Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag aim towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small project we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). After having a couple of iterations, we still intend to stick to our roots, and keep refining what we have. With Android 12, Stag would still be aiming at an elegantly beautiful close to stock experience, that satisfies just the features and customisations you'd crave for (nothing more, nothing less), at the same time being blazing fast and silky smooth. You'll have to try it to believe it .

Changelog - 08/09/2022
Hey everyone, this update took a bit longer. I have been super busy with life. I'll keep changelog this time short and concise.
1. OOS Cam is finally here, everything works.
2. Build is based on August Patch
3. Added volte icon
4. And some stability fixes .
Hope you enjoy this release, this will be the final A12 release for OP9 series, see you in A13
Changelog - 20/07/2022
Hola, We're here quicker then before. This stag build is a simple elegant build that has some beautiful additions. Firstly the build is updated to July Security Patch. Up to date AF.
I'll directly jump on to changelog:
1. Now you have multiple options in alert slider, it's a waste just using alert slider for silent, sound and vibrate. Let's use it for a lot more than that. We call it the Awesome Alert Slider.
2. Added option for higher touch sampling rate.
3. We have an OOS style clear all icon in notifications, it's boring to see clear all text.
4. Now you can flaunt android 12L in your version hehe.
5. We have a screen off fod now, you can use fingerprint when screen is off. You can find the option in Settings > System > Gestures.
6. And many crashes fixed internally )
Changelog - 23/06/2022
Guys this is a small hot fix build that ensures that sensors are fixed. The older update had a bug due to which all sensors stopped working
Changelog - 21/06/2022 - Sensors Broken
Hiya, This time the changelog might turn out pretty long, so yup stay tuned. Before anything else, Yes I realise the time between updates is kinda long, honestly I really try had to get it to you guys much sooner, but this is the best I can do. Another factor that comes in is, every time I add a new feature or fix a bug, I feel like there's something else that can be better, and I go on to fix/work on that, this cycle keeps happening because come on guys, I want to ship out nothing but the absolute best for you guys to use.
And this time with the OOS 12 base, a lot of things broke, and I had to work on fixing things from around up, so without further ado I'll jump right into the changelog. As always, will start with what's bad
Assuming not everyone will read through, please follow the install instructions carefully, as mentioned in OP. else you might end up in brick
So there are two known bugs which I really couldn't fix at this point:
1. Low mic volume in recording apps, calls are perfectly fine (some reported that if you turn on speaker in call once after every reboot, the mic seemingly becomes better)
2. Speaker starts crackling in specific audio (only on max volume) otherwise it's absolutely fine as long as you don't hit the absolulte max.
Ok that aside, now let's get into the good news, the juicy part :
Device Specific:
1. Ok the biggest change, Now the builds are going to be OOS 12 based, partly the reason why there was an even bigger delay, but man o man, the build just flies, you'll forget using any other OS.
2. Biggest challenge was to get the haptics right, the vibrations you feel when you touch your keyboard, or the the haptics when there's a notification, OOS 12 base created a huge mess with them but guess what, you'll not have to worry about them because the haptics are much much better than ever, you'll just fall in love with how your phone vibes (literally hehe).
3. On a few requests, I've decided not to include Gcam in this build, whoever wants are free to install whichever version you want to go with .
4. Verizon sims should finally work, Had multiple tests this time so you should have it working for sure, here's to everyone waiting with a Verizon sim.
5. And everything else that yo love and remember from previous version exactly as they were, if not better
Rom Side:
So here's a lot more magic this time, about time I felt the need of a few essential and good to have feature additions without in the slightest compromising how the usability feels.
1. We now have a working GameSpace dashboard, like for every gaming enthusiasts, finally you can game with the full power without any disturbance of notification.
2. Again for all the gamers out there, we have added some props to allow a game to unlock the maximum FPS possible, for more info:
Spoiler: Click Here
* Free Fire - Spoof Asus ROG Phone 1 will unlock 90 FPS
* COD Mobile - Spoof Xperia 5 || will unlock 120 FPS (only on multiplayer mode)
* PUBG Mobile - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
* Wild Rift - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 120 FPS
* Cyber Hunter - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
* Fortnite - Spoof OnePlus 8 Pro will unlock 90 FPS
3. For apps builds, now we ship a modded Pixel Launcher (credits: source). Gone is the pain of using a half baked custom icons. This is a much more optimised pixel launcher with a lot more goodies (like upto 6x9 grid in launcher)
4. A small aesthetic change, re arranged the layout of qs tiles, gone are the tiles which you rarely used and a rather depreciated wifi/mobile data tile. Now we have separate tiles for mobile data and wifi just like we remember and love from Android 11, and that's what is default.
5. Ohh and on the note of QS tiles, Hasn't it been annoying when you long tap on wifi just to be able to quickly connect but you are having to change the screen, now a small panel pops up as an overlay on the existing screen allowing you to work without leaving whatever you were doing.
6. A proper lock screen charging info, Instead of the boring wrong display, the estimate and wattage have now been fixed, and as multiple people questioned, yes Warp Charging does work .
7. And a highly requested feature (and I can see why), long press power button to turn on torch. You ask and thee shall receive, this build comes with the said feature.
8. Now we allow you to have a haptic feedback on QS tiles, when you tap on that, you know want that, don't you.
9. Some over the hood source changes, that'll make scrolling and animations go whoosh (faster and smoother), especially optimising the download and upload animations.
10. And a huge addition to feature list, Network traffic on status bar. For everyone who have been asking it is finally here.
11. Making life easier with this one, giving you an option to complete pull down the quick status bar either from left side or right side, depending on what you select. So you select, let's say right side, now if you pull down from left you'll have notifications. and if you pull down from right side you'll have the QS tiles. pretty handy right .
12. Added an Ambient music ticker, that'll flash new songs on ambient display, I personally love this, happy to finally be able to have it on stag .
13. Ok finally everything bugging with lock screen pin and pattern has been fixed, which allows to have scrambled pin layout back ).
14. Now directly delete a screenshot if you do not like it, directly from the preview when you take a new screenshot.
15. That's not all, now you can directly feed a screenshot into google lens, isn't that cool.
16. Added font customisation and a huge bunch of fonts, you'll absolutely love it. (We also have status bar, launcher icon customisations) you can find them in Horns > System.
17. Don't like watching '!' when mobile data is off ? worry not you can disable that now. see super thoughtful of me (just kidding)
