Question ECG in Samsung Health app? - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Hey
Where can i see my ECG records in the Samsung Health app? Its all calibrated with the Samsung Health Monitor app, or is this the only place to see this?
Cheers

Samsung Health Monitor - its different than Samsung Health - this is where you get to see the graphs
See here as you may need to take steps to enable and use it depending on your location:
[RESTRICTIONS-REMOVED] Samsung Health Monitor - WearOS - 1.1.3.002 - Root, Age, Country & Device Restriction Removed - 23rd May 2023
Hello Everyone, I hope you all are fine... ~~~ WearOS WATCHES ONLY ~~~ ~~~ FEATURES, BUGS & FUTURE WORKS~~~ FEATURES: Works on Samsung Watch4 and Watch5 (as mentioned Samsung WearOS Watches), Multilanguage, no root detection, no country...

I have done this, Blood Pressure data is showing in the Samsung Health app, but no ECG info, its only in the monitor app.

You need to download the Samsung Health monitor app on your phone to see the graphs

I am using the correct apps!
Its just I thought ECG data would show up in the Samsung Health app (it shows in the monitor one).

ECG is a graph, if you think about it logically, theres no way to present that in the concise gui that Samsung health uses...Samsung Health is more of a concise overview of easily digested metrics, where as ECG is a linear graph, the two are not really compatible
Also figure in Samsung Health Monitors main purpose is to export that graph as a PDF, so its ideally not even meant to be viewed on the device at all...

ECG never syncs to Samsung Health, it never did since the beginning and I don't think it will sync in the future

I was able to install Phone.WearOS.SHM.MOD.1.1.1.171.dante63.apk on my phone and Watch4.SHM.MOD.1.1.0.185.dante63.apk on my watch using the procedures documented. I could not get these two apps to communicate. The phone app looked for the watch, but couldn't find it and eventually timed out. Has Samsung made further changes to their software to keep this from working or is there something else going on? Any insights would be most appreciated. Thanks.

1st of all you'll need to download the file "FeatureManagerOn" from the XDA Google drive downloads link found here admittedly while @Dante63 is good at unlocking these apps I don't think much to the layout of his/her guides. Look for "~~~ FILES and Description ~~~" download link will be under that, it's important to have this file sitting as such (root of Android phone) /DOWNLOAD/SAMSUNGHEALTH/FeatureManagerOn before following (opening the Samsung health app)
Open the latest version of Samsung health app, mines (6.21.2.007) just in case they lock it down even more... so if you'res is newer by the time you see this and the instructions I'm giving don't work, they probably locked it down more, press the "3 dots" found at the top right hand side, press "settings" scroll all the way down till you see about samsung health, press the version number several times till the option "set features" shows up, don't mistake this for "developer mode"
Once inside set features change health analysis to dev, and set data platform to enable developer mode
While I am supplying help here I am in no way saying I've done this to my watch 4, however I'm very happy that non Samsung smart phones are able to get the same level of data. Shame on Samsung for locking this up, joke is they are running the watch and their phones off of a open source operating system they are not apple and they should be opening this up to everyone, the code the lot. as they agreed to use a open source operating system and are profiting from it so should be giving back to the community, that they rely on, I'm disgusted with this company's behaviour and mistreating of code which by nature isn't theirs and shouldn't be locked down, all Android phones can run this there's no hardware reason... They are not apple they didn't build wear os or android.
So thank you @Dante63 I know it seems like I'm criticising you're work but I'm not, it's just that this shouldn't be a requirement for this to all work with standard non Samsung phones and the whole situation has annoyed me please write down how to do the steps in you're guide I literally didn't watch the video till after 9 attempts

Non taken, there is a written guide in Google drive, you can see a READ ME file, and on the thread (but briefly due to XDA characters limit)...

I didn't expect a reply, you're a legend for getting this working please keep updating/unlocking the APK files for Samsung health monitor, till Samsung see sense at least
Another app that needs unlocking is the Samsung galaxy wearos app found here, and there's another variant of the health app found here, give them no where to hide unlock everything I say including all the stuff off their galaxy store... Which is locked to Samsung phone it's outrageous!
Thanks again @Dante63

Hi all, got the phone and watch mods installed and now have both blood pressure and ECG. The blood pressure syncs to the Health Monitor app but not the ECG. The ECG tab says it can't connect to my watch while the blood pressure tab does. Any clue?

[Q] S Health Ecosystem notifications on note 3

I am getting several notifications from "s health ecosystem" and I am wondering how to mute them. They are pointless and kind of ugly being that they have a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle of it. If you touch them they do nothing, and the explanation detail is truncated.
Anyone figure out a way to get rid of these? They seem to be triggered by data passing between the watch and the fitness app.
i have the same issue . now that i got the gear 2 neo at times it will get 70+ notifications
very annoying

I believe it's happens depending on your sync of smasung account to health app, i changed mine to sync every 6 houts and haven't gotten it yet. But yesterday non-stop i was like really!? lol
related to launcher?
It seems like these notifications are related to the fact that I'm using the Nova launcher instead of Samsung's, so I'm being warned about some nefarious third-party contact. I can't even get to S Health from Nova, but my Gear Fit seems to be trying to communicate with it. It's a bit if a nuisance that I can't get to S Health, because the Gear Fit Manager doesn't provide nearly as much functionality. I hate all this walled-garden nonsense...
UPDATE:
A footnote on the Samsung App site (use the three blue lines in the upper right or scroll down in the left nav to Device and Content > S Health): "As of April 2014, these S Health features are only available on the Galaxy S5. Soon they will also be available on other devices, via app updates." I wonder how long that will take?

