Question Switch firmware versions // Remove China censorship - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE

Hi everyone,
i'm currently living as an expat in China and will do so for the next two years.
I bought a Samsung Tab 7 FE here in China and would like to switch my firmware version to the international or european one to get rid of the censorship and not being able to install certain apps like Maps etc.
I've read through the recent rooting thread, unlocked my bootloader and got Odin and Frija downloaded.
What i can't find is the international firmware version of my device.
To make it clear:
Model Number: SM-T735C
CHC: CHC
Frija suggests this file:
SM-T735C_1_20211123165801_q8v4albsaf_fac.zip.enc4
But this will probably just update my firmware to the latest China firmware, right?
I also looked on sammobile but they seem to not know my device...
It should now be possible to do what i'm trying to do, can somebody give me some advice how to proceed?
Thanks in advance, have been waiting since June to get rid of this firmware

Did you ever figure this out? I'm in the same position now and was looking for an answer to this too.

The "C" means you have a special hardware variant for China, it will not work with non-Chinese firmware. Your only option is a custom ROM, and with Samsung's recent moves against those, good luck.

Hardwarewise it's exactly the same, just got the restrictions on the software side. Unfortunately i've not figured it out yet @citizenjack, currently i'm using it only for media where i works just fine. I think sooner or later someone will come up with a solution

you can try this

Can you explain why you think this could work @chsey1 ? I'm afraid i'd brick my device, not even the model is the same.

This won't work as it's the "C" variant and it won't accept this firmware.

How to flash back to stock software on D6603 - Bell Canada?

Hi folks, I've been updating my phone using the latest rom I can find on this site for my rooted (bootloader unlockable) Bell mobility D6603
One of the things that has been driving me crazy is that I always see the notification that a new software update is available but it can never 'verify' the software for me to download it. So I end up trying to find the equivalent on here which is getting really annoying. Also I'm thinking of selling this phone so I would like to find a way to stop these messages and to see if going back to a stock rom will allow the phone to update the standard way so I don't get emails from the buyer claiming I sold him a busted handset.
If anyone can help me out with either a way to get the phone to update without having to do it manually, or a way to flash a stock rom that does, that would be much appreciated.
Here's a screenshot of my current install:

The reason it cant verify the update is because you are rooted.
Find and flash a stock ftf for your device through flashtool and you will be fully unrooted and be able to download updates ota.

Yeah, I having this same exact issue. It's driving me nut because all I want is my stock s7 back :crying:
So after three days of constant research, I have come to the conclusion that I'm slow. This entire time I was trying to flash unroot a phone with links to firmware from forum post made four months ago. Im pretty sure we can see the problem in that. So long story short I found this beautiful website with (great) download speeds called sammobile, from there I was able to find the latest firmware that led me to bring my beautiful phone back to stock goodness! So in my concluding statement I have to thank you xda for actually making me learn something.
I can't put a link but for you sfear2ugf just go to sammobile and look up G930T in the searchbar and use the latest kernel.

Discover model (verizon/international) by software?

Hello,
I'm thinking about buying an used Pixel, international version at my local market.
He doesn't have the box anymore, what I have is the screenshot below.
Is there a way to discover the version by these? Or by software? (I can ask for more info)

If it's international or Verizon.
How do you know that the bootloader is unlocked?
well i mean in the question you stated its international firstly, but i am 99% certain for it to be running OPR6 that has to be manually flashed which requires bootloader unlock. Cant say as to whether or not this is the international version but it is definitely the google play store version and not the verizon one.

Just asking sincerely, since I've never bothered opting in to the betas, but can't users with the Verizon locked version opt into the beta releases through the web - in which case they then receive an OTA to the beta, not manually flash?

hmm actually maybe but im not too sure, if thats the case then no you cant tell through this image per se but googling the baseband and build number may tell you what version it is too
if the OEM unlocking option is greyed out as shown in the screenshot then the phone is very probably from Verizon.

Where can i download the latest application? I have an older version I found on the internet that I am about to use to attempt unlocking a Samsung Emerge SM-J327P. Would love to have the newest out. I see a different (looks newer) version in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQXvCl0ZYFQ
This handset (J327P) is a hard one to unlock. I already tried the bit3 firmware / combo flash method but MY Z3X SamsungToolPRO wouldn't read the SPC / MSL for some reason. I don't know of anything else that will. My Octoplus box doesn't seem to be able to do it either unless i'm missing something. So trying this solution on the firmware indicated in the video I have already flashed. Hopefully all will work!
Hi there. Just want to say Hats off to CdmaDev Yemen Team, Mysterious Dev, and the rest of you guys lately. You have really pulled through with Sprint with their latest RSA in place and all. Not to mention Tracfone and StraightTalk!! I speak with some of your team now and hope to work on a few things in the future. I started the J337P unlock here to see if i could do this one and you guys already had it done. =] BillA and Austin? i think mentioned on GSM-F.

I have a SM-J337P phone that I need to unlock from the Sprint network. The cdma-yemen.com website is gone. Do you have a copy of the software mentioned in the first post or some other free software to do it?

Question Downgrade from UI 5.1 to UI 5.0

Good day all,
I'm currently running the latest firmware update for the SM-S908W model One UI 5.1 Feb 2023.
The notification icon pallet is driving me nuts and I know there are work arounds, but I am interested in downgrading from One UI 5.1 to One UI 5.0.
Is simply flashing the stock firmware in Odin capable of accomplishing this task or is there a possibility of bricking or other unforeseen issues?
If it is possible, can someone direct me to a guide?
Please and thank you!
You can usually use Odin to downgrade, provided your bootloader is unlocked. Keep in mind that certain bootloader versions will not permit downgrading.

Thank you!
I used this video as a guide. I can confirm I have successfully downgraded to One UI 5.0!
Make sure you download the latest Samsung USB Drivers (https://developer.samsung.com/android-usb-driver) so your device is recognized by Odin.
Cheers

You can downgrade as long as the binary is the same.
You don't need to unlock the bootloader
