Some say it's emmc chip failure but I read a forum here ( that's for another phone); in that post, someone posted exactly the same errors and he managed to fix the issues. I will post the link to that forum if I found it.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The phone was on charging and I pulled out the charging cable and turned it on and after powered by Android screen this recovery screen appeared out of nowhere. It was on charging overnight.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BY FAR WHAT I HAVE PERFORMED
1. I did wipe the cache partition first. - no use
2 Then I downloaded the firmware (2 firmware) and Qualcomm USB loader 9008 drivers and qpst and qpil, after that, I copied the firmware zip files in phone's sd card and tried the " support from SD card" option in " recovery mode ", didn't work, stopped automatically, it was so quick that I couldn't read the errors.
3 Now I tried to wipe data/ factory reset - nothing happened, the process started and stopped automatically.
4 I tried to flash rom on it, ERROR - download fail sahara fail, sahara server fail. Every single time, I changed the versions of flash tool USB drivers, old versions, latest versions, my laptop is flooded with unnecessary versions, it drive looks pretty messed up right now. Zip files and extracted files everywhere.
5 at this point I tried adb and fastboot, adb devices command shows my device name successfully but after that no command works, sometimes it showed failed or sometimes - waiting for device.
Sometimes it keeps saying - *failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *

Stuck in a bootloop

Hello everybody!
I'm posting today cause I got stuck in a bootloop when trying to factory reset from a freshly flashed Asus stock rom.
I was previously tinkering with cynaogenmod installs when I found myself facing those kind of errors:
Code:
E: Can't mount / cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount / cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open / cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount / cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open / cache/recovery/last_log
Since I was unable to flash anything from that point via recovery, I flashed the latest asus stock rom via fastboot and the tablet booted again.
Then I flashed CWM recovery to be able to flash CM11 again but I got the "Can't mount" errors again so I booted the tablet on the stock rom and tried a "Factory reset" from the Settings menu...
Now I'm stuck on this nice screen and everytime I try to coldboot the tablet I'm unable to access fastboot anymore... It boots directly to that screen and never gets past it!

You should NEVER use the "Wipe Data" option from the bootloader or factory reset from Settings with a custom recovery installed! Any kind of wipe or format can and should be done from recovery.
But don't worry - you'll be fine.
The factory reset command starts the recovery and asks it to wipe the data partition. And you keep interrupting it. I've seen your scenario a number of times. Connect your tablet to a power source and let it do it's thing. Go to bed. Sleep over it. The next morning it'll most likely be finished.
And before you flash anything else, check your bootloader and recovery versions. Most likely one or both are incompatible with CM 11 or each other.
I've done the exact same thing, was in a hurry and wasn't thinking... I never usually do a factory reset from settings, I don't know what I was at. I hope your right and it will come on eventually. I can't boot to Recovery I can't boot to fastboot, nothing works... Its a nice brick at the moment. Did you ever get this sorted?

[Q] Help, I think I brick my THL T11

Hello everyone.
Sorry
Here is my situation:
THL T11 has 3 actual button, power, volume up and volume down.
I have THL T11 with MT6592 use it since early July.
Last month my thl earphone behaving weird by using it, the phone speaker is making sound too. Both are making sounds.
I try to use it on my laptop (win7 home premium x64 ram 4GB) but my earphone working fine, only in the phone it's behaving weird.
Last week when I dismount my sd card and mount it again, my music list is empty, but you can still play it via file manager.
After trying rescan media and many other softwares like that I'm hopeless so I thought maybe rooting it will fix it.
So I rooted the device with Rootgenius because when using Framaroot it is failed.
But still, it didnt fix it, I get root though.
Then I thought maybe flashing the phone is the only way.
So I go into recovery mode by holding volume up + power, and then choose factory reset and then choose yes, and then boom!!!
MY PHONE CANNOT BOOT, JUST DISPLAYING THL LOGO AT FIRST AND THEN BLACK SCREEN.
What the hell wrong, I want to factory reset yet it only brick my own phone -..-
So after searching in forum basicly I tried:
Instal adb driver
Pdanet 4150
MtkDroidTools v2.5.3
SP Flash tool v3 and v5
download the original THL T11 rom
usb driver
but to no avail.
It doesn't work at all.
Basicly if you want using spflashtool you must go in usb debugging mode, how can I even do that, my phone doesn't even boot.
Tried installing adb pda driver different version for mt6592 still when I connect the phone it does seem connected, cause it make voice of connected usb but still no sign in device manager on my laptop
I use mtk droid root & tools v2.5.3 , in (root backup recovery tab) I choose recovery from boot.img that i backed up before

