Hey,I want to root my LG V50 (LM-V500N) but my phone can't go to bootloader and Recovery. When i access the above 3 modes it just reboots.Someone pls help me.Thank you so much.
I have the same issue with bootloader and recovery. for edl, sometimes i need to boot phone to download mode (hold vol up) and then hold vol down and power, and as soon as screen turns off, i spam volume up while continuing to hold the other two buttons. it can take a couple tries sometimes but you know it works when you hear the connected sound on the computer
hey, try to boot into qfil, flash engineering abl onto abl partition, and then reboot the phone and hold down volume down to boot into recovery. it should give you access to bootloader and you can get to recovery from there. i dont even know if its possible to break edl, i think if you do the trick where you first boot to download and then try to go boot to edl it could work.

Hi I have the following problem: after I flash Cannibal open touch recovery I could not flash any .zip file so I decided that I go back to CWM touch so I restarted my phone. Phone booted into fastboot mode with the following message no boot or recovery IMG so I decided to flash recovery with fastboot. I opened the folder with fastboot command flash_recovery connect the phone to usb but the command line always showed waiting for device. I unplugged the phone and tried to press the volume keys but nothing happened as if it freezes. I pulled the battery and try it again but no response. I cant connect phone to odin because it has broken power button and after I insert the battery it always turn on itself. Please advise me what to do thank you.
Seems your drivers have gone corrupt. Try a different system and use Nexus Root Toolkit.
I tried this option but without success. Phone does not respond to anything. No volume up or volume down. It´s just stucked on bootloader.
This link says that if you get <waiting for device> , then fastboot is not configured properly. Check out the link over here.
You may also try this command "fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.3-crespo.img" to boot into recovery without installing it.
no hope
The reason you cannot navigate in fastboot/bootloader is that your powerswitch is probably stuck in the "on position"...does your device immediately power on when battery is inserted?
The way i solved this a few months ago was to completly remove my powerswitch from the board power my device on..use quickboot to enter fastboot menu and input commands...
Also completely removing your power button makes powering on your nexus alot more complicated.
what i did was go to download mode (holding vol+ and -) and pluging phone in..this takes you to download mode
then you need to get a copy of a boatloader file to flash via odin which will reset your phone and power it on...pm me if interested i can provide you with files necessary
Hi,
After doing a factory reset, I disabled root in SuperSU. Upon restarting, the device refuses to boot and is stuck on booting animation.
I was trying to get into fastboot but had no success yet.
Can anyone help me with this?
Regards,
Are you trying to get into the boot loader ? OR the recovery? There is no such thing as getting into fast boot directly. You boot into the boot loader then typically can launch the fast boot application from your PC from there.
Root has nothing to do with the boot loader.
Make sure your holding down the power down button then power on. This will take you into the boot loader. From there you can select go into Fast Boot Protocol and should trigger the driver in your PC to connect the device (if it has not already - typically its already established). If in your device manager (PC) there is an exclamation then that means your driver for fastboot is hosed. Here are some instructions on how to fix them (scroll down):

Hold down the POWER button to power off the device, then hold VOLUME DOWN and tap POWER (don't hold it). The device should boot into the bootloader, at which point you can use VOLUME and POWER to select and boot into fastboot mode.
Thank you very much.
So i followed a thread and loaded a profile on a kernel manager, reboot and now i'm stuck with a black screen saying [random number] Fastboot mode enabled. I can't enter download mode for flashing stock rom or do anything else. Is there a fix for this?
Lg-H955 model
Push and hold Vol Down + Power, wait few seconds, the device is rebooting or power .
If the device is power off, or reboot, connect usb and release power button, just hold the vol down.
If your laf untouched, download mode is working and flash kdz.
You can't do anything via fastboot, all commands disabled, only some getvar working...

Can't poweroff the device... and power+vol brings always to the same fastboot screen =/
I also tried to flash laf.img from the kdz i had, but it fails
Fastboot is totally useless, because all commands disabled, you can't flash, erase, etc... I'm sure
If your laf is not working (i think, no working downlod mode, because reverted to fastboot) or your phone is not booted normally, your phone is bricked.
Only two solutions for you (currently)
1. LG Service
2. EMMC direct flash (require to desolder emmc chip from the pcb)

I'm in italy so lg service doesn't cover rooted devices =/. What's EMMC direct flash? If it's a hardware thing i guess i'm screwed
hello i m to unlock oem from adb and reboot tablet but it won't start only restart and go to boot mode volum down not working to choose fastboot
If english isn't your main language then use google translate and I'll try my best to understand.
Anyway, does adb recognize your device? Does adb devices returns devices attached and a serial number?
If so then try adb reboot bootloader
Or try manually booting with volume buttons, usually it's (Volume Up + Power) combination, on some devices it's (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power) combination.
You have to enable USB debugging and oem unlock in settings for any of this to work.
After successful booting to fastboot. Use fastboot oem unlock for older devices or fastboot flashing unlock for newer devices.
Then use fastboot reboot after successful unlocking. Note: Most devices use prompt to confirm bootloader unlocking which in turn requires the user to select "yes" with volume buttons.
If your device doesn't boot to bootloader and you have oem unlock and usb debugging on and tried all of the above. Then most likely your device bootloader cannot be unlocked, which explains why you can't find your device in XDA forums.
I did all of the above, but after unlocking oem, this is what the picture became
volumn down not working
I'm not following here, what exactly happened? Did you unlock the bootloader?
yes I unlocked the bootloader but after fastboot reboot it does not turn on it reboots only as shown in the video
Try booting into fastboot again and using flashing unlock_critical
I can not enter the fastboot mod because it does not work for me volumn down
Is your device detected on your PC? Try adb reboot bootloader
after unlocking oem, the tablet does not turn on and does not see the pc
Try connecting the device to your PC while pressing volume button to boot to bootloader. If it still doesn't boot then you can only fix the volume button.
Can you tell me what's your device model?
my model is x101 china model tablet .
boot only working volumn up
I can not choose boot mode
I never saw a bootloop after unlocking bootloader before. Maybe you modified your device in anyway before doing this? Like one click root apps or anything whatsoever?
If you can get volume down to work then you should be fine. Also try power button too pressing it should have the same effect as volume down.
I haven't modified anything. only the power button does not work only the volume up and the volume down is not pressed Please help me how to recovery system

Is your device battery removable? If so, remove it and wait 5 minuets and connect your device to your PC while pressing volume button to boot into bootloader.
If not then completely discharge your phone and wait for 24 hours. and then try connecting it to your PC while pressing volume button to boot into bootloader.

I discharged it but still nothing fixed
Hence the reason not buy cheap Chinese products. You can only take it to a service center to fix the volume down button.

If i want to go to EDL i have to hold power button with volume down.
both my power button and volume button are hardware damaged(they dont work at all).
Now i need to go to EDL without ghardware power and volume keys.
I tried to use adb and fastboot to go to EDL but my device is bricked so i cant use adb and fastboot either.
