How To Guide Calibration of the PMIC (Vayu/Bhima/Surya) via fastboot. - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

HONESTLY READ THIS WARNING ONCE!
- CALIBRATION OF THE IC, WOULD NEITHER RESULT IN A HARD BRICK/PREVENT BRICK. AS TO BE CLEAR WITH THIS *HOW TO THREAD*, IS ONLY MENT FOR PEOPLE HAVING PARTIALLY BUGGY PMIC, FACING AFOREMENTIONED ISSUES, HAVING NOT SO GREAT BB LIFE, etc etc. IF YOUR UNIT HAS A RIGGED IC (mind you) nothing can save you from the catastrophe, rather than the guys at SC.
Just to be clear calibrating your IC is completely a safe thing to do, unless you're *someone that finds hard time reading the entire THREAD and jump right into the process* as said such comments will be ignored.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently there have been numerous cases of poco x3 pro (indian variant -Bhima) bricking itself out of nowhere, while charging, while being idle or in some rare occasions while playing heavy games like BGMI/PUBG, CODM, GENSHIN, etc etc.
Usually when the device is on the verge of getting bricked it gives a fair symptoms like (glitchy screen, lags, unresponsiveness, random reboots out of any prior initiated action).
THE PMIC USED IN POCO X3 PRO is -
QUALCOMM™ POWER SOLUTIONS PM-8150L (PMIC) for SM8150-AD (SNAPDRAGON 855+/860 SOC(system-on-chip) )
*SOME MILD SYMPTOMS -
- LAGGING
- HEATING EVEN WHILE DOING BASIC STUFF
- RANDOM REBOOTS.
*SOME SEVERE SYMPTOMS -
- GLITCHY SCREEN (GREY SCREEN, WITH PARRALEL RETRACING LINES)
- FREEZING OFTEN
- TOUCH ISSUES
- PROXIMITY AND LIGHT SENSOR DYING OCASSIONALLY (WITH AN INTERVAL OF 2-3 DAYS or daily after every 2-4 hours)
*HOW WOULD CALIBRATION HELP?
- DISPLAY APPROPRIATE BATTERY % LEFT
- SENSOR DEAD ISSUE IS PERMANENTLY FIXED (UNTIL YOU RESET THE CALIBRATION).
- IN SOME VAYU VARIANTS( WITH HUAXING PANELS, might fix the issue with ESD in the Digitiser panel of the display) check for yourself if it works in Tianma or not.
- SPEAKERS SOUND GREAT.
- THERE IS A VERY LESS CHANCE OF KILLING YOUR BATTERY IF YOU ARE A USER THAT CHARGES THEIR DEVICE AFTER DEVICE HITS 0% (since we all know the device might do dead if it brought down to zero) (as PMIC is buggy).
- Charging decimals start to appear always (might be something most of px3p users want for a long time).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* WARNING -
- You're doing this at your own risk, on an account of any unpredicted outcome caused due to lack of reading the entire steps, will be ignored.
- Im not responsible for any hard bricks, soft bricks, you are doing this at you sole risk and you will be held responsible for your actions.
* Pre_requisites -
- Stock charger and cable.
- The device itself xD.
- Some patience and a bit of brain.
*Method -
- use you device and let it drain out all the juice and drop down to 1%
- just as the shutdown indicator starts (giving 30 seconds) to plug your device
- Plug it in and charge it all up to 94.50%
- While plugged in force reboot into fastboot mode (volume - (down) + Power key)
- As soon as device boots into fastboot (turn off the charger brick from the outlet) (DO NOT UNPLUG!)
- NOW TURN ON THE CHARGER again and force boot into recovery mode and from there boot to system from recovery options.
- As soon as you boot you will notice different battery percentage, probably 100%.
- USE YOUR DEVICE UNTIL IT HITS 25%
- AS IT HITS 20%, FORCE BOOT AGAIN INTO FASTBOOT AGAIN (THIS TIME WITHOUT USING CHARGER) AND DO THE SAME AGAIN [FROM FASTBOOT TO RECOVERY AND THEN SYSTEM AS MENTIONED ABOVE, BUT WITHOUT USING CHARGER THIS TIME)
- Now you will notice different battery percentage again after reboot.
- Drain down battery to 15% and charge it up to 85% and use the device, as now you have successfully calibrated the PMIC.
Important-
After this calibration you are only allowed to fully charge once in two weeks or three to avoid issues.
- My personal recommendations are
(15 - 85%) rule while you're home.
(20-95%) rule while you have to go out for work/institution.
- warning (only tested in stock MIUI, any other roms are not tested, so you can try it for yourself and you have been warned!.)
- Tested Personally on both (VAYU [GLOBAL] and BHIMA[INDIAN] variants)
Vayu - 6GB/128GB (HUAXING) - RJUMIXM [12.5.7.0 STABLE] [13.0.3.0]
Bhima - 8GB/128GB (TIANMA) - RJUINXM [12.5.5.0 STABLE] [13.0.1.0]
* How to check?
- if you previously had issues with sensors, they will be fine and if it doesn't and keeps dying repeat the process again with proper reading of the steps this time.