18. If you are like me, you just want to watch the battery percentage on quick header and not something like "6 hours remaining", so like any sane person would do, I have added an option for you guys to be able to delete it.
Well that's all the changes for this update people....
oops spoke too soon, there's,more
19. Here's a little gesture touch, we now give you an option to turn of sleep either by double tapping on status bar or double tapping on Lock Screen. Use both or use neither upto you.
20. Wanna wake up your device using volume keys instead of power button. Just like shenron would say: "Your wish has been granted"
21. Ever seen a Samsung phone, Noticed their pop up notification (click here for reference), See how non intrusive and beautiful they look, don't be sad, you can have a very similar experience in stag, just go ahead and enable reticker from Horns. yay!!!
22. Ever see all the real estate in the status bar being wasted, the clock being so annoyed stuck beside camera, now you have the ability to customise it's location and the control that gives is amazing.
23. Made battery settings beautiful, added battery health info and capacity info so you also know what you have.
24. Added data usage panel.
25. Nav bar inversion, used to inverted back and recents layout, fear not when stag is here.
26. Smart auto-rotate, i.e. you rotate the phone by mistake when auto rotate is on, and phone just annoyingly rotates? not gonna happen that often anymore, phone will keep a track of your face and rotate only when it deems necessary based on orientation of your phone. (Will lead to higher battery consumption)
I could go on, but that's about most of it, there's still tiny under the hood improvements which aim at making stag ever better,
A huge change set this time, so I really am looking forward for you guys to try this build out, I really really wish you would love it and never want to leave ..
Happy Flashing
~Sic Parvis Magna~
Changelog - 10/04/2022
Hola guys long time no see, I know I promised monthly updates, but this one stretched far too long. The reasons include my college and android 12.1, which was a huge pain for me. But nevertheless here we are as stable as ever ).. Ok as always
Without further ado, I'll quickly list down the Changelog.
Bad news first:
1. We won't be having OOS camera anytime soon, Almost everything works except for rear normal photo, I need some help for fixing hence I am not including it in release builds. If anyone wants to try it out, feel free to pm me on telegram: @vjspranav.
Ok that was it, everything further just keeps getting better.
Device Specific
* Tweaked the position of alert slider UI to make it feel more natural.
* There was a small chance of sim not being detected on first boot, that has been fixed.
* Issues with Verizon have been fixed. A few devices report it as working, a few report it as broken, so you can probably just try it out and let me know.
* Wait must have been super annoying to see wrong charging info on Lock Screen, stuck at some 1hr 24 mins always. Now your phone works as it should have! Lock-screen charging info now shows correct estimates.
* One of the biggest things, we no longer spoof our whole device as pixel, It detects as a oneplus and that helps a great deal with refresh rate in a few apps. And guess what!?
CTS still successfully passes ).
* Added a bit of optimised charging support, although you can't control start stop percentage, your phone will still make sure to stop charging after a certain point. This will be adapted based on your usage.
* Finally for everyone not being able to flash gapps on pristine build, Now you can do so and much more, The issue has been fixed. You can flash any and every apps package, be it micro, mini, full or stock.
* For people having Indian version or any other version which does not support wireless charging, they were unable to turn off, power sharing. Now you all don't have to worry .
Rom
* Updated to Android 12.1 with April security patch, nothing but the latest and the best.
* Added back charging animation ripple removed as part of 12.1 by Google.
* Temporarily removed pocket lock as it is causing issues with device wake.
* Added quick unlock with pin, many have asked for it.
* Added option to enable always on display on charging only.
* Added options to customise fonts and styles of status bar.
* And a lot of under the hood changes thanks to both android 12.1 and also things we at stag do.
As always, stag is as good as you last remember it if not better. I really hope you enjoy the build, and keep showing the love!!.
Cheers
Changelog - 25/02/2022
Hello everyone, first of all, sorry for the delay of two months. I was super busy with life and had covid and college and stuff, secondly I am super happy and thrilled for the support everyone has been giving. I really hope you find this build and also the next exactly to your liking if not more .
Without further ado, I'll quickly list down the changelog.
Device Specific
* Firstly The clock being overlapped by camera cut out, padding issue has been fixed.
* On Lock Screen, you must've seen FP icon and charging info overlapping each other, this issue has also been fixed.
* You must've loved the new unlock animations of A12 right?, But I'm sure everyone felt, the power button location of animation is off, guess what we've got that fixed too!
* Ohh how could I forget, the dreaded ring issue, you won't have to face it anymore, every call you do will for sure have a ring giving you the peace of the call being connected and not having to face surprises.
* We Added OnePlus Specific Settings, That let you select Hyper Touch, Edge touch etc.
* Added Touch screen gestures, these are just love (we also support single tap for ambient display )
* Wake device on pick up, and a couple more ambient display options have been added.
* Build comes with a pre installed working GCam on gapps build.
* Wanted to share your battery to your friends? We have power share toggle added, you can wirelessly or through wire charge your friends phone or any chargeable device!
If you think those are good, wait till you see, what the ROM brings
Rom
* Updated to February patch.
* Ever wanted to look at your phone, and just wanted it to unlock, no sweat, stag has the long awaited face unlock support now.
* We have ota support now, all further builds can be downloaded and installed seamlessly over OTA.
* Added an idle battery manager, this helps in saving idle battery.
* Guess what ever wanted too listen to your class and YouTube, and wanted to decrease volume of your class/meeting only ? It's now possible, we have per app volume control, let your meeting run in silence and let the music begin!. (just kidding, we have the feature but don't miss out on classes )
* I believe there was an issue with no default notification or ringtone in the last build, worry not we got you covered!
* And remember that annoying screenshot sound ? I don't, because we don't have it anymore.
* And And, Live translate works, Complete the initial setup and update all apps, and you're all set.
* For all the enthusiasts, we have an amazing black theme, I know you are there and you are going to love it!
* You scared your phone gets unlocked in your pocket? Well just a toggle and your phone can be smart enough to not unlock as long as it's in your pocket! with pocket lock.
* You like your brightness slider at the bottom? Do not want to see the auto brightness icon ? Or don't want to see the bar at all ? Well you can do all of them now.
* We have saner heads up now, if you are constantly annoyed by every notification pop up on your screen! Explore it to know it.
Upcoming
* We are working on OOS Cam, we have potrait pro mode etc working, so expect to see the next build with OOS Cam .
and too much more, small changes and tweaks to make your experience the best possible!!.
Due to the volume of changes, it is highly recommended to clean flash for the best experience.

