Persist.img File - ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019) Questions & Answers

Hello, is there anyone out there that can help me obtain a persist.img file from a zenfone 6 device? My gyro and camera are having issues and I believe it's tied to this.

I was able to pull my broken persist.img from my Android 11 firmware. Then I downgraded to stock Android 9 and all my sensors were restored so I pulled a persist.img from that build. Then, I tried to flash back to stock Android 11 and my sensors stopped working again for proximity and gyro. I tried to flash the persist.img file from the Android 9 working version but it did not fix anything.
Anyone have any ideas how I can run stock Android 11 w/ working gyro and proximity sensors? I have persist.img files now but flashing them to Android 11 stock does not correct the problem.

[Request] persist.img for OnePlus 7Pro

Hi,
So all my sensors on my OnePlus 7 Pro stopped working after upgrading to Android 10 and downgrading to Android 9.
I think reflashinh the persist partition will fix this.
So can someone please share their persist partition with me, you can use this app to extract it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ma.wanam.partitions
I'm running Oxygen OS version 9.5.11.GM.21AA
My phone model is: GM1913
Thanks
Just extract the partition from the payload.bin with a payload dumper

I tried that but it didn't produce a persist.img for some reason, maybe it included it in the vendor.img file.
So I went the MSM Tool route and flashed a new 9.5.11 ROM and the sensors are working again thankfully.
So here is a copy of my persist.img partition for anyone who might need it (Oxygen OS 9.5.11.GM21AA and my device model is GM1913):

I was just about to ask why you didn't use the MSM tool to restore everything. Glad that it's up and running for you.

Xiaomi Poco F1 touch not working after installing TWRP!

Hey guys i have an issue,
i was running Pixel Experience 10 but on MIUI 10, i couldn't update the last one so i thought to get back to stock rom, update to miui 11 and then get back to my Pixel rom. I DID A F*CKING MISTAKE. I installed the Miui 11 Update through TWRP without restoring the stock miui 10 rom. It worked but i had lost my Pixel rom ( i have a backup), ok then i installed TWRP at the MIUI 11 because recovery mode got me at Xiaomi Recovery for some reason. Inside the TWRP i flashed Disabled forc Encryption, but it didnt flash the Magisk, i reboot to system and after 100 bootloops i tried to go back to recovery mode, it boot at TWRP but since then, the TOUCHSCREEN DOESN'T WORK.. I used xiaomi mi flash tool to return to stock rom, it did, locked the bootloader etc...the touchscreen still doesn't work though... I can connect a mouse with OTG Type-C and i can do anything you tell me in order to fix it.. i have already update to MIUI 11, unlock the bootloader, installed TWRP and have Root. Has anyone any idea or a solution to try?
Thanks everyone in advance.

Android 10 problem with sensors

Hello,
I'm calling you in because I'm having a problem with the sensors on my oneplus 6. I had omnirom to install in version 10 without microg and gapps and I had no problem. I wanted to reinstall omnirom with microg because I had some problems with applications. I did a fresh install.
I use MSM Download android 8 sensors ok camera ok
fastboot oem unlock
update to OTA 32 Android 9.0.7 Sensors ok camera ok
fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-14-enchilada-pie-mauronofrio.img
I flash twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-installer-mauronofrio.zip and reboot
flash OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_040_all_1910270546_42a63.zip
flash twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-installer-mauronofrio.zip
flash OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_040_all_1910270546_42a63.zip
flash twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-installer-mauronofrio.zip
flash omni-10-20200330-oneplus6-WEEKLY.zip
flash twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-installer-mauronofrio.zip
flash omni-10-20200330-oneplus6-WEEKLY.zip
flash twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-installer-mauronofrio.zip
The sensors work but the camera doesn't.
I figure it's omnirom that's buggy. I try with a version I had installed earlier and I get the same problem. I have the same problem with Havoc OS 3.3. With or without root no difference.
So OxygenOS is the problem.
I try with OB5, 10.0.1, 10.3.0 and I have the same problem.
With versions 10.3.1 and 10.3.2 it's the other way around the camera works well but not the sensors (pocket mode, auto rotate, auto brightness etc).
I used msm download about ten times without success ....
I try without unlocking the bootloader with oneplus updates.
Update 9.0.7 camera ok sensors ok
Update 10.3.1 camera ok sensors nok
I'm getting a little desperate, I've spent many hours on the problem. I've searched the xda and oneplus forums without finding any solutions.
The USSD code *#808# for calibration displays a blank page.
I restarted my phone many, many times, erased all the data several times. I'm running out of ideas. I'm trying to drain the battery completely to see if that solves the problem.
I've been using custom roms since cyanogenmod and I've never encountered this kind of problem so I'm calling on you.
Thanks for your help
I have the same problem. Does no one use the OP6 anymore?

Just Flash Persist.img through fastboot (unlocked Bootloader). Google the img file and its easily available.
Commands are below. That is a known issue with OP6.
fastboot erase persist
fastboot flash persist persist.img

Won't boot to system after android 12 gsi flash

I flashed Pixel Experience 13 GSI with no faults but unfortunately as it's still in pre-release it has some issues and bluetooth didn't work for me so I tried to flash the Android 12 PE GSI again but now for some reason won't boot to recovery, if I flash the Android 13 version again it works fine and so does any Android 13 GSI but Android 12 GSI's will only boot to recovery, there are no error messages during fastboot flash, any suggestions are appreciated and I can provide any logs needed just let me know what is required.
Just to clarify I was already running the android 12 version of Pixel Experience before this
Re-flash Stock ROM.

Question Has anyone tried a GSI with Android 12 Firmware?

I would like to install a GSI on my A22 5G but I'm using the Android 12 Firmware and I can't downgrade to Android 11 due to Rollback protection. The problem is that the bootloader verifies the system image with vbmeta and I don't have a blank vbmeta for Android 12.
Yes ive tried it and it works fine with all the features.
