POCO X3 NFC - Display Malfunction - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Just wondering if anyone had any idea on a fix or even if the situation is fixable. I have a Poco X3 NFC that I have had about 5 months now, and then earlier today the display flickered when playing a game, and the phone shut off. When starting the phone back up the display wasn't working right. It was just a black backlit screen with no images showing up properly. The phone vibrates when turning on making it seem like the phone is operating fine, but no images will display. Same problem when trying to fast boot. Hoping that someone might have any sort of help, thank you in advance!

Screen randomly turns off but phone still on, backlight often stays on

Hey guys, i'll try to explain the situation as best i can below, hopefully someone can work out what is wrong.
My phone is about 16 months old. About 2 months ago i dropped it twice within the space of a couple weeks. There were a few cracks along the screen, however it wasn't very noticeable and i wasn't going to bother having it fixed. The problem started a couple of weeks ago when i went to grab it out of my pocket, however i found out the screen was black and it wouldn't turn on. I don't really know how to describe it but it was acting very strange...
- The screen would have white/gray bars all over it then turn off, then it would do the same with very thin vertical lines that were white/gray/other colours...
- When i get the screen on, it generally turns off again within 30 seconds, however it can stay on for a few minutes.
- If the screen is on and i press the lock button, it almost certainly won't come back on.
- Restarting the phone or holding the power and volume button nearly always gets the screen to come back on. It often then restarts but turns off again shortly after.
- The phone is otherwise still working when the screen goes off; the notification light stays on and i hear messages etc coming through
- The backlight often stays lit, revealing a gray screen opposed from total black. Sometimes it does not stay lit however.
- When the screen came on it was often unresponsive to touch
I had the screen replaced yesterday by a phone repair shop and the phone is still not right. I have factory reset the phone and also wiped the partition cache. Other than that it is still not working. IT seems to be working better... The screen always seems responsive to touch when it is on, and it doesn't seem to be turning off as often. It generally starts up and works fine when i start up by holding the power button and down volume button together... However even still it sometimes just flashes up with a few thick white/gray and black lines on the screen..
Does anyone know what can be causing this and how i can resolve it? If you need any more information please let me know and i will try provide it. I could try get some pictures of what the screen is doing when i finish work. Thanks guys, i appreciate any input.
EDIT: I managed to get a pic of what i mean by the thin vertical lines all over the screen. This just appeared when i tried to restart the phone after it the screen had once again stopped working. The imgur link is gIFMGD6
Anyone have any ideas?
Hey, did you ever figure this problem out? My phone just started doing the same thing. Can't find much info about it.

Yeah, i had the screen fixed hoping it would fix it, however that didn't work. Turns out it was the motherboard, don't know what was wrong with it in particular other than it was simply going faulty. Had someone replace the motherboard on it for $50 and have had zero problems since! Hope that helps you.
Thanks for the response. I tried replacing the screen too with no luck. Unfortunately the same place that replaced the screen said it would cost $400 to replace the motherboard!!! The phone cost less than that so it looks like I'm gonna buy a new one.

Horizontal lines and now a black screen

My trusty old Nexus 5 has been showing horizontal white lines on the screen the past few weeks. Whenever this started to happen, it would detect taps in random areas on the screen or become unresponsive. Rebooting the phone would temporarily fix the problem. Last night the battery got entirely drained and now when I boot the phone, it only shows a black screen. The led at the bottom is flashing in white. Has anyone been able to fix this issue? I was thinking that maybe a LSD cable got loose, so it's fixable, but from what I've read it's likely that the LCD is broken?
I hope someone can shed some light on what the issue is and whether I can fix it or not.
Thanks in advance.
Was the phone every dropped? It could be the LCD or motherboard. I think the only way to really tell would be to move the motherboard to a working phone to see what happens when you try to boot.

[HELP ME] I dropped my Redmi Note 6 Pro in a lake

I accidentally dropped my Redmi Note 6 Pro in a lake and pulled it out after 5 minutes.
I also pressed the power button to see if it was working and it showed the mi loading screen which shows up on boot up.
I opened it up and kept it in the sun to dry off.
After a while, I tried to start it and it worked but the only problem was the display was way too dim for me to see anything.
I kept it like that overnight and the next day, it worked fine. Everything was good until I switched it off for a couple of hours and switched it on again.
Now, I can only use it on low brightness.
If I increase the brightness to a certain point, it blacks out (screen goes dim). The touch is working but the only problem is the display has gone way too dim.
Please, someone guide me as to what the problem might be.
Oh no!
It's probably water damage. Check for short or water or dirt and I will suggest you to not use the phone to prevent further damage
Not sure if exactly that happened to me one with chinese phone (UMI C Note), but behaviour seems similar. I've changed screen in my phone (it was watter-logged), but had the same issue with very, very low brightness. I would place my bet into motherboard issue.

Screen turning on randomly

Hi
I started noticing about 2-3 weeks ago that my poco f2 pro screen randomly turns on, showing the lock screen with absolutely no notification or reason at all. Am I the only one having this weird "issue"?
I'm running Android 10 - MIUI 12.0.3 EU (QJKEUXM).
It's not a huge deal as it doesn't seem to affect the battery that much. But it happens quite often (a few times per hour, quite randomly). I didn't install any app or apk recently, so I don't think I got infected or anything like that? The battery state shows nothing particular, no app seems to be running in the background more than it used to before.
Hope someone can help me fix this problem or explain it somehow, thanks!

My Huawei mate 30 pro 30 keeps flickering on bottom screen before switches off

Anyone encounter the issue with Huawei phone that flickers non-stop before switches off ? This happens when the phone has been in use for longer than 15 min. Quite annoying as it really pains the eyes. The phone was purchased only end of 2019 and I'm considering of replacing it because of this issue.
Make sure that your phone is fully charged. If the battery is low, this could cause flickering or other strange behavior. You should also try restarting your phone by holding down the power button for several seconds until it turns off. If neither of these solutions work, you may need to take more drastic steps such as resetting your device or seeking professional help from a technician.
In any case, remember to always back up your data before attempting any fixes in order to avoid losing important information. While dealing with technical difficulties can be frustrating at times, don't give up hope – there's always a solution out there!
replace it huawei phone is not worth the effort. most likely part of the diode in the screen died or something worse. when things shows up on screen most likely that is hardware issue