Nice flashing now !!!!

Dont try it if you are coming from oos 12 stable . no luck. You must come from oos11
*even from oos 11 no luck.

It booted fine on the TMO op9 fingerprint sensor just flashes when I try to register but other than that everything else works perfectly. Thank you!

I came from an older version of lineage recovery because when I tried using the newer one it would not boot to the recovery. I came from 11.2.10.10 after using the TMO convert msm

Now that it booted android 12 let me try a fresh recovery flash of the newer one and start from scratch.

It booted to the newer recovery fine this time. Booted to the os as well. Still no fingerprint sensor. It seems it it just won't register.

At initial install, use the 0626 dated LineageOs recovery.img. Any newer nightly build losrecovery may cause an issue. After installing recovery and installing system, do not attempt to flash any recovery on device. It messes up the Os. I'm running Stag and FP sensor is working fast and easy on my end

3hrs? I can MSM and update to 11.2.9.9 then Beta 1 and up to C.39 in less than an hour.
It's not a test build,testing is over.
I've messaged OP and instructions and files will be updated soon.

Yep ,you are the one yeaaa!!
You have it bigger !!
I can do it to !
But I was trying to install THIS rom ,with different lineage recoveries .
Because even in the first upload of the TS the recovery was for lemonadep (onep9pro)
So no luck .
I had a personal conversation with the dev and he changed it to the newest and right one .
But even this that is uploaded now it doesn't boot.

Thanks for the new ROM for our brilliant little Z3c's. Is the Ambient Display working on Z3c under this ROM?
Thanks.

Not at the moment but this is the first build for your device hopefully fixes like that will come in up coming updates too
Sounds awesome, just curious about the camera (hate to be that guy), is it still distorted? And can it be launched/lock focus+exposure using the camera button?
@mtsfilms yeah, still have camera issues but only noticeable on square/rectangular objects from a distance. Fine fore portrait and selfies imo. Camera can be launched with dedicated camera button but cannot be used to capture pic.
Cheers

I flashed it anyway....and it's awesome. Nice work I'm a photographer and shoot films for a living though, so that distortion is noticeable in every instance, no matter what hehe...is it a thing that Sony need to address? Or something that just needs time and dedication to fix...or a bit of both? Sorry if my question seems nooby, it's because beyond flashing, I have no idea what I'm talking about here on XDA. Great forum though
tried this rom very nice one question, it seems long press volume buttons when screen is off to switch tracks feature is not present.. possible??

What is this and how is it different from regular twrp?
I noticed there wasn't an official twrp listing for the Z3c anywhere, yet I have 2.8.7.0 installed through dual recovery.
But trying to flash this and another rom gave me the aries error
Flashes fine after getting the fota version, albeit the recovery messes up after the first boot into the rom where everything's diagonally distorted (unusable, but still responses to touch in the correct locations).
(why isn't there just a working and official twrp for the Z3c )
Sorry if this is commonish problems/questions, just got the Z3c yesterday, been outta this world for a few years haha.

Sony Xperia devices don't have recovery partition. Instead of this in custom kernels is used recovery-in-boot conception with two-stage boot (ramdisk-recovery is packed inside main ramdisk). And there is partition called FOTAKernel that is used for installing official FOTA (firmware-over-the-air) updates. After unlocking your bootloader this partition becomes redundant, because you cannot use OTA function anymore. So it may be used for storing recovery ramdisk. And this very useful future was implemented by recognized developer @Dees_Troy (lead TWRP developer), he developed utility extract_elf_ramdisk (it is merged to almost all kernels for Sony devices), it extracts recovery ramdisk from FOTA partition instead of using regular one from boot image. So even after updating or changing your kernel or ROM you don't lose your current recovery!
twrp included in dual recovery wont work with cm based roms thats why its suggested to flash the fotatwrp, which works fine so i dont understand how you can say its unusable?