Still everything is not working, any solutions?
Don't tell me to instal adb driver, I already tried many drivers still no sign in Device Manager on my laptop

This is the answer
Afer that all you have to do is flash your phone

[Bricked Nexus 5] can't mount /persisit ,/data; Currupt Partition; Flashing Failed

My rooted Nexus 5 has got bootloop issue because of faulty power button. It keeps restarting on its own. After replacing the power button with new One from LG Service center, now it stuck
at marshmellow boot screen, that boot keep running entire day untill battery died. LG Service center guys told me to replace the mother board. Since i was not convinced, i decided to make sure
if it is really required. My Nexus 5 has CWM recovery ver 6.0.4 with usb debugging on. Fastboot, adb everything is working. But if i tried to flash / wipe or mount i simply get error
can't mount /persist
cant mount /data
I tried following links to fix it-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...-unbrick-nexus-5-stucked-qualcomm-hs-t3043301
https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...orial-how-to-flash-factory-images-lg-t2713833
and some other first hand advice like run "Flash-all.bat" from stock rom, use WUG Toolkit to fix soft brick and flash stock rom or try flashing another custom recovery. But no matter what i try
CWM never get replaced and again same error. i was able to flash TWRP ( only untill reboot)and able to see folders under File Manager. But can't select Data, persist if try to wipe or mount from there.
One thing though, While using LG Flash tool my device never got detected in the tool even though i could see LG USB Serial Port under device manager in PC.
Please suggest if there is anything can be done to get it into working mode ,or motherborad replacement is the only way to go ahead.
You could try repartitioning device. try doing this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...guide-repartition-nexus5-to-increase-t3509880
Actually resizing system partition also deletes userdata partition and it should work after recreating it. You have nothing to loose if it is already broken.
Try flashing the oldest stock ROM from the Google site. Make sure to flash userdata.img and perform a factoru wipe before booting the phone for the first time.

Okay. Let me just try what you said. Will post the result
Edit1 -
I was not able to unmount /cache, /data .
On umount /cache it restart on its own and for other unmount /data and unmount /system invalid argument.
This is what happend (See image)--

I am really sceptical if this will work. Since I have already tried flashing oldest rom of marshmallow (6.0.0).
Anyways, it won't take much time so will try to flash KitKat and let you know.
Edit -
Result was as expected
remote : failed to erase partition
remote : flash write failure
Any other Help ?? How to make sure if its really hard brick and not soft brick?
Sounds like the internal memory chip is damaged. I had one phone where I could not flash anything so I changed the motherboard and everything worked perfectly after the change.
I think I have a similar issue. Someone please help!

data recovery from dead gpu z3

Hello
so after filming for 5 seconds underwater my z3's screen turned black and turned off permanently. though it seems to still turn on normally
after unsuccessful replacements and search on the internet the logical explanation was that the gpu is dead
so now i want to recover the data (photos, videos, music) i have on the internal memory
the device is locked by pattern lock so i can't access it when i plug it (it just detects the device)
i want to know if flashing will remove the lock without clearing my data
and if so how can i do it with a dead screen
best regards
I can think some ways of doing data recovery...
1: Safe method if you have recovery!
you can do a soft reset by pressing the button on the side of the sd card/sim tray.

