You may all have noticed that AudioFX/SoundFX never take effect when playing (.mp3 & .m4a) files by the default rom player (Eleven i.e) / other audio players like phonograph, Stellio ... etc
So this is how to fix this issue [in audio_policy_configuration.xml] :
- go to "compressed_offload" <mixPort>
. for MP3 Playback, make this change :
<profile name="" format="AUDIO_FORMAT_MP3"
to
<profile name="" format="AUDIO_FORMAT_MP3|AUDIO_FORMAT_MPEG"
=============================================================. for M4A playback, make this change :
<profile name="" format="AUDIO_FORMAT_AAC_LC"
to
<profile name="" format="AUDIO_FORMAT_AAC_LC|AUDIO_FORMAT_AAC"
Don't forget to give me credits in your rom changelog !
For noobs / trolls :
Yes, i know some audio players use their builtin Equalizer ... so don't come here to spam the thread with your blah-blah.
This is only for rom developers
