Hi everybody, I'm trying to upgrade to EMUI8 from EMUI5. Since all the downloads from update.hicloud.com are broken, I was looking for the stock ROM files. The only thing I could find was https://androidhost.ru/1jg5.
Does this look legit? Does anybody know another location for a download of the stock ROM files?

I have a similar question because I bought the chinese Honor 20i and to unlock it's bootloader I had it converted to Honor 10i global version by https://ministryofsolutions.com/ Now the phone is running EMUI 9.1 and I wonder if SuperSU can be flashed on the current EMUI with TWRP or if Lineage OS, Resurrection Remix or any other custom ROM would work on this phone model. Now, I want to use aftermarket rom - os to get the latest available Android update with stable performance, which rom - os do you suggest for install (flash) on Honor 8 FRD-L09C185, preferably Android 8+

If you just want to be with Oreo, you can first download the last firmware for FRD-L09 at FirmwareFinder website. It's 3 files and you can flash them with HuRUpdater zip using TWRP 3.1.1-1 (openkirin edition I think)
To get any 8+ ROM to work you need EMUI8 firmware base. Maybe you are interested in rebranding your device, because there is no EMUI8 for C185 available. You can rebrand to C432, for example. But I don't know much about it and I suggest you do your own research before. Guides to this are available in guides section.
Otherwise you can flash any Android 7 ROM.

I sometimes think that my Honor 8 (FRD-L09) is the only one on the planet that didn't receive an update to Android 8.0 (Oreo). It said on the updates that it's the latest version. Is there a way to update it? I don't want to use something in official or that may void warranty.
P.S: Reply if you know how (NOT Honor 8 LITE or PRO)
It seems that you have Frd L09 c185 like me so you are not alone
Oreo for some reasons hasn't released for c185 model so you have to change your variant which needs open bootloader and twrp
Hi XDA! I'm stock with an issue about my Huawei Honor 4C device that's currently installed in a P8 Lite Marshmallow ROM. I'm trying to downgrade my device through UPDATE.APP from SDCARD but without success it failed to flash the firmware. Sadly it isn't rooted or unlocked bootloader therefore I can't force to flash any ROM.
Is there a way to rollback or flash another HONOR 4C ROM, coz I tried so many ROMs and this makes me frustrated. By the way, the installed ROM details are shown below.
