to the CN Tablet.
I have a seperate thread here covering other annoyances. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/no-opencl-or-dts-on-p12-but-present-on-p11-2021.4366861/
Due to these issues I decided to flash to the ROW (international) P12 Pro ROM using the instructions at on this video (using the correct ROM for my device obviously)
THIS PROCESS DOES NOT WORK. DO NOT ATTEMPT THE ABOVE YOU WILL BE STUCK IN THE BOOT LOADER.
I will update this thread if the situation improves!
If anyone can help me locate the chinese stock ROM for this tablet I would greatly appreciate it and will buy you a couple of beers via Paypal.
Moving some of the comments from my thread to this one.
According to the Chinese forums, the protections (against region switch and rollback) were implemented since ZUI 12.6. This was before the release of this device and applies to P11 series as well.
I suppose the bootloader you flashed can detect whether your device is of the right region or not, and will not proceed any further. If that's the case... I think you'll have to wait until someone actually dumped an entire PRC FW (including the bootloader parts), so you can (probably) at least revert the device back to a working state.
Anyone who hasn't OTA upgraded the P12 (XiaoXin Pad Pro 12.6) may try using logcat (or use tools like Fiddler) to obtain some hints about possible whereabouts of full OTA packages for this device. It may be possible to convert a full OTA package to a way usable by QFIL to restore the device. I once tried this to look for hints, but no avail... maybe the OTA servers have changed since then.

Thanks for the update. Yes it's pretty grim. At this point I think I have to send it back to China for Repair or claim on gadget insurance!
Updated first post to reflect the most recent software updates. TLDR go for the Chinese ROM if English is your native language and you want trouble free OTA's.
The data for the Chinese version of the firmware has been uploaded to a Japanese blog.
However, this data does not contain contents.xml and is incomplete.
Can't install it with QFIL as it is.

It can be usable for flashing via fastboot.
Good morning
So I've a xiaoxin pad 11 pro:
Model: tb-j706f
android version: 10
software version: tb-_706f_rf01_201229
ROM: TB-J706F_S240073_201229_ROW
kernel: 4.14.117 from 2020
Widevine: L1
And I whant to update to TB-J706F_S620150_211226_ROW. So my questions are many
-Can i use lenovo sofware to update?
-Do i need to lock or unlock oem bootloader from settings?
-Can only be done using QFIL or other softwares?
-Do i need to find out if it's region lock?
-How to backup this img, if everything goes wrong?
-Do i have to install the original chinese version, or can i just update the international one?
I see alot of threats talking about going from international to chinese, but I like to have play store and keepping widevine lv.1. Without having to do a lot of "work".
I've tried to use the OTA function, but downloads the update (just after my current version) it restart's and gets to the lenovo logo on the screen and reboots. Like a boot loop. I've to manually shutdown the tablet and it's back to normal.
After readding this forum, i still dont see a uniform way to update this device, and more importantly a easy way to do it. Can all of you help me?
- yes
- no
- yes
- even CN versions can be flashed with global rom
- you could still flash an img you download online if something wrongs happen
- it's on your own, if you have L1 with global unless you want latest updates no need to go CN, stay global.
if OTA update doesn't work maybe reset the device or even flash the newest rom available from lolinet then update with OTA.
@melones22 Thanks for the aswers.
Do you know if i download the newest global rom from lolinet, and force install, if i keep my lv1?
if you relock bootloader, likely. personally with natsafety patch + hde etc still l3
be absolute sure that you didn’t modified anything else than flashing before relocking

To flash a ROM you can use QFIL, I never used Lenovo softwaare so I am not sure if you can flash form there only last version or if you have a choice.
Normally you should not be required to use QFIL and you should be able to update with OTA updates.

You should backup QCN with QFIL and all partitions (you can probably exclude vendor and userdata) with QFIL or edl, there is a guide for both methods (I use edl) https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/two-ways-to-backup-tb-j706f-without-unlocking-bootloader.4402799/

You should be able to update your global ROM but since you are having problems I don't exclude you might need to go back to CN ROM before flashing again the Global ROM.

I am not sure what's the problem with your OTA update.
I would suggest to:
Backup your QCN and all partitions first
Open your QCN with QCNView and check the region in NV Item 6858
If your region is 02 is Global and OTA update should work, so maybe try a factory reset and see if after OTA update works.
If it's 00 (region unlocked) or 01 (China) that might be the reason OTA updates are not working.
Edit
I read again the version you have now and it's quite old, that probably does not have any region lock.
In the one tablet I had from the shop with Chinese ROM I flashed TB-J706F_S250260_210804_ROW, that set it as global region and then from that I run OTA updates.
So I think you should backup as I said before and then flash TB-J706F_S250260_210804_ROW, make sure to select the right settings in QFIL and NEVER check "Reset state machine".

