How To Guide Linux emulator--Kali Nethunter-- open source for moto g stylus 2021 - Moto G Stylus (2021)

------------ So I was just messing around on my rooted moto G stylus 2021 (Minsk) and found this pretty cool open source that basically runs a pc type system on the phone I don't know what kind of things you can do on it really maybe you do I don't know but ima just give yall my steps to install it and try it out ------------------
.
.
.
.
.
-1. go to this link and install aurora droid - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.aurora.adroid/ -
-2. open the app and look up ' Nethunter ' 'Nethunter terminal ' and install them both
(--- and also look up ' Nethunter Kex ' ---- install that)
-3. open Nethunter and navigate to kali chroot manager and you should see an install chroot or kali chroot tap on that and wait for the installation to complete.
after you should see something like this,
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
-4. now go navigate to Kex manager on Nethunter app and toggle localhost only then tap on setup local server it will ask for a password just type one press enter then retype it then it will ask you if you want a view password I just type n and press enter
-5. now select user and toggle (root) OR kali and then START SERVER it will start then after it says server started wait till the phone reboots try not to do anything while u wait it lags your phone HARD but after it reboots unlock your phone like normal and Open the app Nethunter Kex
-6. it will look like this then type your password from before and tap on start.
-7. and there you go now you are running Linux Kali Nethunter on your phone!
I think it's pretty cool myself so let me know what yall think it's been ages since I owned an android that's rooted I've missed out on a lot it looks like hopefully there's more to come for the moto g stylus 2021 after all Also I think the stylus is perfect for this.

Update a not well-known 8.1 (treble) android Chinese smartphone to 9.0

Hey there!
My name is Thomas and I'm new to this forum. I have a cheap Chinese phone: the UMIDIGI One Pro. It's a really good smartphone provided with stock Android 8.1.
It's been a few weeks since Android 9 came out and I think it's a very good version. I currently use Pear Launcher and Power Shade to have a close interface (I'm a fan of Pie one).
I like hacking and I had a little fun yesterday by rooting my phone with Magisk and installing the God's favorite language with Termux (RUBY <3). Just looking at examples of what I could do with Termux I saw that I could see if my phone supported Treble, and contrary to what I thought ... it is!

I am a newbie so correct me if I say nonsense but I think it would allow me to update to android 9, right? I watched some tutorials but they use TWRP (and I have not found a version compatible with my phone because it is really little known and recent).
I am currently able to use:
- ADB & Fastboot
- Termux
- Magisk
- SP Flash Tools (I used it in order to install Magisk)
- The ROM folder downloaded from the website of my phone: [link blocked as I'm a new user]
But I'm not able to:
- Unlock bootloader (when I restart on fastboot and perform the command "fastboot oem unlock", it asks me to press volume up to confirm because it could void the warranty and then it says "unlock failed"
- Install TWRP (as I don't found any supported version)
Do you think I can update it to android 9? If yes, how?
Thank you very much for taking the time to read me. Sorry if my English is not very good (I'm french).
Thomas!
I found a compatible TWRP version here : [Link blocked because I don't have 10 posts]
So I installed it with SP Flash Tools. :good:
I also found a TWRP for the ONE PRO, but I have the ONE, you think it will work ?
And from what source did you get the boot.img to install Magisk ?
I have the One Pro it's the same phone except you have a bigger battery and I have wireless charging capabilities...... keep me posted because I might want to do the same

Fire HD 10's & Vanilla Android

First thanks for responding.
I am a tech have used ADB and fastboot / rooting , but this is a step further for me. I have installed countless OS's on servers and PC's and ARM based SBC's.
I bought 5 Fire HD 10's over a period of time for the Family. Added google play store to them all. However this Fire OS is just to chuggy. Before I proceed I know I need to identify which ver I have np there.
Been looking and it looks pretty unclear how to just wipe out whatever is on the Fire HD 10 tablet and install a clean vanilla android OS. LineageOS looked promising but doesn't show in the supported list. I finally found a guide which leads me to the following questions.
1) Will the below guide work in providing me access to the device to install whatever OS I want?
See Attached Image its not letting me post outside links as a new user...
2) Is there guide for which OS's I should install based on my Fire 10 Version? IE what OS would you recommend? Can you provide a link to the downloads? I can find lineageOS already not sure on the rest though.
3) Assuming that my question #1 will work will the below link also as to installing the custom OS?
See Attached Image its not letting me post outside links as a new user...

If TWRP or custom ROMs exist for your model number of Kindle, do a Google search for.
"TWRP for (your specific model number)"
And
"Custom ROMs for (your specific model number)"
You need to know your specific model number, go to system settings>about and look around for your model number if you don't already know it, use that model number in your searches. If it exists for your device, those searches should find what you can use.

captive portal has got many potential use cases, from spoofing public WiFi splash pages to serving locally stored educational content easily.
Though above method works fine, to make it a bit more easier, we decided to make an app. so, with my inexpert JAVA skills, I made an app.
download it : View attachment mobile-release.apk.
currently, it has very minimal UI and options.
It is working as expected on my rooted Lenovo k8 plus device. But, has some problems on android 9+ devices.
if you got a rooted android device, please install it, use it! and test it!
So dev,
we need your help in making this app more reliable and feature rich.
any major or minor modifications are welcomed.

Edit: Thanks for your support devs. contributions to GitHub repo is on pause, will be resumed soon.
Hi devs,
New alpha Release!
Certainly there are some bugs.
find APK attachment below.
Steps to follow:
Turn on hotspot.
press that solo start button.
Edit: Thanks for your support devs. contributions to GitHub repo is on pause, will be resumed soon.
Hello [email protected]
I've downloaded the latest apk on my rooted google pixel 4 running android 10 and granted it super user access.
when I launch the app and press the start button my hotspot automatically gets turned on all well and dandy. When I try and connect from my iphone I don't get redirected to the default html page.
PS: the hotspot on pixel gets broadcasted from wlan1 not wlan0, so I tried modifying the source code from terminal but had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated
hello, can you send the captive_portal.zip download link, because from the apk I can't use it because my android version is too old
Hi,Can you please send me the captive_portal.zip Thanks

From Android N ➔ 10, restoring from TB

Hello. It's been about 5 years, and a lot has changed:
-twrp is broken, fastboot fun times
-I've got to go "systemless" root for Google pay & safety net
-there's partitions A and B to worry about
But my main question is, with these things in mind, how am I going to restore from a TB backup from my old phone? (It has all my sms, call logs, apps and data, etc)
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction for how to achieve a rooted android 10 P3a that passes safety net and will allow me to restore my titanium backup, presumably using magisk as the root method.
Is the process straightforward or are there some extra steps and things to keep in mind, any major differences?
Thoughts, comments, questions, concerns? Do tell!

Alright buddy,
If I follow this guide, then install TB, then restore... If I get one single error along the way... Then I'm holding you personally accountable, Mr... Andisa, if that is your real name.
Don't worry guys, I've done the research and compiled a nice guide for you.
Step 1. Install TB and backup everything
2. Now install Split APK Installer
3. Set the filter settings as seen in this helpful image below:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. Look at the list of all the apps that TB will fail to restore
5. Uninstall TB
6. Search for a modern-day complete backup and restore solution while continuing to pray that we'll someday return to the golden era of android custom development.

Looks like you owe me an apology.
You could also try the tools provided by my Android Backup Project. Those should work on Android 7 - 11 but unfortunately not yet tested much on non stick Android builds

I am not the developer of the os, I am just making this post because
