I have managed to pull the needed files for development of this device. This includes the full rip and the created vendor/motorola/minsk files. I hope this helps some of you to get developement rolling on this device. I am attempting to build LineageOS as I type this. They can be found here:

I've changed the prefix of your thread from "Development" to "General" as the thread didn't qualify for the first one. Please refer and read the guidance that is stuck at the top of the forum prior to your next post and do not change the prefix back. Thanks for your cooperation.

Are you using pre-built generic GSIs or are you attempting to build from scratch? I have not ever attempted to use a GSI on any phone I have owned.
Apparently my device tree is invalid. The odd thing is, the vendor tree created by the extract-files.sh from it seems to be fine. Is anyone here reading capable of providing some assistance with this? I am nearly at wits end, spending hours of reading and doing, but spinning my wheels. Any help would be appreciated. I am going to keep trying until after the new year. If still no progress, I am going to sell this phone and get a Mi 11 Lite.
Well, I don't have any appreciable skill myself to help out, but yeah, I appreciate your efforts, and hope you figure it out. There's seemingly little activity around development for this device at the moment, but I am sure many people are looking on in silence waiting for some options to emerge. Anyway, good luck with the efforts--even though you might not see a lot of chatter, lots of folks are cheering you on!

Not good. I never got it to build. I have not had time since December to get back to it. Been too busy with other projects.

First of all, i hope the mods and admins forgive me that i open this thread in the development section, it would better fit to general, but i noticed that the developers aren't really present at the general section, if i'm wrong please move it.
This thread is build to become an collection of our developers knowledge that helps newcomers to androiddevelopment to start with it. I know out there are some guides already and in every thread there's a little bit of it, but i would really like to collect as much as possible at one place, if it's not your opinion delete it.
It's not ment to become an step by step guide (but if anyone will write one i'm sure not upset ), it should be an collection of links, and posts of special parts of development, cause i think most developers aren't the overall specialists, but kings in their section^^ and the readers of these informations can compile what they want from it.
So pls dear android developers share your knowledge with us

Yes sure! But a few years ago an XDA user created a table with a full list of Custom ROMs with its characteristics ..
I was wondering if there was such a thingu pdated so you can see all existing ROM. The idea was to understand and see what are the ROM based on AOSP and which on the other for any devices.
As a senior member on xda, you should know how to use the search tools by now, or at least know an appropriate area to ask for help in.
XDA Assist is here to help new members find their way around, it's not a search tool for senior members. Nor is it a support desk.

Hi,
first post on this forum -> hope this is the right section, sorry if it isn't.
So I'm here because I have a problem regarding the building process of AOSP for the sony XA2
I'm following those steps : developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/guides/aosp-build-instructions/build-aosp-nougat-8-1-oreo-4-4
(adding https for opening)
The problem appears on step 4, part 4 : I do not have the repo_update.sh
So first question very simple, does anyone has it ? what am I missing.
Although I'm not especially new to development, I found it on the repo (don't know why it does not come still -> I suppose it's not in the manifest, yet why is it suppose to be in the tutorial ?)
The next question are regarding my newbie state in android development / flashing / OS
Cause next I would need to flash the boot.img vendor etc . . . I did not find nowhere the explanation of where to find those and I'm kind of frustrated of finding absolutely nothing EXPLICIT on the matter.
So could someone point me to a newbie tutorial / explanation please ? or directly explain it to me if it's not too long.
For the record, I understood what those images are, I just don't know where to find them.
ok It's more a general confusion due to the fact that I'm new to Android than anything else still, I need answers
Thank you for your responses in advance.

I don't have this device and I've never personally built a ROM before but, you should be able to obtain some member guidance within one of the following threads.

There's more on the forum but, these should give you a good start.
Good Luck!

I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.
Ok truth is, I think something is wrong with my system, I have a linux 17 maybe it's not the right one to do this, I tried with a 'normal' 16.04, I went further, have other problems, but I'm finding solutions on the forums.
Precisely in the links you gave me so thanks for answering the questions that I did not have time to ask ^^
Thank you for your help, have a nice day.

I see. I'd like to apologise for my prejudice. I hope it will be moved to its right section.
Until then, I'll test your work soon. Looks promising though I hope there would be more details.
No problem man I'm just new. work is stable but just wanted to compile and slap on the net cause of being lazy. If support grows and there are wishes for it I can of course make flashable zips which are user friendly. My main goal is to research about kernel development and make a slim kernel/debloated for stability and performance. However that is still WIP as for now development is stock untouched both kernel and rom. Im also having issues with space management but maybe in the future will setup a buildbot on cloud triggered by commits all is possible. As for now as I said was hoping for some support as I'm alone in this. Thanks for the good words
ive extracted fw+vendor 14-02-019 9.0 because i have seen noone update lately. you can get it from my channel
*another update* 70hz on extremekernel never worked for my device. i have compiled kernel r158 from extremekernel sources unofficially with 69hz and my device is working stable with it. get the flashable zip from my channel and let me know if it works for you too
I am running a kernel experiment please participate in the poll
Not updating this thread anymore. Double work. Many updates with details on channel. Check out
development will be in a closed group only. reworked soon on development forum

Hello everyone,
please move my post if this is the wrong place to go. I am working in a small IT-Company which shortly is going to get rid of 400 Tablets (TERRA / Wortmann Modell 1004 1005 and 1006). I am trying to rescue thise tablets, flash those and donate them. I was searching like all day for firmwares and could absolutley not find anything. I tried also an erasure software which told me that those tablets are rooted (so maybe I was not the only one trying to check for options). I was thinking to also pay someone to get those tablets up and running again to send them to India or Ukraine. Anyone knows what we could do about them, would offer support or point us into the right direction?
Cheers