Hi Mr. Crayon,
Is there any guide in how to do as what you mentioned above ? I'm quite new to this 'manual update' and still learning. Would really appreciate your help on this. My Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2020 (TB-J706F_S268018_210731_ROW) is still running on android 10 and my device is not certified by play protect. T.T
Hello.
Thanks @MrCrayon, but i never has able to use qfil to backup my device. To complicated for me. But thanks for the help.
So what i did to update my tablet. After feeling the same way @shaoki92 , i just tried to use lenovo tools. And... puff... update done.
No problems what so ever,
Did not lose L1
And did not have to mess with bootloader or region lock.
But i understand that i took a big risk. The tablet could've become just a paper weight. But until now working fine. With new android and everything.

Hi front3,
May i ask how do you update using lenovo tools ? Thanks
Im no expert that so ever. But i can tell you that i did.
Install lenovo assistance, on windows.
Used the charging cable of the tablet to connect to pc.
Launch the app
Connect to the device via app
(And i dont remember now, but i think its recue my device, and update, inside the app)
The app gives you a warning about using the tool on CH devices, and i took the risk.
Check the firmware version that the app gives you, and what it the lastest that has been deploid. Just to be sure. And do it if you dont mind taking the risk, do it.
In my case, the version that the app recomended has not on lolinet at that time. It only show up there, weeks later. But because the app connects to lenovo servers directly, i think it was safe.
Be careful because you can brick the device. And like @MrCrayon explained, i had one very old firmware, so xiaoxin didnt have the same "security" feactures has the newer devices. So maybe that is why it worked.
Attempt to convert Xiaoxin Pad PRO 2022 1300Tver to Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 using LMSA and the process was successfully completed.
When booting up, the Lenovo logo is followed by the warning in the picture and the power supply drops out.
The bootloader and OEM locks have not been unlocked.
I am stuck with a Mediatek product with little information and no QFIL available.
In the meantime, I can enter fastboot mode, recovery mode and META mode.
I wish I could unlock the bootloader or change the region code, can anyone help?
Or can anyone release the stock roms of the zui14 Xiaoxin Pad PRO 2022 1300Tver?

Unfortunately, QFIL should not be available on devices with MediaTek.
(Needless to say, QFIL stands for "Qualcomm" Flash Image Loader.)
Therefore, a new method, different from the existing Lenovo tab method, would be needed?
How to suck out the relevant part of the region code in MediaTek, rewrite it and burn it back.
Anyone has any success that they can write a guide?
i am too , boot unlocked but need solution for change region

Unfortunately this operation had to fail, you somehow flashed FW for Qualcomm SD870 SOC over MediaTek 1300T SOC - ouch ... (oh, I see what you did ... hmm … Well it said clearly in RSA that tablets sold in Chinese mainland are not supported) best luck for you, if you find solution how to fix it please share it here ... will be definitely useful for the others... thanks in advance ... I have 1300T (Chinese version - yep ... so I will not try this) version for cca 2 days, but without root or some FW leakage from Lenovo side, well have to wait.
Please tell me. Which tablet is better to take, pure Chinese or reflashed by a Chinese as if for a global FW (maybe it's just a modification, not a real global FW)?

If it is really the P11 Rom i would Go for it. It should have a User management, a working desktop mode and Google Play Services.
I don't know what happens to widevine level or other streaming relevant things, i don't use the tab for watching movies

I got my from giztop.com original Chinese with added Google Play store by the seller. Whatever they did break the FW somehow (but OTA update was working) and I had to do Factory reset... After factory reset I found out that Play store got deleted in the process... fortunately I was able to reinstall store manually...
Which one to take will be always at the end your choice, just consider fact that all MediaTek (ROW or China) versions have currently broken HDR playback, Qualcomm devices should be fine...
Have you used the following image (including flash tools) for your conversion?

Do not burn Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 roms on Xiaoxin Pad PRO 2022 1300Tver. It will not boot. Currently, there is no public information on how to globalize it, and although AliExpress vendors seem to have successfully globalized it, I don't trust them until I get information from the buyer.
On a different note, has anyone with a Xiaoxin Pad PRO 2022 1300Tver been able to back up their ROMs using the mediatek tool?
If so, can anyone upload the backup file?
My unbootable Xiaoxin Pad PRO 2022 1300Tver is currently unable to do anything. I am stuck because Lenovo China has not released any update method or files at all.

Hard to say, can't test it as I don't have MediaTek device anymore, so somebody else may have to try and report here...
Hello,
Does anyone have any guidance for flashing a custom recovery on Lenovo P11 (J606L LTE - not P11 Plus or Pro). I have tried the available TWRP files for other similar devices but could not make it work. Thanks in advance.

Just in case someone else is looking for this (cause i had a hard time)? I had tried sideloader before but it didnt work, i guess it didnt because i didnt place the GSI ROM in the SD.
Now i placed the rom there and dsu sideloader ran like a charm. Now i have android 13 with 40 GB for user data running in this dual boot, so when android 14 comes out i’ll just re-run sideloader again .