Thanks for the info! Looks like I got a bit of catching up to do~
In regards to Fota-TWRP not working, I most likely did something wrong.
Using the file linked through the 1st post, I was able to flash cm roms just fine, including this one. But after the initial flash, going back to the recovery looks like the attached pic.
No idea there.
Also, using this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/twrp-v2-8-6-0-f2fs-z1-z1c-z2-z3-z3c-t3098573 just bricks it, and then I have to use flashtool to reflash the one you included in fastboot mode, otherwise, I just get vibration, no sony logo or anything.
Is there a sensitive order/flash methodology that is essential to get things to work?
I can get back to a rooted and unlocked/locked stock 5.0 state with dual recovery.
From then on, I'm probably working off of more assumptions than I should.

thanks. that's a real pity because in such conditions camera can't be used at all, and I need it daily so I can't stay with custom, have to keep stock because of this problem :crying:
so the only hope is a fix from sony?
pardon my ignorance, but it is not possible maybe to use cam drivers from other phones with wideangle sensors running cm? all wideangle phones have this problem in custom rom? can't believe that?! :crying::silly:
Thank's for a nice rom! Here's my feedback after using it for a few days.
Bugs:
Navbar in homescreen randomly turns opaque. It happens seldom and I can't find a pettern to reproduce it either. Going to launcher settings and back will make it transparent again
ADB over network isn't working
If there's a notification, swiping it in lockscreen (to enlarge) will allow Quick Settings to be pulled down in a secure lockscreen
Usb connection options: charging only doesn't work (and there's no option to mount sdcard as a mass storage device)
Cellular networks > Carrier settings causes com.android.phone to stop and connection is lost. Hado to reboot to get connection back
APM can't be disabled from power menu and the indicator falsely stays active after disabling it in settings
Feature requests:
Additional dictionaries (Using Finnish)
Option to disable alarm icon in statusbar
Option to edit default lockscreen shortcuts
Quick pulldown width
Unlock pattern options (hiding dots, error..)
Editing power menu items
Other:
When using expanded desktop mode, swiping to activate nav-/statusbar swipes the active app also. In CM only the bar is shown while the active app stays untouched
It would be better to have Kernel Adiutor as a separate app. Now I can't have it running in the background if I want to edit other settings and also there's currently no way to have a shortcut for the app itself
A minor thing, but when a sim pin is required, it would be nice to boot directly to the numberpad. Currently I first have to swipe to unlock, enter sim pin, swipe again to unlock and then enter lock pattern
If you need a logcat or other more detailed info, pelase ask and I'll try to provide them! Cheers.
Edit: Couldn't get M5 kernel to work with this rom. Any plain reason for it (as this one uses cm kernel?). Hope I can get the info forwarded to Myself5 if it's something trivial as I would like to have a bit more control over the things going on
OK mate, I'm trying to reproduce some of your issues but am currently at work so limited to what I can try.
What launcher you using, do you have xposed installed and have you applied a layers theme?

I'm using the default launcher and actually now that I think about it, after installing a theme I've not seen it happen again. So, default launcher, default theme, navbar resized. That's all I did I guess..
Edit: it could also be that something i did required a reboot, I haven't had the navbar problem today?
OK, I've reflashed rom and been running it for last 5hrs trying to replicate your issues . messed about with navbar height, APM, network services, settings etc etc...... I'm not getting any issues, it's all fine my end Bro. Adb over network, I never tested as I don't use it. The USB charging only issue I confirm is there but it still charges. With regards to your extended desktop issue, I can only assume that you've reduced the height of your softkeys/statusbar (navbar) too small and that's what's causing the issue (too small for touch interface to determine what your trying to do) anyways as for request: I'll pass it on to the creator of NOSP and see if he wants to add them to his rom.
Cheers

[R&D] oZoP support and compatibility

I am creating this R&D thread for a project I've been working on for most of this year.
The project named "oZoP" is an All-in-One mods/themes/tweaks for the phone.
The plan for the project is to make it a universally compatible for ALL stock based rom (AOSP is not and never will be supported or compatible)
I will probably release oZoP ConTroL as a stand alone zip mod that will do most of the work and include most or the options.
Eventually I will release the full Aroma oZoP (One Zip One Place) that will include a full rom with all bloat files (all optional of course), along with various other tools needed to build you phones setup the way you like it.
The reason for this thread is to receive valuable and needed user feedback, recommendations and requests.
The feedback will be used to build "OUR" project into a bug free, totally stable experience that will have something for everyone!!
We will get into more detail about what info is needed and how we can get it all put together.
I will add more details as I update this thread. There are A LOT of mods and a lot of info so this will take time.
If you are really that interested and just need to know more, you can always take a glance at some of my other projects,
Most of these projects are simply just sections of oZoP that have been pulled out as a stand alone mod.
Here are a few samples of the mods during the build phase (some features may or may not appear the same or make it to the initial public release)

As you can see from what I have in the previews above There are a lot of options and configurations possibility and that's only about 1/5th of what is actually available at this point today.
With all those options come lots of possible conflicts with the various devices and variants that are planned to be on the list of compatible devices.
That brings me to the reason for this thread... I have the H918 Tmobile and may or may not need several users with other devices to be the support section to check compatibility!
To be clear, I have been building this project since March and have recently finished running clean install testing for the past 10 days to ensure all the defaults are set properly and that there are zero bugs that I can detect with my setup.
Again, just because everything works as it is intended for me with my model phone, carrier variant and app and setting setup, doesn't mean it will be the same for everyone.
This thread will hopefully eliminate any possibilities of this not working for everyone and ensures a wonderful experience
You may or may not have seen the following projects. They are in fact sections of oZoP pulled out as stand alone mods.
They have been sort of "silent" compatibility tests that have passed with flying colors. There has been no reports of things not working.
oZoP Modz - Full-screen Caller ID
oZoP MoDz - System Animations
BOOT/SHUTDOWN ANIMATION CHANGER
The next test is being announce as such and is starting taking place right here right now.
This has been tested privately for the last few days and the confirmed Roms and devices include Weta (all US carriers), NATF and one I can't remember right now

2. Stock based deodex rom

Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm moy goimg to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amout of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind amd slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!

