Polish ROM or Polish dictionary (xT9)

How do I get Polish dictionary (xT9) on my Magic?
Is there any possibility to get Polish ROM (from Orange)?
I bought my Magic from Callme in Denmark (old Debitel) it has no Google logo on the back and its English language. T9 has swedish, danish, norwegian, english

Try to install this but but check your board version 32A or 32B. I'm using it on 32B device and it is the best rom tested by be.
btw. Could some tell me one info about android ROMs for Magic. Rom is related with board 32A or 32B ?

Spróbuj zainstalować tego romika co podałem. U mnie działa super ale telefon mam brandowany przez google 32B. Wesję sprawdzisz sobie w bootloaderze (wyłącz tel., przytrzymaj VolDown i naciśnij power). Do końca nie wiem jak jest z jest z romami czy można ładować na oba rodzaje...

I second that. I like this ROM very much. It's a pity it doesn't have more locales.

same issue is in Cyanogenmods - a lots of locales are missing.

I agree with you... I am well english-spoken, but I would like to have full polish localisation in my G1. We should considere to organize the polish translation group. What do you think?
Zgadzam się z przedmówcą. Mimo, iż sprawnie władam angielskim, wolałbym, aby moje G1 miało pełna polską lokalizację. Może powinniśmy rozważyć utworzenie grupy tworzącej polską lokalizację? Co wy na to?

While this is not entirely what you're asking for it is possible to get Polish dictionary/language prediction using HTC touch keyboard (HTC IME).
Just tried it and it successfully predicted "Może powinniśmy" using XT9.
Install custom locale
http://folk.ntnu.no/sibtehai/CustomLocale.apk
run the app and add "pl" and "pl_PL" manually. Long press pl_PL and choose apply. Restart your phone and it should work right away (not with the standard android keyboard though).

As not-polish you do not understand problem. It is not a problem of keyboard, but translations of Cyanogen e.g. In every next edition the translation are worst. HTC IME works fine... I just would like to get "Uruchom ponownie", not "Restart". That it's.

I don't uderstand problems with polish translation - we are smart, android is very simple - how many from us (people from PL) will use it? The game is not worth the candle.
IMO If someone can flash custom rom they should know english.

A few years ago I've translated the Epocware symbian applications but than they gave me only xls files with strings.
I don't know anything about translatting android apps because I don't know which files correspond to language files...
any instructions will be very usefull...

It is not a problem of unknowing english. I speak english, but still I prefere polish in my phone. Just 'cose I am Polish. By the way... I am not "polaczek" but Polish.
It colleague has any problem with his nationality, with using the polish language - it is his problem, not my or other.
Still I think, we should to start project of native translation of eg. CyanogenMod - most popular G1 ROM.
To nie jest problem nieznajomości angielskiego. Mówię po angielsku, lecz mimo to wolę język polski w moim telefonie. Tylko dla tego, że jestem Polakiem. Tak poza wszystkim - jestem Polakiem, nie "polaczkiem". Jeśli kolega ma jakiś problem ze swoją narodowością, z używaniem języka polskiego - to jego problem, nie mój lub innych.
Nadal uważam, że powinniśmy utworzyć grupę tłumaczącą na przykład CyanogenMod - najbardziej popularny ROM na G1.

i'ts no problem - learn how to do it and just do it.
IMO there is small part o users from PL that they need polish translation of roms. This is mostly cosmetic thing.
let's go further - why only Cyanogen's Roms? maybe all of them?
It's too many roms, builds changing so fast - if you start translating you will see that is only a tip of the iceberg - it's hard to translete complete rom with all options.
PS: I don't have problem with my nationality - i just say that "we" (Polish) are small group on XDA.
Anyway - i wish you good luck with translations.

to nie problem - naucz się jak to zrobić i po prostu to zrób.
Moim zdaniem mało osób przesiadujących na XDA (a więc i znających romy z tąd) potrzebuje tłumaczeń. To głównie jest kosmetyka.
Idźmy dalej, dlaczego tylko Cyana Romy? może wszystkie?
Jest za dużo romów, buildy zmieniają tak szybko - jak zaczniesz tłumaczyć zauważysz że to dopiero wierzchołek góry lodowej - ciężko przetłumaczyć "kompletnie" ze wszelkimi opcjami...
PS: nie mam problemu z moją narodowością - powiedziałem tylko "my - polaczki" w kontekscie tego że jesteśmy niewielką grupą na xda
tak czy siak - powodzenia z tłumaczeniami życzę.

Interesting thing - after installing and set up MoreLocales to Polish, the system is still English but all new applications installed after this are in Polish.
BTW: Yes, you - polacks - are small group on XDA. And I'm happy with this. But we, Poles are not so small. Go find another thread.

I think it is a good idea to work on this because it will enable translation in other languages also.
I am also happy with English UI, but Android should be available for all languages.
