Hello people,
I bought a used TrekStor Surftab theatre L15 TFMTKAW01232 and the MT8163 in the hope that I can repair it.
The problem with the device is that it is not possible to boot and after pressing the Volume + and On button for some time, I get into the boot menu. Here I have the choice of recovery, fastboot, norma bootl. No matter which selection I make, the tablet remains dark and nothing happens next.
I got myself a USB-A to USB-A cable and searched for the original Rom and found it. When trying to flash it with the SP_Flash_Tool I get the error "ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_JUMP_DA_FAIL".
What I notice is that the device seems to stay connected via USB only very briefly. I have already installed several drivers and in the tool it also shows me
the connected device "MediaTek USB Port_V1633 (COM4 on)".
Do you have any other idea how I could solve the problem?
Hi,
could you help me please?
I have here same model as you mentioned for repair.
A reverse polarity power source was attached to it, which resulted in a burned chip.
That chip I am unable to identify because it was destroyed.
I am attaching a photo of the mainboard where I've marked the position of that chip.
Would it be possible for you to have a look at your board and take a picture of the chip for me?
I would really appreciate it!
Thank you!

Hi,
Can anyone help me, why my bricked Flytouch (ePad) won't be recovered by manual flashing? (SD card flashing doesn't work, the tablet displays no picture, and only the green LED lights). Previous owner updated it with an incorrect SW.
I downloaded BurnTool, and 1170 update, connected the ePad to PC with USB cable (cable plugged into the top USB socket on the USB/Ethernet adaptor). PC recognizes, that there is an unknown USB device, but i cannot install Burntool's driver (32bit XP; it doesn't accept the driver for this device), or flash it with Burntool. (The status bar in Burntool window doesn't set to green).
It is not sure that is a Superpad or sg. ... I have some pictures of it, inside, and outside, but i actually cannot insert them... See on attachments, but they are limited to 640x480... I can send a better quality ones...
Code on the PCB is WMS-8088B, CPU board is WMS8060B2... i think it's a 256Mb-version, originally came maybe with Android 1.6.
Can anyone help me in this issue?
Hello, I have a problem with my MK809IV stick. It seems to be a hardware problem or a feature of my device, maybe you can help me. I can't flash any rom to my stick, because when I plug it in my PC, I have a message "USB device not recognized". I tried different methods, such as pressing Reset key or making contact between 8 and 9 pads of NAND - no result. At first case I can see an Android picture on the screen (sure, if I connect it to TV), at second case nothing really happens: even CPU stay cold, no picture on sreen.
As I know, it's a problem of devices (not only MK809IV), which have PCB, marked CYX_809III V5_0 20140510.
Please, help. My device works bad, there is a low FPS in films, and I can't flash any ROM. I spent a lot of hours trying different methods and searching for information.

I have the same device, having the same issues, and i have tried almost all what you have done so far. Really looking forward, if some one could help with this. I want to install linux on this tv stick.
Look at this thread:
w w w.freaktab.com/showthread.php?15752-CYX_809III-V5_0-20140510-%28CX-919-MK809IV-clone%29-not-connecting-to-PC-as-USB-device-for-flashing-rooting
It is almost the same device (same PCB, but sell as a "CX919"). We are able to boot on linux with an sd-card, but (up to now) I cannot make the wifi works (it is a uncommon wifi module: ESP8089).
I made an album with a ton of photos of what I've got access to. Hopefully it helps

I bought a display unit at an auction and it's in android's Kiosk mode. I'd like to be able to use the screen for a few things but I really want to get access to Chrome at a minimum.
I got a keyboard hooked up to it via bluetooth but I'm having difficulty getting anything else done. It's only got an ethernet port and micro USB, no other buttons to get into a boot recovery that I can find. After breaking it down a bit, it does have what appears to be UART pads on the motherboard. I don't know if it helps any but I've got a UART adapter. Plugging the device in via USB only shows "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android)" and not much else. It shows up in device manager as 2 storage devices.
Any help getting me up and running will be met with hi-fives!
Thanks guys.
Damn I think I got into the bootloader but it's in chinese.
Hello,
i have a big problem with an Allview windows 10 tablet, during windows 10 reset i got a blue screen and my tablet got stuck into a boot loop restarting after windows logo appears. It didnt boot from windows usb stick that i made with rufus in multiple ways with different settings and when i was trying to get it boot from usb i accidentally disabled XHCI or EHCI from bios ,the attached keyboard does not respond, otg cable connected keyboard does not respond, touch not working.
Any solution will be greatly appreciated,
Thank you.
The only option I can suggest is to open it up, desodder the battery (as it's soldered to the motherboard). Wait for a couple of minutes (maybe even hours) and then solder the battery back in and see if the BIOS has been reset.
This may work similarly to taking out the CMOS battery and putting it back in.
I can provide you with this info as I've just stumbled upon your post having the same issue as you. I haven't yet tried this method as I don't have the tools required to desolder the battery right now but I'll post an update as soon as I can to let you know if it worked.
There's also a debug header available on the board but no resources online on how to use it.
I have an amlogic tv box that i want to revive. Its a generic chinese box.
With a lot of help of the community i managed ti identify the board, Is the one from this link:
https://www.szjytx.com/?id=13299
The one from the link (as you can see by the photos i posted) is the same one physically. The only thing i couldn't identify was the real processor (the manufacturer was faking it), because when i removed the heat ink, the painting on the chip got erased.
So i started to experiment with it.
I couldn't find any ROM for the processor that that chinese page says (S905L-B)
After various tries , I could install twrp (for the s905w processor)
The first working one was one for the "x96 mini", it worked but it only showed 1/4 of the total screen.
Then i tried one for the tanix tx3 mini, and it worked like charm, i could backup and restore roms.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that introduction, here's the problem:
The box has no reset button, so the only roms i could try were from twrp update zips.
So, as i did with the recovery, i tested first installing a "x96 mini" rom, and i had the same result, a bootable rom showing 1/4 of the screen.
The next was to try a "tanix tx3 mini" rom, and after the flash it never booted again (not even the logo), so i think is bricked at bootloader level. Te power led powers on, but no image.
I think my only hope to revive it is to flash a rom trough the amlogic burn tool.
The problem is that the device can't be recognized by the tool.
i only had partial luck /really strange behavior) with a malfunctioning usb male to male cable, testing it sometimes it got recognized for a few seconds (of course i couldn't install any rom with that little gap).
With a brand new male to male usb cable it gets nothing.
This new cable works, because the power led of the device turns on, but it doesn't get recognized by windows or the tool.
I know that there's a method to force the box to go to download mode, by shorting two pins, but i cant tell what pins are the correct ones, o some hint to it.
I attached pictures form both sides of the board.

Thanks in advance
I am having the same problem. Did you solve the problem?