Hmm, I am using Google experience launcher - so maybe it is a launcher issue. Anyone running TouchWiz having this problem.
On the note 3 you have to delete s-health and health services. side loading these cause problems with the fitness with gear app. if these aren't installed the fitness with gear app will sync with your samsung account and work fine. by installing both it causes conflict as both are more or less the same. Not sure why everyone is hell bent on having s-health as fitness with health works great. as for the notifications, that pops up when the app syncs your data to your samsung account. i have mine set at 12 hours. there is no way currently to stop the notifications only changing the time period it syncs. hope this helps.

I am having this same exact problem. Running stock touchwiz and not rooted.
Same problem here as well.
Is there a resolution to this issue?
This sucks, these are annoying. I might expect this kind of thing with a hack or custom rom but I am bone stock note 3 and this seems kind of ridiculous. Makes you wonder if anyone at Samsung actually used this thing for a week before releasing it.

Phone Battery Level Indicator on Watchface

The new Gear Watch Designer is great but it seems to be lacking one particularly important indicator.
It would be great to have a condition for watchface design that shows the battery charge level of a connected phone, not just the battery level of the watch itself.
Is there any way in which this could be added using the Gear Watch Designer or some other method?
Thanks
I believe it can only be added by a companion android app. Unless the designer devs come up with a way to generate a generic android app for that or Samsung updates their accessory service to let watch faces access that info, it's not going to happen.
If you know how to code an Android app, it is actually very easy to get that information.

All in One! watch face ($1.99 I think) has an option to show phone battery level. You have to have to install a phone app called "Gear Data Provider". It works great with my Galaxy S4.

Any advice?

On my Galaxy S4 phone in the USA, I start the Samsung Gear app, then select Samsung Galaxy Apps and Samsung Gear Apps pops up. Then, I touch "Top" which is to the right of Category and Staff Picks. Once there, I touch "Top free" and change it to "Top paid". It's the very first item in the list - All in One! In the "description" area of the watch face details, the dev (Alex Rokhlov) explains how to download Gear Data Provider from Google Play Store. There it's called GDP. Here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=shu.gear.data
Good luck!
I have found a way to get the battery of the connected phone via tasker and the Taskers2 app on the gear s2. Just make a task in tasker that displays the battery level on the notification bar of the phone for three seconds, and then removes it. It will then display your phones battery % on your gear s2. Its not integrated into the watch face, but it works for me.
You will need to have Tasker, Tasks2 on your watch, and the paid companion app TaskS2

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using XDA Labs
Now that WatchMaker is compatible with the Gear, you can use that to show Phone Battery Level as well as Watch Battery Level. However, the Step Counter and Weather Information are both not working properly, unless Im missing something in the settings of the app.
Weather works.
Steps.... not really but sometime.

Question health platform on watch not updating

my watch OS and phone apps are updated, but trying to update the health app on the watch gives "this app is no longer is no longer available or supported in this country or on this device".
The watch was bought in US and I live in Peru.
What can be done?
I had a similar issue and it was fixed by fully configuring the Health Platform App on the phone. Keep your Galaxy Wear App connected to the Watch during the configuration and it will also update the App on the watch.

Maybe your phone hardware and software setup is different. I was getting that message when I tried to update the Health Platform on both my Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic and after configuring the Health Platform on the phone the error message went away. Now all the Samsung Apps on my watches are up to date. Try disconnecting the watch from WiFi and BT, clear the data and force stop the HP App on the phone. Aftewards, reconnect the watch and reconfigure HP again. That's all I got.

Question How to backup Watch4 app data and downloaded watch faces?

Hello community!
The built-in backup feature is extremely limited, and almost useless because it essentially backs-up only the Quick Settings screen and a handful of other Settings.
All downloaded watch faces as well as other apps (and app data) are excluded from the backup.
I have sideloaded this File Manager using EasyFireTools.
File Manager - Apps on Google Play
Fast, easy-to-use and full-featured file manager app with cloud integration.
play.google.com
This file manager allows me backup all apks, as well as connect to my phone and PC wirelessly over the network.
But the main issue is app data. None of the watch faces come with a configuration file that can be exported/ imported, so every watch face has to be setup from scratch each time.
Is there a simpler way to backup watch face configurations as well as other Apps'data?
Thanks.

I use thema watch faces (for example I use this Chrono) and it comes with a partner app on your phone to customize more settings and it has a built-in setting saver. While not all watch faces have this, it is amazing and thema has a ton available on the playstore. They're all free with limited options but the settings save options are free and a single iap for unlocking all options.