- ESD issues fixed in TP, (GHOST TOUCH) will be less or maybe fixed permanently. [ Not confirmed]
- Speakers sound louder.
- less heating.
Update :
Gyro Delay is also fixed.
zoomed in vision of the QUALCOMM SM8150L PMIC picture below.
Update Feb 9th.
- Tested on Arrow OS, PE+, MIUI PULSE, MIUI BGST (MINT BGST), GLADIATOR OS, (more to be tested and added)
- All kernels have been used and checked, (thanks to the testers out there for checking/verifying).
Thanks are appreciated.
Help me pls i did every step but my charging Percentage is stuck on 84 ever since even using it continuesoly pls help me
Thank you for the great guide.
Thanks to you, I was able to calibrate the PMIC in crdroid as well.
By the way, why is it possible to do the calibration with this procedure?
And should I calibrate it more than once?
Probably no, since you just calibrated the IC, the drop in charge is nothing to worry since its the original %amount of juice your device has irl.
Doing it often wont affect anything,
Once a while in two weeks is quite ideal if you want your device to serve you longer.
Bro my phone goes to 100 percent after last step. It went up to 100 from 20 percent i think there is something wrong or everything is fine please tell me.
Is there a way to apply the fix after the phone died?
Can it fix this kind of issue? All of the sensors are disabled and not available.
Is there any chance of reseting the calibration if I reset my device?
Bro what do you mean "use your device until it hits 25%"?
Until Remaining 25% ? or from 100% to 75% remaining?
Which are the safe operating battery operating voltage range ?
Mine is at 4,327V while charger is unplugged (at 4657 / 5160 mAh) it seem to be a bit to high.
Anywhere between 3.9~4.5v
4.67 is the highest, imo keeping your phone at any above 4.57v puts undue stress both on cell and the pmic.
Use unbothered till 25%, the moment it hits 25 keep an eye every moment until its 20.
No.
How often should i do this? i did this this twice already but everytime i fastboot the battery percentage always changes, doesn't that mean the pmic is still not calibrated?
Everytime i charge to 85%, after i unplug the charger, the battery will drain very fast even if im only using facebook and when i fastboot the battery will increase again
Aparentemente ha habido numerosos casos de poco x3 pro (variante india -Bhima) bloqueándose de la nada, mientras se carga, mientras está inactivo o en algunas raras ocasiones mientras juega juegos pesados como BGMI/PUBG, CODM, GENSHIN, etc.
Por lo general, cuando el dispositivo está a punto de bloquearse, muestra síntomas como (pantalla con fallas, retrasos, falta de respuesta, reinicios aleatorios de cualquier acción iniciada anteriormente).
EL PMIC UTILIZADO EN POCO X3 PRO es -
SOLUCIONES DE ENERGÍA QUALCOMM™ PM-8150L (PMIC) para SM8150-AD (SNAPDRAGON 855+/860 SOC (sistema en chip))
* ALGUNOS SÍNTOMAS LEVES -
- RETRASO
- CALENTAMIENTO INCLUSO MIENTRAS HACE COSAS BÁSICAS
- REINICIO ALEATORIO.
* ALGUNOS SÍNTOMAS GRAVES -
- PANTALLA GLITCHY (PANTALLA GRIS, CON LÍNEAS DE RETRACCIÓN PARALELAS)
- CONGELACIÓN CON FRECUENCIA
- CUESTIONES DE TOQUE
- SENSOR DE PROXIMIDAD Y LUZ MUERTE OCASIONALMENTE (CON UN INTERVALO DE 2-3 DÍAS o diariamente después cada 2-4 horas)
*¿CÓMO AYUDARÍA LA CALIBRACIÓN?
- MOSTRAR EL % DE BATERÍA APROPIADO QUE QUEDA
- EL PROBLEMA DEL SENSOR MUERTO SE SOLUCIONA PERMANENTEMENTE (HASTA QUE RESTABLEZCA LA CALIBRACIÓN).
- EN ALGUNAS VARIANTES DE VAYU (CON PANELES HUAXING, podría solucionar el problema con ESD en el panel Digitalizador de la pantalla) compruebe usted mismo si funciona en Tianma o no.
- LOS ALTAVOCES SON GENIAL.
- HAY MUY MENOS POSIBILIDADES DE MATAR SU BATERÍA SI USUARIO QUE CARGA SU DISPOSITIVO DESPUÉS DE QUE EL DISPOSITIVO LLEGUE AL 0% (ya que todos sabemos que el dispositivo podría morir si se redujera a cero) (ya que PMIC tiene errores).
- Los decimales de carga comienzan a aparecer siempre (puede ser algo que la mayoría de los usuarios de px3p quieran durante mucho tiempo).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* ADVERTENCIA -
* Pre_requisitos -
Vayu - 6GB/128GB (HUAXING) - RJUMIXM [12.5.7.0 ESTABLE] [13.0.3.0]
Bhima - 8GB/128GB (TIANMA) - RJUNNXM [12.5.5.0 ESTABLE] [13.0.1.0]
* ¿Como revisar?
[ No confirmado]
- Los altavoces suenan más fuerte.
- Menos calefacción.
Actualizar :
View attachment 5524227