Just curious I could have missed it but will the ability to turn off the annoying battery full notification be included in the mods? And any chance the ROM could include WETA like abilities to modify what is on the second screen (ie: 3min clock)?
Thanks for sharing all this by the way. Exciting times for our V20!
I noticed today that if I do a bulk execute on the second screen mods work on weta. But if I try to just modify them under ui mods individual it causes the system ui to crash. I'm on Verizon weta 5.1 #2

For the clock I have mod native built with control of many thing which do include layout position. I also have native build battery controls including the option to switch between stock modded or 3 minit batteries.
I have stock battery position left/right, but so far it doesn't work right for second screen so the battery will be in the stock position on the right for now.
The reason for this thread is for suggestion, recommendations.
That being said, i currently do not have a switch for the full battery notification.... Currently... I will be adding that and you can expect to see it in the official release!
Thank you

For the 3 replies about having compatibility issues, I want to say this does not come to a surprise and I can assure you that this will not be the case with the official release.
I suspect the reason for this fc issue is because WETA is a very customized rom and some of the mods are probably pushing files the the sysui which I modded and the old files are conflicting because they do not include the referances to the edits I made for the animated home button etc.
This will not be an issue when all the oZoP files are in place.
So i also want to clear this up...
Once the official oZoP is ready and gets installed on to your rom, it will override ALL current mods of your rom. The mod includes most core system files that devs mod.
Don't worry though, i am pretty sure that ANY mods you currently have will be available with oZoP.
If we find out that there is a mod which I haven't included, just let me know and i will definitely do what i can to add the feature.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I will make things more clear for the future as well as add a restore failsafe to the zips.

I think it would be cool to have a working color coded battery bar for the second screen especially for the AOD part as it's easier to read than a small white battery icon and even the 3minit battery is still pretty tiny when trying to see it at a glance. Not sure if it is do-able
2nd screen is awesome on this phone just wish there was more ways to customize it. Be nice to force it to max brightness as well as being able to increase the time it displays notifications like text messages and stuff.

Again, thank you and this is what this thread is about, getting things we all want in one mod!
So for battery bar in SS, i already have the options for top/bottom placement, regular (left to right) or centered style, charging animation on/off, size and colorpicker for any color. I do not have it color coded, I assume you mean by percentage of battery remaining?
I can definitely look at adding to my code, but that may come in future updates...
As for the other battery options, stock battery is only white if you choose to leave it that way. The battery icon has color optiins for background, foreground and in-battery precentage colors. The icon has several styles including hide, circle and dotted cirlces. 3minit is 3minit, no need to go into that one.
As you can see, there are currently options that could hopefully satisfy your battery needs.
I totally aggree about needing more controls for SS options like brightness and screen notification timeouts.
@Zacharee1 and I have been looking deeper to add options for pulse and text color controls, but again this one may have to be for future updates as well...
Thank you for your interest and participation here.
Thanks for taking time to clear up as to why we're having issues. Your mods are awesome. And I commend you for putting the time in to do this for this phone. ?? ?? Im sure everyone in this forum with this phone is extremely grateful to you for doing this, as we don't have many choices for roms and such for a phone that is a year old. It amazes me, my old old HTC desire and galaxy s4 are still getting roms released yet this phone is all but abandoned. Lol anyway thank you immensely and I look forward to the finished product. (I will also beta test any releases you push if needed)

@KUSOsan just finished up the Full battery switch and love your suggestions so keep em coming. There can't be that many left.. Haha that mod make puts the total keys used for included mods at 407! Thats 407 different settings some pf which include 50+ choices!

I need to write them down because I can never think of stuff on the spot but it's always whenever the problem arises.
Most of my suggestions pretty much center around the 2nd screen as there is just a disappointing lack of customization for it considering that is the biggest defining feature about the V20.
I was hoping LG would add more stuff to it after they talked big about focusing on the 'V' series as their main contender with the G series taking a backseat compared to it but with the V30 coming out sans a 2nd screen I have a bad feeling that if anything they are going to abandon any 2nd screen updates completely or just streamline it (i.e. neuter it with less features but make it look prettier) for the Oreo update if this phone ever gets it.
I also have a bad feeling that Oreo is going to be a long ways out for this phone so your timing with the mods and ROM are perfect ?
I'm extremely interested in this ozop rom. Thanks for puting all you time and effort into this. Will this work for the sprint ls997 model? If so which rom will we need to be running?

3. scroll down to "Simulate display with a cutout" and tap it

5. done!