I have seen some of the watch faces from thema and others like RichFace, whose phone apps look similar.
Most of the features are locked behind a paywall. Does one have to buy each feature separately or buying once unlocks all features?
On the Play Store, they say x dollars per item. So not sure what exactly that means.
It is per watchface for thema unfortunately. But it's not unreasonable to me. Less than $2 and I use Google opinion rewards and I get $2 worth of credits in less than a month for Google play so like I said imo I don't think it's much.

Sure, the payment for each watch face is separate. That is obvious.
My question is regarding features inside each watch face. For example, weather update, Google Fit integration, Samsung Health integration, AOD customisations, etc. are all locked behind a paywall.
Is the payment for each of these features separate, or just a single payment is required to unlock all premium features inside the watch face?
The 'Buy premium' option is shown separately against each of the premium feature. That is what is confusing. Does the 'Buy premium' unlock all premium features inside the watch face, or just that particular feature?

They should make that clear on the store description. They say x dollars per item, hence the confusion.

Watch faces from RichFace, Thema, and others have pretty much everything locked behind a paywall. There is no way to test and see how the watch face would look after the user configures it the way he likes.
Going through the refund process of in-app purchase is a pain. Plus there are often licence verification issues on devices with multiple Google accounts.
I would rather install a paid app, see how it looks, and opt for refund with a single click if I don't like it.

That's pathetic despite Android now being over 12 years old in commercial business. This is one area where Apple products are clear winners. They allow you to backup ALL app data, even if not the app themselves.
With Wear OS, the backup doesn't even include the downloaded watch faces themselves. One can't even unpair the watch without factory resetting it. When there are such limitations, the backup should be more elaborate and include the app data, including for downloaded apps and watch faces.

I've been trying to find any useful information on trying to backup my Facer and WatchMaker face files to a microSd card because faces on the app I've download seem to dissappear. If I've paid for a membership I'd think I'd have the right to back them up but I haven't been able to find anything. Searching through my file manager trying to even find anything resembling watch faces or the apps themselves is like looking for a UFO at Walmart. What the heck. There has to be a way to back them up. Anyone?
According to some info people gleemed in the files in a recent Google play services update, Google is working on a more thorough backup feature for wear os but I wouldn't count on it to backup everything
I am also now trying to find this, because I had purchased watch faces that for some reason unknown have now been removed from the playstore after being there for years, I wasn't expecting to loose a number of my watch faces, wouldn't have cared so much if they were free the face was from watchfacestudio com.watchfacestudio.tagcarrera. As mentioned in the OP, you can install the file manager linked there and backup the watch faces you want, just as would backup any app on the phone. If the watch faces get booted from the Play Store or you don't find them from their original source, you can simply reinstall the apk from your backup above and it will work just fine.
No need for root to backup (and reinstall) just the watchface apk.

General What can your smartwatch do?

Hello community!
This is an idea gathering exercise.
For a while since I purchased it, I never bothered with my Galaxy Watch4 (my first smartwatch). But as I'm now tinkering with it, I find it quite interesting. Here is a list of what my watch can do:
01. Show me a whole lot of information. I have 3 favorite watch faces, each configured to give me a different set of information. All I have to do is simply change the watch face and they tell me much of what i want to know. Actually, this one watch face tells me pretty much everything I need to know.
02. Navigation on the wrist.
03. Notifications from my phone.
04. Managing phone calls.
05. Wirelessly transfer files among all my devices like watch, phone, laptop and NAS. I use the following two apps for this purpose:
1. File Manager
2. WiFi Pro FTP server
06. Listen to music using Samsung Music app. I haven't had the need to install another music app.
07. Watch videos using the watch companion of this app: Sun Player. You don't need this app on your phone.
08. Stream YouTube videos using NewPipe.
09. Manage my emails. I have installed Microsoft Outlook, Samsung Email, FairEmail and K-9 email apps. But I haven't configured any yet, except for Microsoft Outlook.
10. Browse the internet using Samsung Internet browser.
11. Read PDF using built-in PDF reader of X-Plore File Manager.
12. Read e-books using AIReader.
13. Control the basic functions of my Samsung TV using SmartThings app.
I know I have left out the single biggest thing that most people use a smartwatch for: Health Tracking. I don't use it because much of that is gimmicky stuff and one must not rely on the number game when it comes to health matters. Things like an app reminding one to drink water is one of the most absurd things that people would use.
Some of the apps are Android apps meant for the phone. But they are quite usable on the watch too. I sideload them using one of the following apps:
1. Easy Fire Tools
2. Bugjaeger

Telling time... after all, it is a watch.
see the date, time and weather
Start my car, open the garage door and control all alexa enabled devices plus all of the usual stuff...
It does so many things. But my life is also just fine without it.

Let me guess: you have setup Alexa or Google Assistant on your phone and use voice commands on your watch. These things are quite impressive, but personally I'm not comfortable in allowing apps to constantly keep listening to my conversations.

Absolutely. They are just too far from being a necessity. On the contrary, they are more of a distraction and contribute to loss of application of human faculties.
I shut off the listening part in both Alexa and Google Assistant, and just use the buttons to start the app...