[Q] Lenovo p780c

Greetings everyone
I was hoping you could spare a minute to help me out to find rom (stock or any other) for Lenovo P780c (Fake) (bottom sticker on the phone claims it is Royalstar RSD-V88 but I tried to download ROM for that model and it did not load).
Right now phone does not boot at all (when power is switched phone vibrates shortly but nothing comes on), when battery is unplugged my PC detects MKT preloader.
Here is the pictures and phone description

Energy problems - Ulefone Be Touch 2 [Auto turns off]

¡Gracias!
ENGLISH:
Hi there!
Soon time ago, like few months, I bought Ulefone Be touch 2, and...
My phone turns off after using it like 15 minutes, and when I boot it again, it does the same.
It's happening to me since 2 weeks ago, and I would know if u think it's about battery problem (I can replace it) or its chipset problems (phone circuits).
I've never damaged it.
EDIT: I've wiped battery stats, and it persists.

Ayudaaa!!

mod edit
I need help the cell is heated but not so exaggerated peronsi is annoying that is not normal there are times that heat and sometimes not and depending on theorcentale that is found believe that the battery or there should be a problem on the plate? When it is disabled the Wi-Fi remains tivio and wears a little.
It is also loaded at 100% but it goes down rapidly until 93% and there it goes normal until it reaches 60% heat and reaches 40% and the temperature is lowered considerably until it reaches 18% which is already heating again.
Help!

LG D337 failed to boot after trying to format by recovery and failed to restore from ROM

Good morning! , I'm going to talk about a problem when installing a rom on the “LG L Prime D337”, I hope
That the community is strong and active enough to have the answer, I hope to fix my problem and eventually help other users.
It turns out that a customer came with an error where the cell phone got stuck in the logo (popular brick) after trying to format, it should be just a simple case of reinstalling the rom but everything went wrong, here we go:
1st I went to a popular website and through the IMEI (it is under the cell phone battery) I looked for the most recent type and version of the room.