So
Is this the final, final one? And, that new kernel that popped up in this section, shall I give that a go? I tried it with a Pie back up and that went into a real tight loop of maybe 2 seconds in between boots.
Anyway, thanks. I don't think I'll be doing the upgrade next week and this project is better than what I'd get, AND just saves time adding in extras.. No reason to pretty much downgrade (in my eyes) with the official. Hope that screen freeze gets worked out eventually so I can stop talking to my phone like a puppy when it boots.
k I see you added the kernel. No freezing on boot. Did a couple reboots but nothing weird.. Just got a nice Samsung logo display here and... yup. Welcome screen. Here we go.
Alright! Great work with the ROM and kernel addition. Still getting a bit of the freezes but not even close to as bad as it was a week ago. And if it freezes, it doesn't do it as the S or SA of Samsung starts. A little more crash friendly for the eyes. Really trying to like this update... but when you see the attached images it's almost like someone wants you to hate it. Once that panel fills out the screen there's 2 swipes to put it back, if you want to swipe. Speaking of progress, the stock weather app is coloured like you're not supposed to look at it.

lol there's still a long way to go with this rom, this isnt final
the only way the screen freeze will get worked out is we wait for official pie to come out for a530w and see lol
ye i kinda hate the fact that it fills up the screen and how it wastes space, but you get used to it, the thing i hate the most is the brightness slider location, its the very bottom and i prefer it to be on the top

Yeah what's up with that? I am wondering if there's something bigger in the making because it seems like this is not a complete OS.
Reminds me of getting a new Playstation and EA Sports makes hockey suck again and each year adds in the things they already had from the beginning so you buy it each year. But not with 2 thousand dollar price tags.
No matter what phone, i will not be on an unaltered OS for a while. I got a friend of mine to upgrade one of her S9+ phones and it kinda works for the bigger screen but still crud. Crud on speed. Keep on cookin'!
Battery life good, I think this rom smoother than the stock. Maybe you can add more custom content like that ringtones. Can you add tweak to change screen resolution like in the samsung flagship phone too? To preserve battery life. Great rom it is my daily driver. :good:

yep oneui literally was only here for like idk 3 months so it still needs some improvement
Slightly. The latest, or the one i downloaded last night hasn't had any freezes/reboots yet. Haven't cut out any apps yet but installed a few Magisk modules and usually would have had an issue at boot by now.
The brightness slider can be applied up top but it's bulky... of course.

Samsung released a buggy Android pie update so until they fix it all pie will have issues.
Yeah i haven't tried any video yet but i am prepared for that to freeze and this is an excellent version as far as an unfinished ROM goes. I didn't flash the module to maintain bluetooth in my vehicle either as of yet, but once again that functions flawlessly if i just accept the pop-up when starting my car. Not a major concern. What's vastly improved and most important is when re-booting it will not freeze at the Samsung logo if installing a module or for any reason... as of yet and hopefully always. Going to purge some apps now and let you know how that goes. Also, for anyone that wants, you can add camera shutter toggle, call recording and remove the security menu from the battery health section (not an uninstall but just omitted).
Here's the 3 entries for the cscfeature.xml described above that are working: I am getting spaces when i post so make sure to fix it.
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>TRUE</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
<CscFeature_SmartManager_DisableAntiMalware>TRUE</CscFeature_SmartManager_DisableAntiMalware>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
Most of you probably have them already but it's easier copying and pasting if you don't Be careful as there is a space in the code for some reason.
Also, not really anything required, but you can have a data on your power off menu and take out the auto-spacing in your dial pad entry. These should already be there and only require changing "FALSE" to "TRUE"
<CscFeature_Common_DisablePhoneNumberFormatting>TRUE</CscFeature_Common_DisablePhoneNumberFormatting>
<CscFeature_Framework_SupportDataModeSwitchGlobalAction>TRUE</CscFeature_Framework_SupportDataModeSwitchGlobalAction>
Nothing new, but working if you want them. Still trying to get blank texta but I think it's not able to be tweaked anymore. Not from the mentioned file.

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Ruby, based on Android 11.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Been giving this a try and it seems pretty solid so far. Passes SafetyNet (GPay even works!), performance is smooth, battery life is excellent - on AOSiP I was losing like 10% an hour just having it in my pocket, this is still at 97% after being off the charger for 3+ hours. I do wish it had some more customization options, but I've been able to do most of the tweaking I want with GravityBox without losing any battery life (and still passing SN). Still wish I could turn off the pure black Settings background, find my usual teal accent color (this one's "Teal" is pale) and reorder the navigation bar, but gesture navigation is growing on me anyway.
I've had a weird bug with other ROMs where something happens to /data that makes it slower and slower over time (like two months or so) to the point that even TWRP takes 10+ minutes to boot until I wipe /data, waiting to see if this ROM has the same problem or not.
EDIT: I'm actually blown away by the battery life on this ROM. It barely loses 10% over the course of an entire day when not in use, and even when I am using it heavily, it just goes and goes! And background apps are clearly still working, as I still get notifications immediately and such. I'm impressed.

thanks to the CAF base, that's really cool
I can't seem to find any settings regarding heads-up notifications (the ones that pop down from the top of the screen) in this ROM. Is there any way to disable/snooze those? Even with Do Not Disturb on I keep getting (potentially sensitive) notifications popping up and covering important parts of the screen all the time, worst of all when using Maps and having something pop up and block the next turn info.
Edit: Nevermind, I think I found it. It's in per-app, individual notification categories' settings as "Pop on screen". I can just switch that off for the worst offenders.
Thank you for this great Rom.
My only problem is Screen off gestures are not working at all.
I am trying to wake device with double tap but it's not woking. Screen off gestures is turned on but nothing works.

clean flash I guess
A word of warning: if you are using dual SIMs, the current version has problems setting the data card. You have to set the new data card then reboot immediately for the change to take effect. Otherwise it falls back to SIM1.