}
Press it till it vibrates for a second time, this time it will shut down.
After this, you can turn on your phone and enter recovery (if you have a custom rom or kernel), in this mode you can fetch your files from the internal storage by connecting it via usb to your computer.
2: Use as last resort and confirm the internal storage wiping before doing anything...
Unlock bootloader (I cant remember if it does erase the internal storage partition or not) to install a custom kernel that has recovery.
3: Probably the second safest but it's needs searching the tools if you don't know how to use adb.
If you do have USB Debugging enabled in the phone, you can try to fetch files by using adb in your computer.
Open a CMD in the directory where adb.exe is located and write this code
adb.exe pull /sdcard/ c:/sdcardbackup/
Click to collapse
It will fetch your files from internal storage to a folder called sdcardbackup on your C:/ drive
Hope this can help you!
If you're going with flashtool, you need to wipe the data partition called userdata since there is where the config is stored but it also wipes the internal storage
hello thanks for the reply
1. tried no luck
2. bootloader is already unlocked and phone is rooted
3. i remember unlocking usb debugging (always do on android) so i will try this, i'll keep you updated on the results

Hi, as your bootloader is already unlocked try to continue with 2.
If you haven't installed a custom kernel try to install a kernel like EliteKernel, you can find it here in the forums.
Use flashtools and flash boot.img via fastboot mode on your phone, that way you will have a recovery working.
update
flashed Z3FotaTWRPV5.img into it and got it to boot to recovery
i just got my pictures including the picture that killed my gpu (ironic)
anyway thanks for the help... can i edit this to solved?

UNBRICKED FROM NO:12 (FUNC_LOAD_IOM3) Error NO:1 / unable to find crypto footer

Hi everyone
Firstly I'd like to thank this forum and all the contributors that posted. Without these useful information I wouldn't able to unbrick my phone.
I'd like to share my experience with "Error! Func NO:12 (FUNC_LOAD_IOM3) Error NO:1". and e:could not mount data and "unable to find crypto footer"
My phone had this error in the past and it has successfully unbricked.
This took me two weeks, I've tried every single guide I can find online, somehow I got it to work.
I hope my post will help you towards fixing your issue.
(Its strange for people like you and me still fiddling with our mate 7s in 2018 )

I have a MT7-UL00 with 6.0 marshmellow B561. I was trying to downgrade to 5.1. I was following a downgrade guide and was told I need to card flash (power, vol + and vol -) a B500 update.app rom via SD card first in order to downgrade.
I failed because of two reasons, I connected my USB to my pc when trying to flash it and my SD card was in FAT format rather than NTFS.
After my card flash failed I used HuaweiUpdateExtractor_0.9.9.5 to repack the B500 update.app and flashed it by using TWRP, and this bricked my phone.
(There might be other things I've done in the interim like wipe all partitions etc, I don't remember the steps on how I bricked it)
I start to get Error! Func NO:12 (FUNC_LOAD_IOM3) Error NO:1 and I can not re-enter recovery mode
I rebooted to fastboot mode (power and vol -), and flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 and pressing (vol +, vol - and power) I was able to get into TWRP.
In TWRP, I cannot do any wipe or repair or reformat, I get an error message "e:could not mount data and "unable to find crypto footer"
I've reflashed twrp-v1-hi3630.img and reformatted the all the partitions and fixed the mount issue.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvXbzhJEan8
I've then followed the downgrade process to downgrade from 6.0 to 5.1
I've rebooted into fastboot and flashed stock B561 rom using fastboot. (I can not find any stock 6.0 update.app rom)
(After this step somehow TWRP 3.0 stopped working, I have to downgrade to 2.8.7.0, but I don't think you require to do this to complete the following steps)
(Your recovery should be back to stock standard, if not you need to flash your recovery back to Huawei recovery)
Then I flashed B500 using card flash (reformat SD card to NTFS, put dload folder in root path in SD card, unplug usb cable, press vol +, vol - and power to flash)
Then I flashed B351 using card flash (same process)
Then the phone recovered. I was able to boot into the OS with android 5.1.
I hope this information helps you to unbrick your phone.
Good luck.
Will give this a try, am also in that same problem. Hope the phone wakes up
