Hi, I have bought unlocked s21+ model number SM-G996U.
Here are the things that get me confused:
When is click software update, it show my phone up to date with software version G996USQU4AUF5 / G996UOYN4AUF5 / G996USQU4AUF5 security patch June 1, 2021.

So i suspecting my ota update not working so ive done some search.
IMEI info shows my phone region is CCT.
But service provider software version shows SAOMC_SM_G996U_OYN_GCF_RR_0010 GCF/GCF/XXA
Which tells the phone CSC is XXA right?
But from website https://samfw.com, firmware for CSC: XXA is for model SM-G996U1.
So the question is, since my current software version from the CSC: CCT list in the website, if I update to latest firmware for CSC: CCT, will it relock my phone?
Or should I choose the firmware for CSC: XXA? Thanks in advance.
If it's running well... I wouldn't update anything.
Updates tend to break things.
It's the first apk I package disable.
Many apps including system ones I leave at their factory load versions particularly Gmail and Gmaps. Playstore will need updating eventually or it will fail.
Two months ago the forced Wearables update screwed up my Buds+ sound bad. That was a pain to fix... now Wearables updates are firewall blocked.
Be careful what you wish for

as a year passed since i bought my Asus TF700KL in germany, I now decided to root it and change firmware.
In fact, this tablet was very slow, and the ram is always full. dunno what to do. I tried deactivating most of the asus apps and some google apps, but still is slow as I can't bear.
unfortunately I'm a noob, therefore I'll need your help
1) I follow the guide for rooting, but the app won't install... when I try to install the V7 unlock app, downloaded from asustek website, it just says that "app not installed". dunno what to do else.
I turned on the USB debut and unknown source installing, but nothing happened unfortunately
here's what happens

2) I wanted to upgrade the firmware.
my build number is IMM76D.WW_epad_V4.1.8.18-VF-20120920
what firmware do I have to install?
I see that on the website there are many:
Version V5.0.4.13
Version V5.0.4.10(VF)
Version V5.0.4.14
Version V5.0.4.14.VF
Version V5.0.4.15.VF
which is the one that I have to download? and what is the benefit I get from upgrading the firmware?
3) I've heard that some people have jelly bean on the transformer tf700KL.
I only have android 4.0.4
how do I install jelly bean?
The last one you listed.
The VF in your build number stands for Vodafone, the LTE carrier in Germany. So you want the VF version.
As to the update method, read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33552509&postcount=45
You may have better luck on a German forum. There's very little on the KL here on XDA....
unfortunately I don't speak german...
I am really sorry if this has been covered, but I am as useless understanding forums as I am with phones.
I have just used ODIN to put MARSHMALLOW on my S7. I found the list of firmwares so confusing and picked one from the list of SM-G930f, and chose one that ended in _BTU, as I thought it might be carrier free. I successfully put it on my phone without bricking it but it appears to be German. Everything does look like it works though.
Can someone please explain to me what I need to download for a carrier free, marshmallow, uk version.
I am desperate to avoid nougat as the reason I have had to mess with my phone is because after the OTA update to 7.0, android OS begun using data at a massive rate and I was unable to stop it NO MATTER WHAT.
Thank you for reading, any help appreciated in advance.
The final MM firmware for G930F (BTU United Kingdom) is G930FXXU1BPLB

Hey guys,
I have a big problem with my Mate 8. My build number was NXT-L29 C636 B170 and I never got any updates, because I was using this asian build with a european SIM-card. Because of these annoying notification bugs B170 has and because I was about to factory reset my phone I thought about updating it manually.
Tried to understand how all this works and started to do a small OTA update first to test if it's that easy. With the B180 from the screenshot of FF below I easily managed to update my phone.
What I tried next is to go to Android 7.0, so I used the selected blue FullOTA-MF-PV. My phone updated successfully and works really smooth, but now I see "NRD90M test-keys" as build number. I read a lot of bad things about this version because it seems to be a really early and bugged beta version and thats not what I need. I already wanted to try a factory reset but also read that you should completely avoid doing that.
I want to go back before anything unsuspected happens to my phone. My updater has gone, so I cannot install anything else. Can anyone explain for a newbie how to get back to my previous build?
Was it wrong to use the PV version?
What I want to reach then is an updated version of my phone software as a stable version.
Hope anyone can save my phone
Thanks in advance

I don't know for sure but think there is no actual difference. I've unlocked my bootloader and rooted being on latest 1CUA3 (11 Android) TGY without any issues. Then flashed 10 Android just to check some things and then flashed 11 Android back. Why do you want to use 10 android firmware? Want to stay on that version after root?

Yes currently on Android 10 and want to stay on it.
Will uogrwde once all bugs have been smoothed out.
Kinda like Android 10 stability and battery life
I got it. Then I would take the latest upload just in case. By the way, what's the name of app you use for this? I'm usually downloading to my PC using Frija app for Windows.
Hello Friends, I recently bought a s22 Ultra in the Netherlands to bring with me back to Brazil and I found out, when setting the phone up, still in europe that Samsung Pay would not open, it says it is not compatible with my phone
I am thinking of flashing a firmware from a different region, but I do not know which one will work
Have you guys got any insight in this?

Ok, so I went ahead and decided to download multiple firmwares from S908B page on Samm website and after realizing they were all the same file (size was the same to the kilobit), I flashed only one to test, the BLE variant, which I believe is UK unbranded.
It did not work, Samsung pay was still unavailable. The thing that is funny, is that, my phone has a brazilian sim card, in brazil and it still register as EUX in the About Software section.
These multiple CSC firmwares are all registering as EUX in my phone, I dont know why.
Now I should Rephrase my initial question, which changed from is it safe to change firmware to:
How the hell can we get samsung pay on the S908B (Exynos) variant?