If you have flashed magisk, then flash a canary build instead.
So i reboot to twrp,
Wiped Cache, System, Data, vendor
Flash "MIUI Q stable firmware" Which i assume is fw_MIMIX3Global_V12.0.2.0.QEEMIXM_9b2eb453df_10.0.zip
Flash pa-ruby-1-perseus-20210724-dev.zip
And get a bootloop
Help?
EDIT: So i tried every possible combination of wiping, restarting and installing this rom. Always results in bootloop.
So for some reason it seems to work now
Flashed xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMix3_V12.5.1.0.QEECNXM_v12-10.zip
rebooted to os
Reboot to TWRP
Wipe everything
Format data -> yes
Reboot to TWRP
Install PA
Reboot to OS
To date, I think this is still my favorite, most stable ROM for this phone - everything works, it's fast, battery life is the best of any ROM I've tried, and there're all the customization options and colors most R roms are lacking (and GravityBox can provide all the fine-tuning extra tweaks)
Ooone little tiny thing bugs me, though - for some reason, specifically on this ROM, I get an extra haptic feedback on *release* when doing swipe input with Gboard, so every swipe does haptic feedback *twice* unlike any other ROM where it only does that feedback on the initial touch. Anybody have any idea why that would be/how to fix it?
Hello, I tried to install this rom in a thousand ways and it gives me an error when loading the zip with twrp .... any suggestions

Things to check:
1. Make sure you have the latest firmware, from here - use the latest China firmware, currently V12.5.1.0.QEECNXM, regardless of your actual region
2. Make sure you're on the latest TWRP, from here
3. It used to be that you needed to flash Xiaomi.EU's MIUI first - not sure if that's still the case but I think the latest version that supports the MIX 3 is here
4. After doing all that, format data (under advanced wipe, I think, the one that requires you to type "yes"), wipe system/cache/vendor, then flash the ROM
5. If it still won't boot, format data again so it has a clean slate on first boot

With Android 13, Stag would still be aiming at an elegantly beautiful close to stock experience, that satisfies just the features and customisations you'd crave for (nothing more, nothing less), at the same time being blazing fast and silky smooth. You'll have to try it to believe it .
~Sic Parvis Magna~
PS: for people wondering what sic parvis magna is, it translates to great endings from small beginnings, Something i picked up while playing a game.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This is a very initial stage build, bugs are to be expected. Although so far in testing we did not find anything major, cts not working and any such issues are to be expected, and you will be flashing the build of your own accord.
Please do not expect features or anything at all, this is just an initial release and is completely stock with 0 features whatsoever.
I am planning to have super frequent releases of A13 beta, and soon it will be the stag you know and love (it's super stable already)

Installation
Please follow the instructions properly.
(If you face issues with installation, MSM is the way. These are initial builds and anything can happen)
**Make sure your boot loader is unlocked**
Please read the following carefully for incremental
Incremental updates are considerably smaller updates (10-400mb instead of 2.5Gb) and will only work if you are updating from a specific version.
For incremental to work you have to make sure that you flashed no additional zips (magisk, partition gapps etc etc) as that will modify partition and incremental will not work any more.
if an incremental flashing fails nothing bad happens to your system and you are free to dirty flash the full update .
If you have any questions regarding the same feel free to post them.
Spoiler: Updating using Updater
**Warning: Currently Updater is a bit buggy and might not work for everyone**
For installing incremental using Updater
First make sure that you are on the latest build before the current release
Open Settings > System > Updater

Click on 3 dots and disable incremental updates
Refresh you should see the update
Download, Install and reboot (This process can take some time)
Spoiler: If you want to manually install Incremental

Bonjour, A long time due update is finally out. The march update by google was a huge pain, I had to completely re work the source and had a lot of personal issues. Hence I had to skip march release, and are soo late into april as well. I'll really try my best to provide all further updates on time (or much ahead). With all the rambling aside, this update will not look much, but trust me someone once said: "it's not what's on the outside that matters, it's what's on the inside that does". And inside the source there have been a tremendous amount of changes and people who tested the build are in love with it, so what exactly does it bring to plate ? Read on:
Device Specific
1. Finally the huge jump to OOS 13 FW, build is based on F.21
2. Still retain the amazing haptics from before
3. Fixed auto brightness, works like a charm
4. Enabled CLO boost framework, makes the device much smoother.
5. Added support for power efficient workqueues, saves your battery.
6. Upgraded to OOS 13 based OOS Camera
Source
1. Feb -> April patch. We are on the latest patch by google, CTS passes OOTB!
2. One downgrade is the removal of battery styles, they will be right with you by may release.
3. We revamped the Recents UI slightly, looks more like OOS now.
4. A very small touch is the addition of clear all sound, I personally find it very satisfying. The swoosh that OOS clear all makes, now Stag does too, you'll absolutely love it.
5. Added a feature called re-ticker. For anyone who's used a samsung phone might be able to relate. It's a OneUI style pill shaped notification.
6. Added notification clear all button styles
7. Finally App Lock and hide apps from launcher, super helpful features!!
8. Revamped resolution selector
9. A new settings UI (can be enabled with a toggle)
That's about all I have on the feature front, but you'll be lost scrolling and using the latest and greatest of Stag.
Until next time.
Changelog - 16022023
Hola people, Hope you have been loving the previous stag release, I have heard feedback, and there's some serious changes in this build! Keep reading to find out. LTO
Build is based on February Security patch by the way .
Device Specific
1. Un-Reworked haptics, XD ok I realised the complains. We are back on OOS 11 haptics now, the very best that you remember.
2. trying to mimic OOS behaviour, when you change alert slider it will also show up on ambient display, of course only if you want it to!
Fixes
1. Lock clock font.
2. The crash that happened when you happen to enable Demo mode.
Changes
1. Build is based on February patch
2. We have completely ditched Pixel Launcher and Moved to our own launcher. I could write a complete changelog just stating the launcher changes itself, but I'll leave it to you guys to figure it out.
3. A few notable changes, revamped recents menu, added memory info to recents. Shhh.. No more spoiling.
4. We now build using Global ThinLTO. Keeping it simple, it means that performance will go vrooom.
5. Now you have chance to use the updated security menu in settings straight from pixel (only on GAPPS builds)
6. Play System updates which previously was broken, now works. You can successfully update.
7. Added toggle for enabling unlimited photos storage.
8. Added toggle to enable high fps in games.
9. This is a hot cake, now you can choose which side you want your volume panel in landscape as well. I understand some people find it comfortable on the right on landscape, this one's for you.
10. Fingerprint Icons and Animations!! Man those are super duper cool, you'll keep selecting from all the options available .
11. Like QPR2? Me too, hence now we have the QS panel from QPR2, nothing major, just a very smooth and soothing clock expand animation.
12. Not everyone is a fan of two column layout of QS Tiles, we now have added row and column count customisation, along with being able to hide labels!!!
13. Now you can also hide if you don't want to see your daily data usage, hide that guilt XD.
14. Added music pulse. NavBar/lockscreen/ambient music visualiser.
15. Also added edge light for notification.
16. Added support for toggling status bar icons.
17. As a consequence of above, a dynamic VoLTE, and a VoWiFi icon implementation which can be turned off!
18. Added a fix to IMS, which avoids showing carrier name under internet tile twice, for example, "JIO - Jio".
19. A lot of under the hood performance and visual improvements, to make sure that stag flies hehe!!
This is a pretty huge overhaul, and I'm positive you guys will more than love it.
Looking forward to your responses
Until next time!

