Question Banking app not working (root detected) - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hello!
I was having trouble with my banking app because root was detected.
I changed to PixelExperiencePlus a while back and the banking app was working fine until I did an OTA update. Then it detected my device was rooted and stopped working. I tried to search the forums but I couldn't filter only results from this Poco forum. Could anybody help me as to what I should do or link me to a proper article?
I don't have Magisk installed by the way.

its really not a good idea to run your money accounts and stuff on rooted or unlocked phones its really bad idea anyway

You have to install Magisk and hide the root for your banking app.

Is magisk on my phone systemless?

Hello. I am new to the xda forums. I have successfully rooted my Coolpad catalyst 3622a Android 5.1.1 with kingo root. I then downloaded magisk manager and upgraded to magisk. I used kingo superuser app to remove root which got rid of kingo 14 su and left magisk allowing me to pass safety net with magisk hide so I could play Pokemon go. I was wanting to get systemless Xposed framework on my device again but am not sure I can and play Pokemon go. Is it possible that with magisk 13.3 I can use flashfire in order to flash the Xposed framework on my phone and still play Pokemon go? I can pass safety net check from magisk manager and from saftynet check online. I do not have a custom recovery and am running rooted stock rom. I have had Xposed on this phone before. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe, there are no guarantees. Just try it and see for yourself. If it doesn't work you can always just uninstall Xposed.

Make sure you download the Xposed uninstaller.zip, if you get a bootloop from something you do in Xposed, boot to recovery and flash the uninstaller.zip.

Thanks. So far when it flashes the zip from magisk manager it says failed and doesn't seem to work. If I go to the Xposed installer from the magisk thread it says wrong arcitecture selected installing this could harm your device. IDK what to do from here.

It says systemless Xposed Xposed SDK 22 for Android 5.1. It says in the thread it work universally for all arm devices. I know the official Xposed framework works because I used to have it on my device.

Are you using the SDK 22?
I'm not familiar with magisk, only Xposed. Because of this, I'm not certain where your issue is.
From some of the tips and suggestions in that thread, I think it would be better if you posted the issue in that thread and provided a logcat for the developer or members there so they can help you fix the issue.

You havent successfully done anything. How did you make #/System R/W? You didnt, it may be "rooted" but you cant do crap with it. All you did was install bloatware and add on your device. Even with the OEM Bootloader unlocked in Settings>Developer> you cant remove any System apps, and that device is JUNK. I had one I tried fixing for a friend. Sell it, and buy a Used S6, or Nexus 6, they are BMW's to the Coolpad's Yugo. Stop playing Pokeman and learn how to use ADB. Your time will be better served.
* About 20 people asked for a copy of the Coolpad 3622a stock firmware and not one of you lazy bastards helped them out? I remember XDA being a site with integrity. Maybe noone intelligent owns a Coolpad...

I can and have uninstalled system apps on my device. Also have Xposed framework. As per your first question even I'll admit I don't know. I used a one click root app and then magisk manager. I do not know how to get the info for the stock firmware or I would gladly post it on xda. I know I can use my root functionality because titanium backup, link to sd, greenify, and Xposed framework and modules for Xposed work perfectly for their intintion.

With lollipop, you have to flash Xposed framework via TWRP. If you're rooted, you can try using Fireflash or Flashify to flash the framework but there is no guarantee that it will work, some devices can flash via the apps and some can't.

Regarding your comments about them being rooted but not being able to do anything with it....what in the world are you even talking about? What does mounting r/w permissions have to do with using magisk and Xposed?

Google pay error

Running stock ROM not rooted, getting this error? .. bootloader is unlocked though
Google has Google pay check for an unlocked bootloader. If you are unlocked it will fail, you do not have to be rooted just bootloader unlocked for Safteynet to fail. You might as well install Magisk and let it hide that you are unlocked and rooted if you wish to use Google Pay. If you do not want to root, then just relock the bootloader, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE STOCK RECOVERY AND NO CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED. Otherwise you will brick your device. Also, be aware that relocking your bootloader will wipe all internal data off the phone so backup any photos, files, anything of importance before relocking bootloader.

What are you talking about? I've been using Magisk with passing safetynet since it came out a couple years ago. I just used Google Pay times today with no issues.
The issue is Google will fail Safetynet if you just have an unlocked bootloader and no magisk installed to pass the safetynet checks.

please dont give users the wrong impression
Magisk DOES hide it.
i have an unlocked bootloader, TWRP, MAGISK, and a custom kernel installed
and ive been using google pay for the past week without issues.
Why would I give users wrong impression? It's happening to me!!! Just because it doesn't happen to you or others then it cannot be true?
I've also an unlocked bootloader, TWRP and Magisk installed and Magisk is not hiding specific apps. Simple as that.

Then Magisk must not be installed properly. You must have done something wrong is all I can think of. I use Google pay 2-5 times a day without issue and on the OnePlus 6 since launch, zero issues.

Done that, but made no difference. Just reading on another thread that it appears to be an issue for many.
Magisk Hide works fine out of the box (no alterations) with Google Pay for me.
Historically, when it fails it's because Magisk is out of date.
hallo dare, if you want help, post your Magisk Manager's landing page, then another of your test results. Past that, you should head over to the Magisk XDA thread.
Edit:
I guess I forgot to mention I am on the BETA channel - so not exactly without alteration.

I flashed the 16.4.
I'm running 16.42. In Magisk.
Open Magisk Manager.

Settings.
Update Channel -> Beta
Check for Updates -> Enabled
Close Magisk Manager completely.
Reopen.

PS4 Remote Play ROOT ERROR

Guys I tried hiding root with magisk hide and I also temporarily uninstalled busybox but still getting this error which is something to do with root or DRM?
Anyone know about this, tried looking up about this and just got articles telling me to use magisk hide
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1in8dRbrvuB4fBw1TgBe_O9w5YmBpJiOO/view?usp=sharing
Also could someone be kind and install the app from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay&hl=en_GB and tell me how it goes?
I have it working you have to follow the magiak canary instructions and hide magisk manager.

Root access

hello to all of you,
So i know there are probably many threads about this, but i just cant get my xz premium rooted. i've been trying for a while now.
Last time i rooted a phone was in the windows mobile 6 time lol.
So i tried to unlock the bootloader with the official sony guide on their site bit it didnt work.
i tried some apps like kingroot and oneclickroot but i quickly found that kingroot only gets adware on my phone and oneclickroot is payed and hell i aint paying for nothing.
I tried some manual methods but also these i cant get to work.
So is there any simple thread on how to root my xz premium ?
side note:
my volume up button is broken but i still got it into fastboot so i got this far.
thanks in advantage.
So now my kbc bank app says my phone is rooted and i can not use it anymore while my phone isnt rooted

Depends. Google checks for root access with "SafetyNet" checks. The makers of magisk are trying to be always ahead of Google, but it's a head to head race and sometimes you will have to wait for a magisk update before you can use banking apps again.
Edit: Banking apps use Googles SafetyNet to check for root access, so things like TAN generators only work if you're always up to date.