LG D337 Download the latest version of firmware | OS Version: Android 5.0.x Lollipop | Firmware version: D33720b_00 | BRA - Fan club LG-firmwares
lg-firmwares.com
2nd in the image you can see the firmware version in (case “D33720B_00”),
Still in the images below, notice that I searched with the number and noticed that there are similar versions, in some foreign forums I found that the “D335” is also compatible with the device.
In the images, notice that there are still other compatible variations on some sites I found out that it has Lolipop and Kitkat versions of this firmware, for safety I downloaded it too.
3rd I disabled all background apps, configured my antivirus to not conflict and used the “LGUP” software, noticed a message on the side below “Model” in the program (in this case a message indicating that it does not recognize “unknown” ).
LG Flash Tool Free Download - Official Download Links
LGUP tool is the latest version of LG Flash Tool that allows users to flash stock firmware on LG smartphones and tablet devices. Download LG UP tool 2018 from the official download links.
lgflash.com
And with that the lg up doesn't open at all, so I had to look for another way.
On other forums and even around here I found that a dll has to be added to the program as the ones in it are wrong, this dll makes the program recognize the device, but unfortunately I couldn't find such a file so after the step below it was gone that option.
4° I installed the "LG mobile Support Tool" I connected the cable to the device in download mode and the program recognized and gave the device model, then I used an option in the software to search for its drive.
Download LG Mobile Support Tool 1.8.9.0
Download LG Mobile Support Tool - Grab the latest updates for your LG mobile phone by simply hooking it to your PC, scanning for available updates, and performing the upgrade of drivers in little time
www.softpedia.com
After downloading and installing I went back to the LGUP and nothing came of it, I noticed some errors in the MTP drive, but in internet videos I found it to be a common error and everything worked ok in the videos without the drive, something I find strange being the one of “Media Transfer Protocol”.
Connected to the pc press volume + & POWER
The unrecognized device must be what makes the LGUP not work but I can't fix it, I've done everything.
5° The “LG Flash Tool 2014” is the best in case I didn't find other versions of the rom for other versions of the app (but extracting the rom the files open and can be used in Flash Tool 2018 which was what I had tested later but failed)
In LG Flash Tool 2014 I did the procedure, put the most current rom inside the app, opened it, connected the device in download mode to the PC, selected the rom in the software, left the recommended settings for it, and started.
In the penultimate and most important option, the cell phone has the port connected and the signal will start, but then it stops out of nowhere and the program gives an error, I wait a little and confirm again and again and it doesn't pass 5% , I tried several other roms and nothing, another version of the app and nothing, it always crashes in this part.
I also used other less popular software
but he failed miserably.
Now I'm here waiting for feedback on the case I hope to find a solution
Below are the tested roms :')

oops!, we have a problem, it doesn't go into recovery mode, to install a custom recovery on it there are some steps you have to do with it working normally, I don't know methods to do this in download mode, and its recovery. . well it doesn't exist, if only there was a TWRP that was in kdz format to try, but I think it's a lot of travel, do you know any way to install a custom TWRP with it in this state?

Has anyone managed to fix the problem of no touchscreen and battery after updating firmware?
I have tried everything from trying to use Linux - fwupdmgr to replacing the Winbond bios chip on the motherboard
The touch firmware will not install. It shows on screen during boot up:
Please wait We are installing a system update
(Twice but no progress bar)
Then in device manager it says device couldn’t start code 10 - attempt to change attributes to memory that has not been committed.
Status attempted 0xc000002D
(Which I believe is access denied)
I really need someone expert help in this matter.
Hi.
I have the Surface Pro 6 too. Touch does not work even in bios uefi. It's not a hardware issue. I think it's from the bios. Is it possible to go back to the first version in Bios Uefi? Did you solve your problem?
Hi
No didn’t solve it yet. But I believe it’s not possible to go back as the firmware isn’t available on Microsoft website anymore.
Does your battery still work as mine turns off as soon as you disconnect adapter.
I have even changed the bios chip with a brand new one and it still didn’t work!
Where are you based?

Hola