Changelog - 16102022
Guys been super busy these days, will keep changelog to point for this release. One of the most important change will be support for OTA updates and incremental updates.
So incremental updates allow the further releases to be as small as 14mb. More details and instructions will be shared with next release (which actually will be incremental)
Major Changes
1. Updated to October Patch
2. Builds are now signed using official keys
3. Added OTA support (Full and Incremental)

2. Fix the layout of advanced reboot. (Looks much better now after following AOSP style)
3. Added warp charge support (detects when phone is warp charging)
4. And yes, finally moved the volume panel to the left. It was long due.
5. For pristine builds improved launcher, you'll have a super smooth experience using it.
6 .Added option for double tap to doze (ambient display), for this to work make sure you have double tap to wake up enabled before. You can find it in display Settings.
7. Added support for OTA updates.
8. Added a proper monet impl for non gapps builds.
9. Add double tap to sleep on lockscreen/statusbar/anywhere.
10. Enable less annoying notifications, you need to use it to love it.
11. You can now disable alert slider UI.
12. Added back font/icon theming support. (Can be found at Horns/System)
13. Add option to enable haptic feedback on haptic tiles.
14. Now you can disable sound on screenshot.
15. Added feature adaptive playback
16. Now you can also record system audio while screen recording.
17. Allow to delete screenshot/screenrecord from pop up notification.
18. Add aesthetic changes like padding to make the rom look better.
That is all I have for now guys. Hope you all love the build!! looking forward to your feedback

If you can run MSM Toolkit, you can go back to whatever OOS version that is.
All that "Pixel Devices cant downgrade" issues you heard about when they upgraded to 13 was due to that phones lack of a MSMToolkit type solution like we have (and a stricter bootloader security).
of course, there is always the unknown and the possibility of entropy to rear its head and become the exception, but I am fairly confident you can downgrade, so long as you are familiar with MSMToolkit.
Also, holy cow, that was fast pranavasri, thank you so much for your work on this. I wiped my phone too much in the past week , so Ill sit out the early adoption, but I know I will be unable to resist for long. Can't wait to try this out, I appreciate your continuing support of OP9.
great work sir got me really excited ... is there a telegram channel or something ? and can we have screenshots please ?
Well, I couldnt help it and updated it. The only snag I ran into was rebooting to recovery after sideloading 13. Missed the part about having no recovery. All is well, though. I just extracted the 13.zip's boot file and had magisk create a new one for me to flash in the bootloader.
So far, everything is running smoothly, after this migrate restore, i should be 100%. Thanks again!!
Edit: One issue is battery display in the status bar. , by default, my battery percentage only displays when i pull down the quick menu. I enabled for it to show a percentage in settings, but nothing changed beyond it now shows the percentage when i look at the status bar on the lock screen. Doesn't seem to want to just always show as just a percentage.
Another nitpick is no customization on display brightness. Using the top of the screen, or at the very least, having it show on the first pull down of the quick menu. I'm not a user of adaptive brightness and control it in sunlight as needed, those customizations made it a little easier.
Lastly, the volume display propagated on the opposite side of the volume rocker. Just another non issue, but worth mentioning.
For a beta of a brand-new Android release, those being my only issue is a godsend.
You did an amazing job on this.
can someone please, provide me with magisk patched boot img to fastboot flash it, i dont know which file to extract.thanks
edit; extracted build... copy payload.bin to input folder in payload dumper... started payload exe... boot img will be extracted to output folder... magisk used to patch it... fastboot boot patched img... then go to magisk and install hit direct install.. reboot

Glad you figured it all out. Just for future use, I highly suggest you check out fastboot enhance for payload dumping, next time. A lot easier to mangae thna python scripting, with its GUI. It does other things, but its payload dumper is lal I really use it for.
things i noticed;
1. music sound volume can't be adjusted with volume buttons while screen off. (if u turn on screen now, it will be adjusted).
2. can't show battery percentage in status bar.
3. quick settings tiles missing (data switch, sync, adaptive brightness).
4. adaptive brightness is broken.
.....
so far so good.
nicely done

You have to boot into the custom recovery after you manually flash the 3 files linked in his how to. You'll notice you are flashing a12 stagos files. Once you flash a 13 beta, it will no longer have a recovery. Review the description and try again, you'll get it.
Can anyone confirm that YouTube TV works on this rom. Old version of stag didn't work with it.
